We don't normally get chicken at a BBQ place but we did this time because we weren't sure what the people we were meeting wanted. We are so glad we did!! The chicken might have been better than the brisket. Sides were really, really good. We had corn, beans (red kidney; so, so good) and the greens which were the perfect blend of vinegar and heat. We left with a Rich-a-rita for each adult and oh my gosh. I am so glad we did!! After a long drive, those ritas hit the spot. I personally liked the spice in the drink. Finally the service. From recommending the greens and margaritas to hooking us up with some extra plates and plastic ware, the owners at Smokin' A's were the best!! Thank you! When we are in the area, we'll stop back by!

The server was taking care of other tables but greeted us pretty quickly. The server brought our water and sweet tea along with rolls. Time to order! We ordered the brisket queso (brisket on the side) as an appetizer. The hubby ordered pork chop plate with cinnamon apples, Mac n' cheese and corn. He thought it was all tasty. I ordered the veggie plate. Salad with red vinaigrette - it was fresh. Sweet potato - I didn't realize it came with cinnamon and sweet butter. I would have asked for it plain. I just scraped off and it was good. The squash casserole wasn't very tasty. The broccoli was perfect. The cinnamon apples were good. I also ordered the black-eyed peas. It came with bacon. I passed on these. No dessert. We were stuffed. The ambiance was nice. Light country music was playing and both patrons in the booths by us were singing along. We will be back to try the daily specials. $$

The burger was priced well, and you definitely get a good portion for your money. I also ordered the Bacon Jalapeño Smoked Chicken Salad. Customer service was also quick, friendly, and inviting. Definitely coming back for another burger!

Although it's a food truck, there is outdoor seating available if you want to enjoy your meal there. One quick note: cash is preferred, but cards are accepted. The Bacon Jalapeno Ranch Chicken Salad immediately caught my eye, so of course I had to try it. I also ordered the beef burger. The Burger: This was the star of the show for me! It was a great size, so I ended up splitting it, and it was cooked perfectly. The flavor was good and this is definitely something I would order again. The Chicken Salad on the other hand was a little different than expected. It was very over loaded with onions, celery, and other veggies so I didn't taste bacon, ranch or Jalapeno. It wasn't bad but I didn't taste the flavors that persuaded me to get it which made it hard for me to be excited about it. Would I order the chicken salad again? Probably not. But that burger? YELP ! If you're ever in the DeSoto/Red Oak area and looking for a good food truck option, SmokBae BBQ is worth checking out. Support local food trucks

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and everyone at the counter was incredibly friendly. Huge shout out to Jesse, who was absolutely fantastic. He took the time to help me navigate the menu and make recommendations, and he was spot on with every single one. The food was seriously great. The baby back ribs were tender and full of flavor, the cracked black pepper sausage was amazing, and the marbled brisket was some of the best I've had in a long time. Top it off with a banana pudding that was incredible (thanks again Jesse)! Everything we ordered was excellent, the service was outstanding, and the whole experience was far better than this place's current rating suggests.
