Very disappointed. Very confused by all the reviews. I ordered DoorDash and I couldn't see myself ordering again. I ordered the Butter Chicken, curry chicken, saag paneer and some naan. First the naan was more like a cracker than soft naan. Very overcooked or very stale. The saag paneer was just ok. The Butter chicken wasn't creamy. And the curry was just ok. The flavors were lacking, but the biggest most surprising thing was the super tiny portions. I couldn't believe it. This was expensive compared to other places and these are the smallest portions I've encountered in a long time. Not a good value for the money! read more

We patronize a lot of Indian restaurants in Columbus. Gave Tikka N Kabab a try for the first time last night. The storefront smelled of warm spices and the man behind the counter was so kind- I wish we liked the food better. The mango lassi was sweeter than others I've had, with more emphasis on the sugar than the mango flavor. We got a samosa appetizer and asked for one mint chutney and one tamarind chutney. We only ended up with the mint, which is fine...but it was so overpowering- it tasted like straight up horseradish. I couldn't eat it. We also had a butter chicken with a side of garlic naan. The naan and rice were good, but the butter chicken tasted like Mac and cheese (??). Never had a butter chicken like it before. I want to like this place and I want to support a local business, but it will be a while before I try it out again. I spent $32 with tip for a pretty lackluster meal. read more

That's what I discovered tonight in this simply wonderful Indo-Chinese restaurant run by a friendly Bengali family. Walk in and order your meal at the counter. You've got all the standard Chinese app and entree choices, along with plenty of veg and meat Indian options. Added plus is that the food is all Hallal, and made to order. You'll wait a bit, but it's DEFINITELY worth it... My veg korma with veg samosa and garlic Naan was CRAZY good, and very reasonably priced. Ordered via UberEats and was more than satisfied. Great portion size per entree. The app had buy one get one veggie samosas. Samosas were good. I had the chicken TKA extra spicy. This restaurant was great to order from, especially because my parents only eat halal meals. The place offers a huge variety of food, because they offer both Indian/Bangladeshi (Desi) food options as well as a full Chinese menu. I was able to order through Postmates directly from their website. I was able to get updates through text on my phone on my order readiness. Online it said my order would be ready in 30 minutes, but when my order went through it sent me a text from Postmates saying it would take one hour. This allowed me to get there on time and not get there early. I ordered from the Chinese menu this time. The chicken egg rolls tasted just like any other Chinese restaurant. My favorite were the honey chicken and Mongolian beef. We got all the entrees with fried rice. The Schezuan chicken was not something I'm used to from other places. I thought the General Tso's chicken was overly sweet. The chicken on a stick, I was expecting to be savory more like chicken satay, but it was chicken and veggie pieces on a stick with a sweet tasting sauce brushed on them. The food portions are all big and we had left overs for the next day, even though we had five people eating. I think some things could be tweaked in their taste to make the Chinese menu taste more like authentic Chinese restaurant food. I am looking forward to trying their Desi menu, as the restaurant has Bangladeshi owners and perhaps the Desi food would be authentic. read more

The few times we have eaten here the food has been really good. Only had the egg rolls once, and it had an odd flavor. Maybe the old needed changed, or that's just how they taste. I'd try them again to give them a shot. The woman behind the counter is super friendly. The last two times we've ordered take out for two, the food took longer than the 25 minute time quoted online. The first time, it was only 10 maybe 15 minutes. Last time, it was 25 minutes for our order, and I requested water chestnuts that were forgotten. Not a huge deal by any means, but the first time they added them they were a great addition to the dish. It wasn't a huge deal to wait, but I anticipated it from the other time and showed up 10 minutes late, and still had to wait 15 more minutes. I'd rather just get hit with a 50 minute wait time from the order. Ambiance is nothing to rave about, but nothing horrible either. The food is good enough to where none of these things will stop me from eating some great food. I just wish I discovered this 4 years ago when I moved to the area, not a few months ago. Definitely give them a shot or two, and I think you'll really enjoy their food. My wife loves the sesame chicken, and I think I'm getting the butter chicken next time. read more

