Rating: 7.5/10 Date Last Visited: 7/13/2026 We ordered the Ribs Dinner ($23) and Brisket Dinner ($21). Each plate comes with the choice of two sides, and we both got coleslaw and potato salad. The ribs here were surprisingly very tender and flavorful, while the brisket also had the perfect mix of lean and fat. They also make their dinner rolls fresh in-house, so every 20-30 minutes or so they'll come around with a basket of fresh rolls and offer them to people. For the price, you're getting a solid deal. Good meat, multiple sides, and unlimited fresh dinner rolls. On top of that, they give out BOGO free coupons often, so then the price comes down to $12/person. The price for taste here is unbeatable and I think that deserves a five star alone for that. Once they stop making those coupons, it'll probably go down to a four star. Overall, I would recommend this place for casual amazing value BBQ. read more

Spring Creek Barbeque - St. Louis Rib Dinner with Potato Salad and Coleslaw - Barbeque Near Me - Frisco, Texas

Spring Creek is like a reliable friend that you like to see every few years but you certainly wouldn't move in with. The bbq was pretty good, but nothing really blew me away. The hot, fresh bread rolls were easily the highlight. The restaurant was clean, which always helps the experience feel a bit better. Service was fine, just a bit rushed, like they were trying to keep things moving along. Portions are decent, sides are okay, and prices are what you'd expect for BBQ. Overall, it's a solid experience, but with so much strong BBQ competition nearby, it doesn't quite stand out. Still a good, dependable option. read more

Tried this place again after 4 years, only because Tenders down the road was closed on Sunday and husband really wanted BBQ. We were once again let down. I've already commented on my original post about most things but here's my take this time. We were here for an hour- not ONE time did the bread girl come over! and that's even after we asked about it. Someone was offering ice cream to tables and we said, "no thank you but we'd love some rolls", Still no rolls ever offered. The girl offered rolls to 4 tables total in one hour. So 40$ for 2 lunches and 1 coke, and NO BREAD. read more

Spring Creek is a Dallas institution. Wish they had better brisket. Ribs and chopped pork were nice . Pork is with a mustard sauce (Carolina style). Sides are great! Pickle and pepper bar to grab as much as you want. And of course their fresh hot bread. Be sure to ask for the ones from the person who walks around with the basket. Sweet tea and regular tea to drink with your meal. read more

Food was decent but amazing staff made up for it!! Best thing on the menu has to be the ribs.

So very disappointed in Spring Creek BBQ off Preston in Frisco. I ordered online and went to pickup. I should have checked my order but after working all day I was tired and hungry. I got a half pound ribs and half pound pull pork and some sides for my mother and I to celebrate pre-4th of July. So is it me or did the weights change? Is this actually a half pound of each. Barely made 1 sandwich and we got 2 1/2 ribs each. all this for $50 it's crazy Never again! read more

Food was prepared perfectly. Service was A+. The surrounding were very clean. The Frisco, TX location is my favorite. read more

I was gonna' let my order taking 2x as long as originally estimated because it was Friday night. I was gonna' let my meat being pretty dry slide cuz' at least I'd gotten a deal from Uber Eats and it was still reasonably tasty. But getting the worst craps I've had in years after? So much so I had to toss the leftovers cuz it didn't feel safe to have them? Nope. Horrible. read more

Had the brisket and sausage plate. Plenty of food. Came with two sides and bread. Also servers goes around with as much fresh hot bread as you want. Enjoyed the potato salad. The brisket was kind of dry and needed better flavor. The sausage was good. Typical Texas bbq with food line. read more

Been eating Spring Creek since the 90s. To me, this is just what BBQ is supposed to be. I realize it's the "fast food" of BBQ, but the ribs are ALWAYS on point. Brisket can be hit or miss. Sides are consistent. Just don't go any later than an hour before closing. The brisket definitely gets worse later in the evening. read more

