Just 2 order Kiosk( with no personality) ready to take my order. After looking left and right,staring straight ahead and waiting a few minutes,I decided I would Kiosk. After a short learning curve I had ordered my sliced brisket topped baked potato with butter,sour cream and cheese. As soon as I paid, the back door flung open and a gentleman ask me if I had ordered a drink. Just water please. He handed me a cup and I went to find a table. About five minutes later my name was called and I picked up my good looking $10.99 brisket stuffed potato. Long story short,it was an easy,reasonably priced,generous ,tasty dish. I would return for it but,still suspicious of the other offerings. This isn't a serious Texas Bar B Que offering. That takes a lot more commitment, investment and love than a grocery store business plan can cover. However,it's good enough. You know that urge you get occasionally for just a taste? The first time I went to Fred's, the owner was at the register greeting everyone who came in with an enthusiastic smile. I had a feeling the food was great because every seat in the restaurant was filled. I ordered the #4 - double meat and cheese Cheesesteak with mayo and fries. Luckily, I found a table as my food arrived and quickly found myself in Cheesesteak heaven! For the price, it was an incredible portion of steak and cheese, and every bite seemed better than the last until the end. I came back with my partner, this time adding their delicious Cheesesteak egg rolls to my order. She chose the pepper Cheesesteak and thought everything was delightful. Everything was so good that it was hard to resist the urge to order more food for later! You can tell that Fred genuinely enjoys his work, and his energy is infectious. His staff and customers all appear very happy to be there, creating a sense of a close-knit community.
