This is a great location. I've eaten here a ton and enjoyed getting some free food from the rewards program. And the staff is extremely nice.

Juan took great care of us today! We stopped in to get a bite to eat!! The pulled pork & chopped brisket sandwiches were delicious! Love the spicy BBQ sauce!! My husband got the waffle fries & they were fresh & hot. I got a side of Cole slaw & it was delicious! stop by for lunch or a snack & ask for Juan, he will take good care of you!! Restaurant is clean!! We will be back!

This started out as "sliced" brisket and ended up like this.

Second time ordering some extra food to go with the turkey and sides for Thanksgiving, for those of us who don't want to eat just turkey and ham. First time (last year) the order wasn't ready. Had ordered it online 2 weeks prior. No big deal, they threw it together pretty quickly. We mainly go to get the loaded mashed potato's and fried okra and other sides from them; you know, Dickey's, past about 1995 or so, is just straight up fast food saran wrapped lackluster BBQ. We ordered sliced brisket and sausage, and it came as expected: mediocre at best. But, it gave us the fix we needed. Sides were decent. Second time (this year) the order wasn't ready, again. They looked overwhelmed and ill-equipped with the proper staff and experience to handle the Thanksgiving rush for food. And they're not very friendly at all. Anyway, they threw it together quickly and I took it home. This time, the sides were bland, (the loaded mashed potatoes weren't really loaded with anything) the kielbasa was rubbery, and the "sliced" brisket turned into minced brisket the second it was lightly disturbed with a fork. To illustrate, see the picture attached of what the serving tray looked like after the meal was over. This is what crap brisket looks like folks. See the smoke ring? Yeah, I don't either. Chopped brisket and we didn't even have to chop it! It was kind of juicy, but tough, chewy and flavorless. Horrible even by Dickey's standards. There won't be a third time. We are done sacrificing quality for convenience, especially at this location. And especially now that you can have some great catered Texas BBQ shipped... which sounds crazy... but I have no doubt its better than "fresh" Dickey's!

This location offers a Take Out counter separate from the cattle-chute for dining room folks. They offer daily specials, and in the dining room, they have complimentary soft-serve. The staff is extremely friendly and quick at this location, as well. I only had an hour for lunch on this day, and I wanted something out of the ordinary. I am well-versed in the BBQ "system" in other places, but Texas always has it's own way of doing things - BBQ is no different. Until recently, I had never seen BBQ service line that was self-serve (for sides, at least). So, if you are new to this, you need to figure out what you want, meat-wise, and tell the dude with the big knife. He will chop/slice your selection to-order & had you the plate. The next step is yours, literally. Slide to your left just a bit and you will find a wide selection of sides. I must recommend the Mac & Cheese at Dickey's. It is one of the best restaurant Macs you will find. You can even pick up your dessert (before your meal - makes you feel like a naughty child...I mean, could you actually eat your banana pudding first?). Pay. Stop at the little relish/sauce bar. Sit. Engage. I will be the first to say I clearly have no understanding of the connection of pickles & BBQ. None. But...if you swing that way, you will find them next to the BBQ sauce along with onions (sliced) and peppers. I like peppers. They add some spice to your meal. On this day, I got a Beef Baker. What's that, you ask? Chopped beef on top of a fully loaded tater. YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! The potato was light & fluffy with just the right amount of toppings to tater ratio. The Big Knife Guy will ask you what you want, so if you have a particular distaste, you are not forced to partake. Though my Baker did not "come with" a side, I simply could not pass up some Mac & Cheese. I also grabbed a dessert before checking out. So, for the tater, side, dessert, and drink (large, go-cup)...$17. The only detraction here was that the bark on the brisket was almost dried out - very hard. Conversely, the rest of the beef was tender & moist. All-in-all, it was a great lunch. My eyes were bigger than my stomach, but it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO good. Oh, and they have lemonade - REAL LEMONADE!!

This place tastes like manufactured bbq. It's ok, but not as good as real homemade bbq.