To me, Sprint Creek may not be that overpriced Texas best bbq, but it's sure GOOD BBQ at a decent price. I'm not real big on brisket. I'm a ribs guy. For the price, you get a pretty decent order of ribs, then pick your sides. Don't forget the excellent rolls. She brings them around fresh all the time! I've been to this location several times and the employees are always friendly and helpful. As usual, I'm to full for dessert, but you can always take some home! Join the email club so you can get some specials. If you're looking for BBQ that won't break the bank, Spring Creek is your place. read more

Please...someone is gonna have to intervene! A lot of employees standing around the ,front behind the counter, supposed to be serving but yapping! Really my experience with service at the last several locations Ive been to is severely lacking. Only a corporate intervention is gonna save them. They have what I consider a great bogo deal. Its been going on for decades. You get a coupon in the mail once a week for a buy one get one free rib dinner. They serve you about 7 ribs,2 sides, rolls sauce etc. It is a delicious bargain. However, its not what it once was and for some reason Spring Creek is rollling down hill at all their locations and no one seems to want to save them. We are living in a Gold Rush Texas Bar B Que era and these guys just cant get it done. Their other meats arent worth trying. Stick with the BOGO rib dinner, enjoy your delicious meal and be happy. read more

I was so disappointed in the horrible food here. The brisket was very dry. I took one bite and it went into file 13. I would never return here. Back to the great bbq at Hutchins!! read more

Y'all what happened?? The takeout combo portion size appears to have shrunk. Is it because of inflation? Is this change here to stay? Otherwise the ribs, rolls, and sides survived the trip home well and are reasonable portion sizes. read more

Spring Creek Barbeque - combo - the portion size is so small!! highway robbery. should've checked the box before leaving the store - Barbeque Near Me - Frisco, Texas

The service here has declined over the years when I first started eating here the service was good but when I came back her I was severely disappointed as time has gone on when I came here today I got ok service from the people serving the food but the quality of the ribs and brisket have gone down when I ate the ribs and brisket it was very bland The only good thing on it was the barbecue sauce and rolls the girl handing out the rolls gave me the best service out of them all the corn was not appetizing at all and had no seasonings on them and water popped from the cornels in my eyes and the mac and cheese tasted like kraft I would reccomed other locations than this one read more

We always have great food and service every time we go. My husband likes the lean brisket, potato salad and beans. I get the pepper sausage and baked potato (loaded with cheese, sour cream, butter, bacon and chives). The all-you-can-eat rolls are the best in town and they come to your table to fill you up! On Sundays they give us free Blue Bell ice cream too! The staff is always friendly and helpful. Most importantly they are well-staffed. read more

The food here is delicious. It's easy to order and pay. The service is great too. There's a woman who carries a big basket of bread around to hand out. She told us another batch was being made and brought us more. It was warm, straight from the oven. We had a party of 9 and we were able to sit in the room in the very back of the restaurant. It was nice and quiet. I recommend this location! read more

Had the Baby Back Ribs. Sorry to say that they really lacked flavor. No seasoning. All I could do was drown them in BBQ sauce. Literally tasted like eating wax off a bone. Best of all is melt in your mouth hot, fresh out of the oven dinner rolls!! I loved it! I will definitely be back!! read more

It is my first time to visit this place. If you ever come to Texas you'll find a lot of competition when it comes to Barbeque. 2nd time here. Service is quick as usual and staff are always friendly. The Buns are JUST AMAZING. Normally they give one bun along with the meat and then normally comes around and serve fresh buns straight out of oven. Well I got 2 buns at one go and later she avoided me LOL. and I was shy to ask for more . Sounds crazy but I love the buns more than meat here. roasted chicken was yummy, loaded baked potato huge, but those rolls are the main attraction. very friendly staff.

Spring Creek is better than I remember. We went there for Spirit Night and the staff was really friendly. The butcher slicing up the sausage was mesmerizing as his knife skills were incredible. The brisket, sausage, and pulled pork were pretty good. Not the greatest in Frisco but not bad. The Macaroni and Cheese was really good but Green Beans were too salty. The rolls weren't as spectacular as I remembered them but still decent. The best part were the complimentary spicy jalapeños and juicy pickle spears. Yum! read more

Staff are pretty friendly, food is also good but I got a stomach ache and diarrhea later on after I ate the food.

