We usually go to Park Avenue BBQ on Mondays since they offer a $20.95 baby back rib special. (normal price $32). Ribs come with two sides which are excellent. The ribs while not the best I've ever had are still pretty good. I have tried this place 3 times within the last week or so bc I have been on a bbq kick, today was my last straw with the brisket they serve I thought it might have been a bad batch the first two times since I went two days in a row.. I unfortunately didn't get a photo but there is no way they smoke their brisket- I was told they only "chop" their brisket by the server I was unable to get it sliced -they said they smoke it for 12 hours over night) it is possibly the most dry and disappointing brisket I have ever had in my life :( All three times I have visited I have been so disappointed with the meat- the ribs were actually quite nice but I get a very sick stomach eating pork so I was only able to take 1 bite of the rib On the other hand this place has the best collard greens I have ever tried- they have a more tangy taste which I love The amount of onions they put in them though- is insane and they could at least be chopped up more it's terrible having to pick 2 whole onions worth of slices out of your collard greens despite picking out entire onions from it- the collards are very good! By far possibly my favorite -even though this is a large Chain The Mac and cheese was very sad, it was dry and just not cheesy I would not recommend which is unfortunate bc Mac is a staple for bbq!! The baked beans were also very good! I would order those and the collards again! Honestly I don't think I'd recommend my friends or family to go here just because of how dry the meat was and it was that dry every time I ordered- I also don't trust the fact they smoke it- I'd love to see the process- no visible smoke rings and extremely dry- for a bbq place to have dry meat. Went in for the Full Rack of St Louis Ribs for $17.76 and it was delicious. Our sides were fries and coleslaw. They also serve spicy pickle slices and corn bread or garlic toast. I wasn't feeling like a slab of meat so I made myself a DIY "sampler" of the veggie sides, the stew, and the porcamari. That's right: pork strips battered and fried like calamari. Save an Octopus (they're sentient!) and eat porkamari! Delicious! The stew was flavorful and full of tomatoes, corn, and beans. I ate the best collared greens and cole slaw I've had in years. The staff was attentive and fun, keeping our drinks full and happily serving up items despite our unusual orders. Had a wonderful BBQ sandwich with a side of fries at the Stuart location for lunch today. It was $11 and was very filling and delicious. We sat in a booth and the wait staff was wonderful. Before we even had a chance to look at the menu they came to ask if we wanted water or another drink. As you can see from the interior photo, it isn't fancy but it is clean and very homey feeling. We go to the one on Federal Highway in Stuart a lot. I just never reviewed it. We always get the St. Louis rib whole slab. We split it because it's huge. Plenty of meat on the bones. It comes with two sides and either Texas toast or a corn muffin. We got potato salad and coleslaw this time. Both sides are excellent. We've gotten the Mexican corn which is fantastic. Great flavor, their fries are good too but we like the other sides . The service is always good. Michelle's our usual server. When she sees us walk in she has our drinks ready as soon as we sit down. They have a few TV's but they are in the middle of renovation. They re did the booths and they are going to put in a wall of TV's so people can watch all the different sports. We think it's the best barbecue around. They do a big carry out. business. They have full bar service. I always forget to take pictures. Once upon a time, this establishment used to be one of the best places to order ribs or cater, but they must've had to go under new management or something because I went there the other day and I couldn't even finish a half rack of ribs. I am extremely upset with today's service and food. My parents in law advertised the place up and down to me and offered to go have dinner here while I'm visiting with my son. They had no idea that this was as under new ownership (or what it seems like from other reviews). We got to the table and they ordered drinks, Brunswick stew and a rack of ribs with beans and Mac n cheese. I was still looking at the menu. About 15 min drinks and stew came to the table, u ordered catfish then and we spent next 10 minutes unsuccessfully trying to get waitresses attention to get another spoon. Finally got the spoon when catfish was delivered. We asked for the lemon and never got it. At this point we were waiting for ribs (that were ordered first ) for 46 minutes .. so as a waitress passed by to take a new order (at this point all the people around us ate and left) we asked for lemon one more time and asked what happened to our ribs. She said they had "a lot of confusion at the kitchen" and a lot of confusion with take out orders. A different person came and delivered ribs - it wasn't our order. It was half rack, with wrong sides.. after I said that the guy delivering food just like our waitress in the same tone kept saying that "it's okay" I'm seriously confused with what exactly okay about waiting for your food for so long and not received the right food. So I had to get up and go to the bar where I saw the manager (what it looks like) and told them the food was wrong and they came to take it back. She then came to our table to ask us what did we order which at that point got very frustrating .. I explained one more time what the order was and asked for a lemon AGAIN. They finally brought the correct food... the ribs were clearly just added to the previous plate so it was two half racks that were barely warm and extremely tasteless .... Corn bread wasn't fresh either. My father in law never got his second beer he ordered either. Yes while they took ribs of our check, as a business over myself I am extremely disappointed how awful customer service was and how nonchalant all three people acted and talked to us like it's not a big deal to wait an hour for your order that was wrong In addition to all the things we had to ask for multiple times (including proper silverware... ). I ordered (through GrubHub) the "Dean's Way Burger" (no onions) and fries, with a side of Corn Fritters. The burger was huge! I dont know what that sauce was, but it gave the burger a nice little touch of heat without overpowering the meat taste of the burger and bacon. I love getting burgers from BBQ places for the extra flavor, and this one was perfect in that regard! Now the fritters...I've had corn fritters from a chain "bbq founded in 1968" place, and those are tiny sad things...not these! Park Ave has these large hush-puppy sized fritters that are more like giant corn donut-holes. They sent them with honey, smuckers syrup and a very generous portion of powdered sugar. They were an unintened dessert...I thought they'd be more savory, but since I didnt order a dessert it was a happy accident. I would definitely order again, and try some of their actual BBQ items! read more

OMG! I just ordered rib and wing combo to go. Stupid me didn't look at the order before I left. They put buffalo sauce on the wings to ensure they were really soggy by the time I got home. And then to add insult to injury they poured the sauce all over my ribs! I called and Derrick the manager says that's the way they do things. So pouring buffalo sauce on you bbq ribs is acceptable to him. He did offer to reimburse me but I'm so irate right now I'll never eat there again. We have been ordering from the Stuart location for years - both dine in and carry out. It had originally been recommended and it has become a staple. We enjoy Monday as it is their rack of ribs reduced price special. Once in a great while the ribs can be a bit dry but for the most part we have been very happy with all of our meals from this location. The staff is friendly and the service has been good. We LOVE their BBQ sauces. Their French fries are average but a couple years ago we really liked them. Husband & mother in law really like their Mac & cheese and corn bread. They do a good burger as well. I like substituting a small Caesar salad for the 2 sides that are offered with the full rack of ribs at no up-charge. read more

Let me start this off by saying I am not one to complain however i was very upset with my experience here yesterday. Yesterday I had a family dinner there and was sorely disappointed in the quality of food. The service was amazing however for being the only table in there are food took a while to come out. The brisket sandwich was lacking flavor and the Zac-N-Cheese sandwich has bacon on it and tasted very heavily of chemicals! I had everyone else take a piece of the bacon and we all spit it out and agreed it tasted like chemicals. Next someone ordered a salad which was unwashed and tasted like dirt.
