$17 Pulled Pork Sandwich Combo

Customer service was awful, guy was not friendly whatsoever. $17 for a sandwhich, Mac and cheese and a drink. Crazy overpriced! Music was loud and needed to yell at some points to talk to my peer. Not many drink options. Food was okay.

Nobody Here

Honestly would rate this experience a 2, and I probably should, but my love for this place makes it a 3. I placed a pickup order for 1:45pm. Now for most people that means the food is going to be ready for pickup at 1:45, packaged and ready to go. Even Google says the same thing, but anyways. I show up at 1:42. The employee comes to the window (drive-thru) and asks for my name then walks aways. They then come back to tell me that my order is for 1:45, and that I can either wait in the car or sit inside while they prepare it. It's currently, 1:45, so I go inside. The place is empty, the entire time I'm in there, aside from one person that walked in and picked up their order and left. After 12 minutes I sat back down into my car at 1:57pm. So I spent 15 minutes there when it should've been at max 5 - FOR A PRE-PLANNED PICK UP TIME. Okay, now the service. I'm not sure if the employee got something going on outside of work, but yea if they were my employee I'd fire them. There's no reason to have attitude, or a slight temper. I didn't do anything and my food definitely didn't do anything. So 15 minutes there, and a 13 minute drive home. Me and my girlfriend got - Loaded baked potato (everything on it), Smoke Stack (pork and Mac), pulled pork, fries, & a side of Mac. No sour cream on the potato, fries were cold and soggy, and the standalone pulled pork was cold (thank god for my air fryer). Will I be back, probably, just hopefully when this employee is at home.

SO SO DRY! Not Texas Toast

Following up, it's been 2 months and I still haven't received a reply from Dickeys. I can't stress enough how important it is to have decent service. Dickeys you received my email and phone number, but still no reply from Dickeys in Hilliard or the corporate office . I should have noticed people have had the same experience with poor quality food and the standard Dickeys " we're looking into it or thanks for telling us something we already know " I can't stress how important it is to support good business in your community and warn against the ones that don't deserve to have yours. You only get one time to make a first impression or one bite at the Apple, my bite was extremely dry pulled pork .

If this were the last place on planet earth I would rather starve than get the amount of food for a 100$ order!!! If you can't fulfill an order or you are too tired to make it. Than close early . You should be ashamed of yourselves even being open for business. Like I said DONT GO TO THIS PLACE FOR ANYTHING!!! Please do everyone a favor and shut your doors! I sure hope DoorDash will refund us because if not we need to call the Better Business Bureau you are a total disgrace!!! I only wish I could give it negative stars! Thanks for RUINING Fathers Day for us. Shame on you all! You should all be fired asap!!! And by the way Yelp isn't the only site I'll display my review. Google,Bing, Reddit etc... you get my drift?

2 meat plate: sliced brisket, jalapeño cheddar sausage, mac & chz, & green beans
Terrence M.

I ordered the 2 meat plate. Jalapeño cheddar sausage with sliced brisket. Green beans and mac & chz. Pros: meats were good. Cons: the sides were dry. No fries at this location, the roll was hard and Brisket wasnt sliced like I asked. They didnt have any onions to go with the pickles. It was like they were closing up shop early although they had an hour until close. There were no tops on the food. I guess I should of known that the sides would have been dry.

Pork Ribs

I Pre ordered a delivery for 12:00pm which is the earliest you can order since they don't open until 11:00am. I Ordered a full slab of pork ribs requested it to be left whole with sauce on the side and the 3 meats with 2 sides this includes Texas toast. We selected sliced brisket, ribs, and jalapeño kielbasa sausage. Our delivery order arrived before the estimated time which was nice all utensils were delivered no items were missing! However the reason for my 1 star is because this was our very first time trying Dickeys Barbecue pit and we had high hopes. The ribs were dry and tasted as if they'd been sitting out for at least a whole day! Nothing about them were succulent, juicy or even had that grilled flavor or taste they just tasted old :(... the brisket came chopped even though we selected it be sliced and it was overly salted ;(... the jalapeño kielbasa was actually pretty tasty. For the sides we got the green beans with bacon but it was missing bacon and the baked potato casserole which was my personal favorite. This was overall an absolute disappointment :(.

My go to place I always go here for my birthday and it's always the best barbecue in hilliard. One thing that I dislIke is that their hours maybe need to be changed but there is nothing wrong about their food.

The cashier/cook greeted us as soon as we walked through the door. Even though it is fast food, he checked on us a couple of times! Keep in mind, as other reviews have stated, it is set up for more of a takeout, as there are only two small high tops and no bathrooms. In the warmer months, there are two picnic tables right outside the door. My husband got the smoked turkey (nicely smoked with good bark and moist), mac & cheese (good cheese pull and not runny), pudding. I had the smoked chicken quarter leg (nicely smoked, moist, and covered with their signature sauce), collard greens (not at all spicy but good flavor), and bourbon peach cobbler. Both came with a choice of bread, and we chose corn bread. Nice and moist with a touch of sweetness. I usually drink water with my meals, but they had Jones ' sodas, and I always wanted to try one. The nice young man told me how much he liked the cream soda, so I gave it a try. It tasted so different (we think because they use cane sugar as their only sweetener) than say A&W's version. I really enjoyed it. We also wanted to try another side, so we ordered corn pudding. We were so impressed with everything, we took a to-go menu to look it over. The cashier/cook told us they have frequent specials and a loyalty program. Since we don't have a close fast fook BBQ place near us, I can see us coming here at least once a month! I am sorry I forgot to get pictures.