First time at a SCBBQ in a long time. I had the ribs, and my wife had the turkey. Both were quite good. The green beans, corn on the cob, and potato salad were all delicious. Best of all, the rolls were hot, fresh, and yummy. The bread girl was delightful. So friendly! read more

We moved to Frisco over 20 years ago and I think this restaurant was here then. What can you expect? Exactly what most barbecue places offer. Yes it seems a little expensive, but I expect competitive with the others. You are getting a lot of meat on your plate that justifies the prices. As others have noted, there is a monthly coupon in one of those mailers that arrive in your mailbox for buy one get one free ribs but it is only good Monday through Thursday. The coupon brought us here this time. Typically a plate is $20. So, you get what you pay for and it is worth it here. They also have a large party room you can reserve. Nice touch. A real Texas feel here that is not "staged" by a decorator. Just down home. read more

Spring Creek Barbeque - Brisket - Barbeque Near Me - Frisco, Texas

I'm speechless. I ordered lunch from Spring Creek today and this is what I received when I asked for sliced brisket. My roommate smokes meat all the time and he was shocked at what he saw. He said there is no smoke ring and it looked like it was microwaved or cooked in a crock pot, definitely not smoked. Also the color was very off putting..I've never seen brisket like this. If that's what you want to call it. When I tell you it was so bad I didn't eat it, see pictures for proof. The only thing they have going for themselves is the sides. Definitely should not consider this barbecue. Super disappointing and disgusting to be honest. I read the bad reviews but against my better judgement, I ordered it anyways. If you are on the fence please go elsewhere. You will be disappointed! What a waste of money! As an employee, how did you pack this order and think that's okay? Wow. read more

We decided we wanted BBq so went to Spring Creek Bbq a bit up from the mall boy o boy was it delicious everything was pipin hot fresh and delicious the brisket was moist and marbled to perfection the ribs were full of flavor and literally falling off the bone. We also asked for a basket of fried okra that came out to order super fast and made with perfection. Then there was a lady walking around offering hot fresh bread. The restaurant was beautiful smelled delicious. The customer service was amazing and then one of the managers by the name of Danny walked over to us, asked if we needed anything else. He was glad to offer us a refill on our tea super pleasant experience. The food was a 10 out of 10 I wish I would've brought some of that fresh hot bread roadhouse who?????? This is a must try if you are in Frisco Texas and walking around the mall and making an appetite go to Spring Creek barbecue you won't regret it. It is fresh, hot and super delicious and not to mention they're desserts are outstanding we had the coconut cream pie. The husband had banana pudding and we had also pecan pie. Price is crazy high. This place offers coupons which pretty much forces you to use them or don't bother coming. Expect to pay over $20 per person. BBQ is not cheap. Prices have gone up. Covid has forced some pricing changes as well. But this place is still expensive. So you've been warned. I like the food. But won't return without better value. I guess the ribs are best deal and the plate dinners are worst deal if this helps anyone. read more

Hadn't eaten here for at least 7 or 8 years. I wasn't too impressed then, but thought we would give it another shot - things can change. Unfortunately, not here. Ate here on a Monday evening about 5:30. The place was almost empty. Pleasant, friendly staff. I had brisket and sausage, with mac & cheese and baked beans on the side. Wife had a big salad. With enough BBQ sauce the meat tasted pretty good. Mac $ cheese were also pretty good. The beans had a very funky off-taste, so I didn't eat more than one bite. Wife said her salad tasted good, but after she got home she got pretty sick to her stomach, which went away the middle of the next day. Not sure that it was from her salad, but definitely not sure it wasn't either. In any event, she refuses to eat there again, & I agree - there's too many other good BBQ joints in Frisco & Plano to risk going here again. read more