We got the baby octopus bibimbap with the steamed egg and bulgogi bibimbap with the tofu soup. The banchan was also really fresh and the kimchi really stood out. The portions were huge! I love that the bibimbap comes out on a flat sizzling pan to maximize the crunchy rice you get from it. The baby octopus was delicious and had great flavor. The steamed egg had a spongy texture which and was also really flavorful. The tofu soup was not as thick as some that you might get but it had a really good savory flavor that you can taste in the soup. It was overall a real great experience and a great value if you're going at lunch. Definitely adding to our regular rotation.

Hands down we were treated like royalty here!…read more Got the pork belly and beef rib meat and to go with that bbq, mushroom bibimbap. Even before the star of the meal appeared, kudos to the smattering of banchan that came out: sprouts, cucumber kimchi, sweet potato, mini meat patties, kimchi, steamed egg, tofu soup, salad greens seasoned, cheese + corn... I hope I didn't miss any! The mushroom bibimbap is flavorful! We've never had this particular bibimbap before and man it goes well with the meat. Beef rib was tender and nice. We wanted it a bit rare :) and it was delish! Dipping sauce was nice but honestly doesn't need it! Oh and the grilled mushroom is good with it. Pork belly was the star of the meal. Had it with 2 week aged grilled kimchi (so special!!) and we got samjang with it, yummm. We were stuffed to the rim and had to take a little box of leftovers home. We were so touched with a little desert rice drink at the end, really rounded out the meal and experience all together. A+ for the service. Amazing job and everything grilled to perfection.

The Good: The…read morecustomer service is very friendly. Very kind workers who are very helpful and explains the menu well. I enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant with the large mural of a Hawaiian beach and simple island decor peppered throughout. The restaurant is also very clean. I also was fairly happy with the portion sizes for the chicken dishes. The vegetables in the Hawaiian plates were cooked very well and were really good complements with the lunch meals. What didn't work for me: The decoration alone is where this stopped feeling like a Hawaiian restaurant. The Hawaiian plates felt more Asian inspired rather than true Hawaiian inspired. The flavor is excellent, don't get me wrong, but I felt it was a bit of an identity crisis. The Beef BBQ short rib pieces were fatty and overcooked. I had only a few tender bites of beef but the rest was so chewy and fatty that I had to spit it out. Also only had 6-7 pieces of short rib for a $20 plate which I didn't really feel was worth it. The chicken katsu was crispy however I didn't care for the quality of the chicken meat. It was very stringy and tough to bite through in some areas. I was very much looking forward to the macaroni salad but it was just fine. I had high hopes for this one but it just wasn't creamy enough to blow me away. If you have ever visited a Hawaiian island and ever felt like you needed a fix of that memorable vacation, this place won't bring you back to those island memories but you will still be treated very well from a very kind staff. Their attitude is very aloha however I hope one day I can take a bite of their meal and be transported back to island vibes. I would recommend this place if you want solid Asian flavors, but not Hawaiian island specific flavors.

Even when we weren't sure about which appetizers we wanted she allowed us to split appetizers- a small portion where we got to try the apps. We tried the tenderloin crostini which was delicious. Along with coconut shrimp. The shrimp were ginormous. And the sauces were so good. Our fav was the mango marmalade. The best bread I have ever had in my life!!!! You know how sometimes they bring a roll to the table for the table to share? Not here boyeeeee Each person gets their own roll. I don't even know how to explain this heavenly bread. It truly is the best beard I have ever had before. I would come eat here again JUST FOR THE BREAD. The crab cake is out of this world. Huge jumbo clumps. Also comes with a variety of sauces. The wasabi one was our favorite. You must order the crab cake! My husband got the ribeye rare and said it was the best steak he has had, and he eats a ton of steak. I got their off menu item of carne asada tacos. The meat was sooooo tender. They don't use flank steak they use a tenderloin and it just melts. The mushrooms were Devine. Glad I ordered the carne asada. The adult Mac and cheese was good but just good. Brussels sprouts were good (not the best I have had) but I think I was also just so full by this point. The asparagus is huge!!! Oh the best finisher ever- the peanut butter pie!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!! I'm not even a dessert girl and I couldn't stop eating it. First time me and my husband were fighting over the last bite.
