    Pakistani chicken

Everything was stellar about this place. I went to get takeout and the Moroccan owner who greeted me when I arrived at the restaurant was super nice and welcoming. He told another customer "I want you to have the best customer experience" and he even showed me his clay oven where they bake their naan (see picture). He even asked he where I was from and talked about what made each of their dishes great. It is clear that he and his co-owner (the Pakistaani chef) are proud of their restaurant and their food. He promised that the food would be delicious and in describing each item, he set the bar quite high for me! Driving home was torture as the aromas of the food were so tempting. But then when we finally dug into the meal, we were blown away. Everything we ordered was great; the palak paneer, the Pakistani whole chicken (great deal and takes 45 minutes to make), the baba ghanoush. I would highlight the daal lentil which was freshly made and a bit spicy and full of flavor which we loved. The naan is generous in serving and airy. And for me the best thing was the lamb tagine. I had an awesome tagine years ago in France at a Moroccan restaurant that was so tender, the meat just melted in my mouth. This dish came close to that memory, with a generous serving of dates covered in sesame, complementing the flavor of the lamb. It will be hard for me not to get this dish every time. I cannot recommend this restaurant more. This has been one of the best meals I've had here in Columbus in the last few months. Between the friendly staff and the excellent food, it is definitely worth a try.

This place has seen multiple management changes but good thing is the cooking staff is same and thus the food. Its a pakistani restaurent with some of the mediterranean dishes as well on menu. There chicken kebab is must have. Chicken curry and chicken tikka masala is also good and is different from Indian style chicken tikka masala which is full of cream. Don't be scared of oil on top of curries. Its the way they cook and is easy to relive from top. still better than food full of cream. Garlic naan is to die for. Highly recommend for kebabs and Adil is person who makes them.

    Lamb Couscous

We ordered the Chicken Biryani and the Lamb Couscous. Both dishes were large on the portion size. I don't know much about Moroccan Food but the Lamb Couscous wasn't what I expected, the dish was good and the Lamb was tender but I imagined more Couscous. The vegetables that came with the Lamb were very good and large cut, not much of a large veggie guy. The Chicken Biryani was delicious! I think it is one of the more popular dishes as I heard a few orders of it over the phone as I waited 10-12 min for my food to be made. Most of their Moroccan food is available on the weekend instead of the week days which is when we ordered. Will order again but maybe Google a few other dishes as to become more familiar with the food.

Really good and very spicy! Good heat and flavor at the same time.

Really good food. You can hear them slapping the Naan dough around in the back and 2 minutes later you have hot freshly baked Naan. Their dishes are well spiced, hot but balanced with a lot of flavor. Definitely check this place out!

Great place with some unique offerings as well as some standard middle eastern fare, very reasonable and delicious! The family that owns it is very friendly and attentive. I got the fattoush salad and the tandoori reshmi bbq tikka, which were both fresh and very well seasoned. The chicken was well cooked but was served a la cart so I'm glad I got the fattoush. My husband got the Nehari Beef, which was a unique and delicious stew, spicy but great for a cold autumn day. It had a sizeable serving of beef, which paired perfectly with naan, which was also huge and fluffy. I should have taken pictures but we are the food so fast! We will definitely be back to try their weekend Moroccan specialties!

Peshwari kabob meat patty, tandoor cooked naan, hummus, and sauce. Best lunch in quite some time!

First, I emphasized on not delivering the order before 5 pm, they ignored that and delivered as they wanted, and they didn't add a name or apartment number on the order, as a result uber driver left it in unknown location. I kept calling the second day because I thought it was not delivered, and they told me it was delivered yesterday and I never received any notification, message about that delivery. They said it's not their responsibility what happened to the order after uber driver took it. They were very rude and careless about big order with this amount. As usual because they took their money they don't care. It was frozen items so it should be delivered to a person, not to be left anywhere. Until this moment I didn't find the order. Not only you would get top quality meat and fish, but some great homemade meals on weekends as well! The menu changes every week, but the Halwa Poori is constant! I have been wanting to come here for a long time, and finally before leaving Columbus, I came to try it! I am so glad I did, but also cursing myself for not doing it earlier! Humongous pooris (that were so similar to Bangali luchis), two types of sabzis (potato and chickpea), along with a bowlful of Sooji Halwa oozing the aroma of ghee into the air - this breakfast was all I needed to fix my bad day. What I really loved that the food has a very desi feel to it. You know, those many many street joints in the alleys of South Asia, where you would order an item, but the sabzis are included in it, and chai is free, the breakfast was just like that. I am definitely going to come back here again, not just for my meat and fish supplies, but also to taste other meals prepared by the chef who invited me to come back for his Biryani!

