Food, family, and fabulous experiences! If you are in the Jensen Beach area, take time to add this to your stop. This was some of the best BBQ I have had on a long time. We got the pulled pork specials with sides of Mac-n-cheese, okra, baked potato casserole, slaw, and added the baked beans. We also added wings with the sweet BBQ sauce. What a meal! While dining they brought samples of brisket around... I bought a pound to take home for another meal. This was some of the best brisket I have ever tasted and I enjoy brisket so I try it often. This was full of flavor, and did not need sauce to aid in any part of the enjoyment of dinner. Over 14 hours of cooking love really shows when you eat this brisket. With all of this about the food, let's now add the awesome staff that make you feel like family when you dine with them. Something that is missing in many places is a feeling of belonging when you done or shop. The store was clean, well managed with stocked supplies, and the kitchen is kept clean even while prepping many orders from the consistent line of customers arriving to order. Thank you for a great dinner tonight and I cannot wait to come back to the area and dine in your restaurant again. I ordered, and it went through and I was charged...then I got a text asking if I could come get it, since they were short staffed and had no one to deliver. I admit, I was irritated. The order went off without a hitch this time. I ordered the "3 Meat Plate" with my choices being: Jalapeño Cheddar Kielbasa, Pulled Pork, and Chopped Beef Brisket. The sides I chose were the Baked Potato Casserole and the Macaroni & Cheese. Oh...my...god! The meat was among the the very best BBQ I've ever had, including what I had while stationed in Texas! The sides were good, but pretty straight forward...the star was the meat. The kielbasa was very flavorful, but not too spicy, it was exactly what it should be to get all the flavor across; You could taste the meat, the cheese and the peppers. The beef brisket was super tender, and had just enough of the rind so you got a pleasant amount of smoky char without it being too much. The pork...it was melt-in-your-mouth! This place is awesome! I looked for BBQ near my job and this popped up I have never heard of it till now! I got lunch ordered on the app and got a pulled work sandwich, sweet BBQ sauce, Mac and cheese, and a pecan pie. Everything was so delicious and even the reusable cup is great. And I walked into a great rustic but iron modern restaurant and had the smell of meat hut right away I looked over the counter and it looked like heaven probably a smoked brisket wow! Was in the mood for bbq and wanted to try a new joint. Your order at a wall menu up front, rather than at your table. The pulled pork and fried okra I got was pretty good, but the amount was very small for a large price. The rolls are not good, and i would have preferred garlic bread. The brisket was dry and had a different seasoning then what I'm used to. The staff was very friendly. The pork ribs were poorly seasoned. It is impossible on Yelp to rate this place low enough. Overall a truly disgusting meal. Ordered online for pick up at 6:30, When I got there at 6:15 the order was already packaged and sitting there waiting. As I thought would be the problem, the food was COLD, not cool, COLD. No worries a microwave does wonders I thought. But nothing could save this meal. I paid $14 dollars for the Brisket plate, which was a huge mistake. The try I received was 65% white fat meat. I am not talking fatty meat, I am talking actual white fat, in all it glory. IT looked like it might have been used to season their green beans but not smoked. The potato salad was obviously made for someone incapable of chewing. It was essentially mashed potatoes with mustard thrown in. And all this joy was capped off when I realized there was no sauce in the bag at all. Nothing on the sandwiches or the plate. I had even ordered and paid for additional sauce. Nothing in Martin County is as bad as this place and Martin County has some pretty awful restaurants. This is by far the worst! There were two folks working there, both working their butts off to put out product and there was some kinda tall fat guy leaning against the wall drinking a soda watching them. It came to a tad over $12, but not out of line for the bbq places around here. My sides were ridged fries and baked beans, both generous portions. The amount of meat on the sandwich was almost too much! I used the sweet bbq sauce. Now that was a bit runnier than I like, but since it was on the side, I could control the amount used at a time. Everything was tasty. I really liked the beans, to my surprise. I would venture to say they were cooked with sauce and, possibly, pork. The two women working in the shop were beyond friendly, a plus. I was there about 1:30 and was the only customer at the time. By the time I left a couple more people arrived. I honestly believe that is due to where they are, near the back of the strip mall. Have eaten at many Dickey's over the years and this is one of the worst I have been to. All the meats were old and dry. The wings were fried to a crisp and small. The ribs had no meat all bone and the brisket and pork were dry. It seems that if you can find out when they cook the meat and get there that day the quality is great otherwise expect dry meats. They have also raised their prices and they are high now. I