My husband and I are always on the look out for halal food and we came across this place. It did not disappoint. We ordered spring rolls and the Thai soup for appetisers. The Thai soup was just like the Thai soup from back home in Bangladesh. For entrees we ordered the chilli chicken and Mongolian beef. Both dishes were really good. Presentation was nice as well. The portion sizes were good too. We both packed ours in to go boxes to enjoy later. It's a hole in the wall type restaurant and those are usually the best ones. Billed as a black-owned "Halal Chinese & Indian/Bangladeshi Restaurant" that also serves pizza, we knew we had to try this place. With all of that greatness wrapped into a one, it couldn't be anything but great - and no surprise, it's amazing. I've tried a few different dishes here and they're all solid. We've ordered orange chicken and fried rice, with a side of samosas and naan. I've gotten tikka masala with an egg roll and crab rangoon. The quality has been spot on. Recently we ordered from Tikka n Kabab, a local restaurant we found during COVID and have visited a couple times. This restaurant serves halal Chinese and Indian cuisine. We tried a couple new dishes, chicken tikka masala and chicken curry and a previous favorite, vegetable fried rice. Just like our last visit everything was piping hot, had wonderful flavors and the portions were so big we had enough leftovers for a second meal. Husband and I were traveling from out of town and stopped in for a bite. The owners were so kind, and the food was wonderful. Highly recommend the beef kabobs. The mint chutney they are served with tastes amazing. The kabob was seasoned and tender. It had a slightly smokey flavor-- perfection!! We also had the lobster bisque and were very impressed with the flavor. I ordered the chicken Tikka masala. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. The sauce for the chicken Tikka was tasty and hit the spot. Hubby also ordered 2 egg rolls, and they came out piping hot and fresh! This is a quaint restaurant hidden in a large shopping complex. It serves a variety of Chinese and south Asian foods. Here is my breakdown: Flavor: 4/5. We've tried about 7-8 dishes now and they all taste pretty fantastic. The only thing we didn't like was the rice that comes with the food. Other than that, every single main entree is delicious. I would highly recommend the sesame beef and the chicken sticks. So so good. Portion size: 5/5. They are so generous with their portion sizes. The large dinner size is enough for two meals. Price: 5/5. They are incredibly reasonably priced, especially for the large portion sizes. Customer service: 5/5. These people are so kind and down to earth. They really care about their customers and are genuinely true to their work. Very disappointing. Ordered carryout via the website, showed up at the designated time 30 minutes later but the order wasn't yet started. Luckily it didn't take very long to prepare because they simply heated up the Lo Mein dish in the microwave ("ding!") The samosas were ok, but not really worth the wait. I didn't eat most of the order because the re-heated shrimp in the Lo Mein was old and rubbery. Would not recommend until they take their craft seriously. This is a place you have to check out when you're in Ohio! Their full menu is halal which is hard to find for Chinese food so it was a must to try! Came here with the entire family an hour before closing time but they were so accommodating! Not only was their food so fresh, it was full of flavor and so yummy! If you're looking for take-out Chinese food, I recommend Golden China Express or Grand China. I was disappointed with my order from Tikka n Kabab. Another Yelper mentioned it, but the wonton soup does not look (or taste) like the sort you'd expect from Chinese takeaway. It was a thick, opaque base with peas and carrots. The wontons were okay, but it just wasn't what I expected or wanted. The egg rolls, while crispy, were extraordinarily salty. The portion size of the General Tso chicken was very large, enough for two. But I found it had an unpleasant, spongy texture and tasted like old fryer oil. Then he picked up a few grains of rice from counter after they missed the to-go container. He noticed at that point I was watching.. he then put on ONE disposable glove for handling the remainder of our order. We were both sick the next day, with my spouse being worse off for over half of the next day. Based on past experiences, they probably use a lot of MSG. my mom met the chef at meijer today and we decided to give them a try for dinner! we ordered take out online. the lady who helped me was super nice and helpful! the reason i'm giving 4 stars and not 5 is because my sesame chicken is tough. like the batter not the meat. other than that my entree was very tasty! we also got crab rangoon and that was also very good :) definitely give Tikka n Kabob a try! support local. i also want to add that their food is halal! we do not practice islam but i haven't seen many places who cater to everyone read more

I love this place! I only had 30 mins for lunch and DoorDash said my wait time would be almost 45 minutes for pickup so I called to place an order. The woman was very accommodating and they had my order ready minutes after I got there! She was very sweet. I got the chicken tikka masala, rice, and naan and the food is delicious.
