Big Yellow Cup!

So excited to see a Dickies BBQ! We had one In our town and it closed - we loved it! Ate here two times this trip! We ate lunch on Tuesday and on Wednesday. Had the rib special on Tuesday! Dickies Ribs are the best! Had the pulled pork sandwiches on Wednesday. Sides both days were great! It was nice to see they were busy too! Thank you

1 meat plate. $9.99. Lots of food. Good too!

I've been to several Dickey's locations over the years in various states and I found my experience at this one to be the best by far! Friendly and fast service and the food seemed very fresh! They have seating for about 50 and you go through the line to order like you would at Subway. They serve Coca-Cola products and iced teas and they have 3 bbq sauces to self serve from (you ladel them from a warmed pot into little Solo cups). No salt/pepper or sauces at your seating area, only paper towels. I ordered a 1 meat plate which came with 2 sides. They have maybe 10 different sides from which to choose including fried okra, mac and cheese, fried onion strings, potato salad, baked beans, jalepeno beans, waffle fries and several others. The 1 meat plate is priced at $9.99 and I felt it was a very good value! I was given an ample amount of brisket and plenty of food per side item as well. The only aspect to the meal that I didn't enjoy was the dinner roll...low quality, but not a big deal. I was totally full by the time I was done eating and had no room for the roll anyhow. Please see my pics for details on what my meal looked like. Plenty of parking in the lot out front and to the side and it's next door to the Myrtle Beach AAA. I would definitely return here. Positive: they have strong and free WiFi, just like 'merica!

I combined two, 2-meat platters. Sooo smart.

Wanted to see if Dickey's would satisfy my BBQ fix tonight and it did. Ordered two 2-meat dinners. Brisket, kilbasi and the cheese and jalapeno sausage, Mac& cheese, baked beans. (Was I wrong, I thought I saw smoked wings online but none at the store?). I really wanted wings tonight. Well, was the brisket pre-sliced? Just a question. I did get one of the end pieces that was a bit burned/liked really tough...hey, it happens...but for the most part, the brisket was ok. The star was the cheese/jalepeno sausage, spicy. The roll was not to my liking. The baked beans weren't any better than if they came from a can...same with the mac-n-cheese. Good, but nothing special. To sum up the visit, good, but nothing special.

The Mac and cheese

I love a good chopped bbq sandwich. Saw this place when taking my daughter to Zaxbys. Great customer service. The young man gave me suggestions on the sides of Mac and cheese and loaded baked potatoes. Both were delicious. The pork was tender. I like the meat to be seasoned without the sauce. It wasn't but the sweet spicy and Carolina sauces mixed made the sandwich perfect. I can only post the Mac and cheese, ate the sandwich and potatoes before I posted. Check them out.

The coleslaw was good, the mac & cheese mushy, the bun dense, the brisket good but dry, chicken outstanding

It was delicious and inexpensive. Fast service and free ice cream at the end was a nice touch. The spicy BBQ sauce was exceptional.

I have eaten there several times and have never gotten a bad experience. Brisket is better than the pulled pork.

Visited Paula Deen's Myrtle Beach, SC location on Mother's Day Sunday 2026 around 7pm. The place…read morewas full but there was no wait time for our party of 6 adults. We were promptly seated and drink orders were taken. The waiter reappeared about 15 mins later with drinks and cheese rolls and took the table's order. We settled on the Aspen family meal which consisted of 2 meats and 4 sides. We chose smothered pork tenderloin and fried chicken along with mac 'n cheese, collard greens, fried okra and candied yams. Fried chicken was awesome, crispy, with an assortment of dark and white meat pieces. We were looking for a knife because of the pork tenderloin and realized you don't need it. It was that tender. You could cut it with a fork and it too was awesome. Everyone raved about all the side items except the mac & cheese it was a bit on the bland side so it was not our favorite. There was no need for a refill of any of the food. The first round was very ample sized and everyone left very satisfied. And if I have a bit of feedback, our waiter was not attentive unlike the waitress serving the tables in our same area. He was didn't bother to come back and see if we needed a refill on any of the drinks or the food. The only disappointing thing was they no longer offer you a small sample size dessert to finish up your meal. It's been a while since I've dined here so I'm not sure how long that change has been in place. However, we understand the food industry continues to be impacted by the current economy. Overall, the restaurant was very clean, including the restrooms. It's a nice place to feed a large family who hates buffets.

This was a bucket list for me and unfortunately it wasn't as I had expected. My husband & I were to…read moremeet family for lunch at the Boardwalk and decided on Paula Deen's Family Restaurant. Will say the area, the location, the draw and the atmosphere is fantastic, but not the food. Our family left disappointed by the overall quality of the meal, particularly given the establishment's reputation and the high price point. The cost for 4 people exceeded our expectations an amount that felt disproportionate to the overall experience provided. The service was adequate. Our waitress was courteous, but could have kept up on our drink refills. The food fell significantly short of our heightened anticipation. Dishes arrived at the table within minutes of ordering, far quicker than would be consistent with individual dish preparations. This is served family style with options of your main courses and sides. The okra was good, but had some very hard pieces. I bit down on one that was so hard it could have broken a tooth. Green beans were decent, but extremely salty. The creamed potatoes were the best thing in my opinion and we were able to be served both the white & brown gravy's. The fried chicken was so dry and uneatable, with extremely minimal flavor and texture that did not meet standard expectations for Southern-style preparation. We realized after the fact: you can request the chicken parts. The macaroni & cheese tasted mushy offering little depth of homemade character. The biscuits were also very dry. They looked great, but tasted bland. The fried fish & tartar sauce was probably the most memorable dish. However, not everyone in our party had it because they do not like it. There's other options for "main" choices, but you'll have to compromise as a group. You'll have to do the same as far as the sides too! I would not recommend Paula Deen's Family Restaurant based on this visit and would advise potential patrons to consider other options for Southern comfort food while in Myrtle Beach. There are many more options within this great broad-walk complex. That said, I would suggest shopping in the gift store located in the downstairs of the building, as there are lots of merchandise that represents Paula Deen far better than her eatery. * If you happen to be a Food Network FAN (like I am). Flavor Town is coming to the other side of town. Location will be at the Myrtle Beach Mall & will open in June 2026*

We visited this location just before Christmas 2025 at about 6:30 pm on a weeknight and the joint was quite lively. They had a singer/guitar player doing his thing (we didn't really care for him, but that's ok) and the bar was well staffed. It's called Bourbon Street, but it's definitely not a whiskey or bourbon bar. Yes, they have Blanton's and a few other premium bourbons, but you won't find anything exotic at all here bourbon wise. This place is a sports bar that does bar food and steaks and they run happy hour specials as well. We didn't eat on our visit, but those that ordered food had dishes/items that definitely looked appealing. Prices are pretty fair here, but we felt the gem of this location was it's service. We never had to wait long at all to be served or refilled. Their bartenders (we were served by three different ones) were very friendly and quite attentive to all their customers. There's free wifi and plenty of seating both at the bar and at tables throughout. The floor plan is cut up sort of weirdly and I do wish it was one huge, open floor plan, but the roof support doesn't seem to allow for it. They do have a small stage in one corner for musicians, etc. This is a good sports bar that seems to do a really good job of sports barring. Check it out if you're looking for a competent and friendly sports bar.
