I have used Dick's lock and safe twice now for my new house~ They are reliable, friendly, and very flexible with time! First time was for my back sliding glass door when the lock wouldn't stay locked so I had to call Randy's team in for help! They came right on time and ready to go. The price to fix it was fair, affordable, and to this day I don't have any problems. I recently called them again to fix another issue - my side gate door wasn't aligned correctly so anytime it got windy, my side door would open on its own and slam really hard (I'm sure my neighbors were pissed) so I decided to get this fixed as soon as possible! I called Randy early in the morning and he was pretty much available whenever. I even told him that I preferred morning since I have to get to work by a certain time. I found them first on Angie's List and then looked at the Yelp reviews. When I initially called about re-keying file cabinets and doors at my mother's house, Randy wanted to know if the front door and the doors to the garage were the same manufacturer. I knew that the front door was a Kwickset but I wasn't sure about the doors to the garage. He was upfront with me that he couldn't re-key the garage doors if they were Schlage locks. He also said that it would be easy to re-key the file cabinets so each could use the same key since they are brand new. I was pleased that Randy was upfront with me on my initial call. A week later, I scheduled Randy to 1) re-key the file cabinet to match the existing file cabinet key; and 2) re-key 2 garage doors to match the front door. Randy gave me a time range of 2-2:30 PM on when he would arrive at my mother's home and he promptly arrived at 2:15 PM. He honored the Angie's List coupon and gave us 2 additional free keys and a 5% discount. He also lubricated the door handles on the 2 garage doors and made sure that the left side of the front door was secured and latched. I would use him again. read more

I did a dumb thing and locked myself out of my bedroom door with my keys (and spare doh! I know) inside the room and had to call a locksmith! I was already going to be late to work and didn't want to spend however long mcgyver-ing and picking the lock myself (which I initially tried to do with YT videos but to no avail) or climb up and through a two story window. Luckily Dicks Lock and Safe was open and their technician was available to come help. They quoted me over the phone and Ryan, my locksmith technician, was very prompt. He did wear shoe covering and a face mask before entering which I appreciate. And literally 2 seconds later, my door was unlocked. I found out about Dicks Lock n Safe when they came out to my school where I work at to replace door locks. So I asked for his card and set an appointment up with them to rekey my new house I just moved into. Randy and his wife Peggy were on time, in fact they were early. Called Dick's Lock & Safe, requesting service on multiple door locking issues. Ryan arrived on time and fixed the keying issue and dead bolt issue, I had with the Andersen patio door. The other issue I had was that the front door was hard to unlock on occasion. Ryan took the lock apart and fixed the problem. Ryan was professional and thorough. The service was reasonably priced, particularly compared to the Andersen dealer in Brea I had called who wanted $189 to come out to just ascertain the problem (any labor and parts were on top of the $189). We would certainly use Dick's again and would recommend them to others. read more

Do not use this company. We paid them $195.00 to install a keyless deadbolt and when it stopped working 4 months later we called to ask them to come fix it or install a new one that we purchased. They first claimed that they did not do the work at our house. When I gave them the date of the job, the check number they were paid on and the amount they said ok. They made an appointment to come out the next day and they did not show up nor did they call. When we called them to ask why they did not come for the appointment or call, the owner didn't really have anything to say. He said well, we don't really offer warranty work, at which point I kindly reminded him that I already told him I was not expecting warranty work and that I would pay for the new lock to be installed.