While visiting Hilliard from Texas for work, I wanted to experience how other states do barbecue,…read moreso I decided to try Smoke Licked Barbecue. First impressions were great. The restaurant was very clean, and the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. They even allowed me to sample a few items before ordering, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, I arrived just before 5 PM and they were already out of ribs, which was disappointing. I ordered the brisket, pulled pork tacos, street corn, and coleslaw. The brisket was very tender and moist, but I felt it could have used a little more seasoning. The pulled pork tacos had excellent texture and were enjoyable to eat, but the flavor was mild enough that, if I'd closed my eyes, I'm not sure I would have identified it as pulled pork. The coleslaw was also a bit lackluster for my taste and could have benefited from more seasoning. The standout side for me was the smoked street corn, which was flavorful and easily one my favorite parts of the meal. Overall, the service and cleanliness were excellent, and the food quality was solid. I just personally prefer a bolder, more seasoned barbecue flavor profile.

It was a good bit north of "well done." I asked for no pickle and got pickle. I really don't like the taste of pickle, but was not going to ask for a new burger just because it has some pickle juice on it. The bun was nicely grilled. I was not sure whether to get sweet potatoes fries or regular fries and the cashier offered a mix. I liked that and both types of fries were very good -- served hot and seemed like they were cooked in fresh and clean oil. The regular fries had just a touch of breading or batter, I think. The fries were the best part of my meal. No fountain soft drinks and just a soda in a can for $2. That's definitely a point against them. The store was extremely clean and it looks like they had good desserts. They have egg for their burgers which is a plus for me. They bill themselves as halal-friendly, that's good. Lots of vegetarian choices on the menu.

It's inside the AmVets building on west broad street. Don't need to be a member as long as you're coming in to eat. The prices are pretty good on the food. The prices are amazing from the bar since it's AmVets. The server was actually the wife of the owner, Tammy, so that was a nice treat. She gave us the low down on the place and all the unique sauces they have. All made in house. Great info. Great service. The wings are a nice size. Comparable to Roosters and that's sayin something because Roosters wings are bigger than any I've ever had. We got fries and onion rings to start. Both yummy. Another patio told is to get the wizard sauce. Apparently it's a wing sauce but he said it's best on the sides. It was delicious on the onion rings. The sauce list is very unique and very diverse. I went with a classic, garlic parm. It was good. I've always wanted to try Alabama White. It was very tasty. If you like the horseradish flavor. Our friend got the scorpion wings and the kit him on fire. He got sample taster of the hottest one that's not even on the menu. It was Major Pain. He said he tasted awful but wow was it hot lol. It was super thick like a tomato paste. Other friend got honey smacks. It was pretty good. Not super hot but had a tingle for sure. The mean mug was pretty tasty. My husband got the hot honey and said it wasn't really very hot. Asian sticky. That one was good. Not hot. The ranch was weird. Pretty sure it was a dill dip lol. Tastes and looks like the dill dip I make for veggies. We would definitely go back. Only reason I did 3 starts was cuz my husband didn't find a sauce he likes so we will just have to try more next time!

Listen. This was a struggle in several ways. But worth it…read more I kept hearing great things about this, and I had some free time on a Wednesday, which is dollar wing day. Random lane closures on Broad made it a pain to get there. It is surrounded by rundown strip malls, and the access and parking are pretty bumpy. It's hard to get in: there are locked doors with buzzers, and it is not real clear which door you should use. There is a pickup door, very clearly marked, but the regular entrance is just a little portico, the entrance to the vets, so press one of the buzzers. Inside, it's a standard veterans hall. Dark, bar the main attraction, with tables, pool tables too, quiet in the afternoon. The wings part was pretty busy, with dine in and carry out customers. And I knew that, and I knew wings take a while, so I was prepared to wait. Service was excellent, friendly, helpful, from several people during my stay. And the food was excellent. I was going to get onion rings, but they said on Wednesdays they don't have room in the fryer for those. I was a little disappointed because I figured they probably have great onion rings. Oh well. So I got the pretzel bites. A fairly small order for seven dollars, but the best pretzel bites I've ever had, I think because they were deep-fried. (They're smaller than onion rings.) Hot and crispy on the outside, tender inside, with a good honey mustard sauce. You can also get ranch I think. And since wings were a dollar I wanted to get a bunch but I wasn't super hungry, so I got six. Regular wings, with the Alabama white sauce. Perfectly cooked, big, meaty, juicy wings, crispy on the outside, covered with sauce but not smothered. The sauce was a little smooth and creamy with a little heat from the horseradish, call it medium. Very good. Went well with the wings. The wings even plain would've been excellent. And they have dozens of sauces, a bunch of which I would like to try. Check their Facebook to make sure they're open. The last few months they have had some issues, which seem to be sorted out mostly. Allow yourself some time. Come on Wednesday and get as many wings as you can eat. Mm-mm.
