This place (actually called 'California custom clothing' or something similar) has earned my business for a very long time. I called at 7:30 and asked how late they were open, and the man on the phone said, "How soon can you be here?" I told him 20 minutes, and he said that would be fine. BUT then I discovered that my daughter was not ready to go, so I had to get her dressed, causing me to arrive right at 8 PM. The employee was shutting the lights off and locking the door, and I said "Sorry for making you wait, I'll come back another day." He, however, was insistent that I come in anyway- he turned the lights back on, turned the register back on, and told me to take my time shopping. I found some pants, and then a pair of shorts. When I went to the register, he rang everything in, but then said "I think these shorts are on sale" and went back and checked that they were in fact $2 cheaper than he'd charged me. Great prices, great selection, great customer service. Never had anything but a great experience here, and I come in to buy shorts, belts, hats, etc. every few months. Don't buy Dickies brand anywhere but here, cuz the prices and service are way better than department stores. read more

Checked in today to see if I could get some work pants and found a pair I liked. Told the owner "I dont get paid till friday but I will come back" which I was intending to do. He later then called me a liar and kicked me and my friends out the store whom were still looking around and were going to purchase something. We did not create a scene and greeted the owner with respect and intent to purchase products. Would not reccomend due to him being a douche bag. read more

Thie store is located 2504 Jamacha Rd. Rancho San Diego. This store sells Dickies but will not stand behind the quality. I was trying to exchange a work pair that had come apart at the seams after washing them once with a receipt.The store said they do not warranty the product and to contact Dickies. This is not proper customer service, I am sure Dickies would honor an exchange due to the seams coming apart. II will no longer buy my work clothes at this store. these people are jerks and they won't accept anything to be returned.probably because their clothes are knock offs...my zipper broke the first time I wore them for work... when I return them the man was very rude and wouldn't let me return The pants...I Had a receipt...no stars for these guys..from now on I am only going to buy products from Americans... read more

They will not return anything. They will accuse you of causing any factory defects and of wearing the item. BUYER BEWARE. Inspect every seam and stitch , and make sure the item is 100% before you leave and don't waste your time trying to return anything. Not owned or run by Americans. read more

In all fairness I have decided to write a review about the first time I was in this store. Don't be confused about my one star and then 5 star ratings. The experiences were completely different because of the people. The first time I was in this store I loved it. It's a large store with many clothes and hats to choose from. It is clean and organized. The gentleman that assisted me was Hussain. He was very friendly and polite, very professional and fun to talk to. I had a great experience and left very happy, thinking that I couldn't wait to bring my wife back. I was looking forward to returning here again. What ruined it was bringing something back to exchange for size and having the experience I did with Mohamed. (See my one star review. I just saw the review by Shane S, and had to say something. Obviously Shane has never been in the store. It's not a "California lifestyle" store; it's a Dickies outlet. Dickies has excellent quality clothes for school uniforms, work, and whatever. Dickies clothes are very well made...my teen-age son has been wearing Dickies pants to school for years, and he usually grows out of them before they show any signs of wear. Before I started getting Dickies, he used to tear the knees out of his pants. In addition to Dickies clothes, this store has a variety of items that would be of interest to people looking for work clothes or school clothes. At back-to-school time, they often have some nice backpacks for sale. They have a wider selection than I expected from a Dickies outlet. read more

The couple working the store were very rude, especially the male. My friends and I were coming from Cuyumaca college looking around and were planning on coming back to buy something later in the week. The man working the store was very rude and essentially kicked us out. The couple were watching our every move as well, which made it extremely uncomfortable. My first time visiting a Dickies store was not fun. I do not recommend anyone to go to this store, visit another one if possible. This store just lost business. read more