So it only seemed natural that I'd fall in love with Food Street, but I was worried that my expectations would exceed the reality. So instead of going in... I decided to order delivery through good ole Door Dash - expecting a sad, slightly cold, non crispy shadow what you'd get in person but let me tell yas.... this was not the case at all! Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich was phenomenal! It was wicked crispy, the size of my head (quick makes this a HUGE value... not that my head is that big, but order it to get an idea), bun was not soggy at all, and it did not disappoint. Chicken was perfectly cooked, juicy, not chewy at all, and seasoned well. Coleslaw added a nice vinegar contrast (I wish there was much more coleslaw but it didn't stop me!), sauce was smokey and slightly spicy, and the bun was soft. Chicken Tikka Paratha Roll was also a hit! Great seasoning, chicken was incredibly well cooked - melt in your mouth style - with small bits of char - vegetables were fresh, and the roll itself had great chew and flavor w/out being greasy (at all) or saturated. Fries were bangers too. Ready to eat my way through the menu. If it's this good when ordered, can't image what'd it be in house.

The falooda was the worst - it was just ice cream, milk, and a sparse amount of basil seed. The price point, including the sneaky service charge, does not justify a return trip.

The main Tandoori Grill location is up on Bethel Rd. This Pakistani restaurant is one of my favorites in town. So I was excited to hear that they were opening a pop-up location downtown on Capitol Square. And more than a little confused. Their announcement made it sound like they were opening in a convenice store. That couldn't be right. Could it? Yep. It is. When you walk in, they have a couple of chafing trays set up with the day's offerings. According to the friendly folks working at the store, some of the menu will vary from day to day while other dishes will be offered regularly. When I was there they had chicken tikka masala, chickpeas, grilled chicken, and ground chicken that was formed into long patties and then grilled. They're served with/over rice. Also on the menu were chicken samosa and salad. The chicken tikka masala and samosas were both delicious. I didn't give the final fifth star however because they weren't as good as when you get them from the full restaurant on Bethel. Which makes sense in light of the fact that they were cooked earlier in the day and being kept warm. So in summary, a great downtown lunch time addition. And if you do like it, visit the full service location. It's even better.

I went as soon as I could, and honestly, so should you! If you love Tandoori Grill on Bethel or haven't been there because it's too far away, this is the perfect opportunity to try its food during the lunch hour. Ideally, this would be a 3.5 star review, but I'm rounding it up because of the convenience factor. During my visit, I tried the samosa, chickpea curry, rice, and chicken seekh kebab. The seekh kebab was the star; perfectly spiced and amazingly tender. I've had so many disappointingly dry seekh kebabs, but this was was pure perfection. Next time, I'm just getting this with rice. The chickpeas and rice were good too. Loved the samosa, though it could be a tad less oily. But, heck, I chose to have fried food. My meal also came with a side salad with an Italian vinaigrette (odd choice). The salad is typically also served in the brick and mortar location and serves as a nice palate cleanser there. But since the operation in the convenience store is takeout only, getting a dressed salad, which is limp by the time I eat it, doesn't quite make sense to me. My meal cost $12, and I would've gladly paid a little less to forego the salad. Overall, a nice addition to the downtown lunch scene, which sadly lacks good Indian food. (Don't get me started on Indian Oven. Just no.) DISCLAIMER: copied over from my initial review for G&Z stores; this business was not yet added.