got a 3 meat plate, 12 wings and 1/2 lb of beef and the check was 46 dollars. This is my second time eating at a Dickey's BBQ Pit; the taste was the same... the ribs tasted the same but I think over cooked. At the other Dickey's in TN the back of the ribs was crunchy like bacon!!!!! Delicious!!! The sides complimented the meal we ordered just great. If there was a way to put a negative review, that would be it. The service was absolutely horrendous. We walked in, and the male and female employees acted as if we were disturbing them. Not being super hungry, I tried ordering the kids meal, and the man denied me ordering. The man behind the counter laughed and said "no! You're not 11." Okay sir, now you just lost an order and my business. My boyfriend ordered a brisket meal. He received a sandwich and a cup. The man and woman stated that they needed to make some french fries. We waited and waited and waited, all food was finished, both employees went outside to smoke, and we were looking at each other, questioning if the french fries were being made at all. I visited them on 3 different occasions each time they seamed very did functional I had to repeat my orders several times to the point they gave me the wrong food ... Since covid, we've been quarantined as much as humanly possible. Last night, we just didn't feel like cooking so we decided to go out to eat. Service just isn't like it used to be when we were growing up! Anyway, last night we decided to take our five grandchildren to Dickey's Barbecue in Jensen Beach, FL. What an excellent decision that was!! All five of our grandchildren, as well as the two of us, loved everything about Dickey's!! The food was super good, the price was great and the two employees who were there when we went, (I believe my granddaughter said their names were Willis and Mo) were super sweet to all of us! I'd recommend this place to everyone. In case you're wondering what was so great, even though I'm positive all of their food is equally tasty, between all of us, we had pulled pork, sliced brisket, chicken and ribs. Our sides were mac-n-cheese, green beans, okra, cabbage slaw, baked beans and jalepeno beans. We'll definitely be going back the next time we decide to take the grands out to eat again. Ordered delivery and it was not good. They messed up the sides. I did not get the spinach, but 2 green beans. I also got some potatoes with red pepper that I didn't order bc I do not like red peppers - I have no idea what it was. The smoked wings looked fried. Possibly like they may have been smoked days ago and fried to reheat, leaving it extremely dry. The sliced brisket also was dry and chewy. We only got one roll for 2 platters and it was not cooked or heated. It seemed as if it was taken out of a bag or defrosted and throw in the Togo container. Customer service here as far as the manager is A+! Originally I had an issue through a Door dash delivery service but after speaking with a manager about their part in the mess up, the manager had my whole order redone and had someone from his staff bring it to me at my job! I got his attitude right off and didn't ask him what made him an expert in the American people and tried to be polite and make the experience of eating in the restaurant more pleasant for both of us. The brisket was dry, the turkey was tasteless, and the ribs were fatty and tough. the potato salad was somewhat tasty but seemed to be two or three weeks old. All the sauces were overly salty. On the way out the door it occurred to me that maybe the guy was trying to get himself fired so he could get unemployment. As good as I'd expect from a franchise bbq joint. Pork sandwich was 7/10, beans and slaw were too. Not bad, but nothing special imo. A solid "C+". Average. The sauces were just okay as well and the serving method is messy. It's cool that they're heated but there has to be a better way. The Fixins bar was a mess too. Maybe I got there after the lunch rush and before the cleanup for dinner. The -2 stars here are mainly for cleanliness and service. This place just opened and looks dirty already just about anywhere you look...even the front door looked all messy. From there, I'm looking for more and found it just about everywhere. Check those stainless counters, the open top garbage can right next to the fixins bar, cracks and crevices, etc. and teach your crew proper glove usage. Better training is also needed for staff to engage people upon entry and put forth a little extra. Stand out! Rise above! Roll through the new Culver's down the street and see how you're greeted and spoken to during a transaction to see what I mean. Best of luck as I personally think you can never have too many bbq options in one city and 3 stars is definitely still an option in my book but, as-is, I'm not hurrying back and would be surprised if many others do. I had pulled pork sandwich which was good. Wife had what was supposed to be pulled chicken but was sliced and had weird texture. We have a Dickey s where we live in Virginia. Actually we have several. The old original one is excellent. The new ones which are part of the recent franchise expansion push are all lousy. Anyhow this one was OK except for the weird chicken texture which was best described as gelatinous. One more thing, the old Dickey's have a soft ice cream machine with free ice cream cones, serve yourself. That is a nice touch. The new franchises don't have one. read more
