The Columbus area definitely needs more places like Legacy Smokehouse. We've passed this place likely hundreds of times, but never stopped in to dine until recently. And I am so glad we did! The service was great, but the food was even better. Being first time patrons, the sampler was recommended for us to try. It consisted of pulled pork, smoked sausage, brisket, and the self proclaimed 'best smoked turkey' in Columbus. I can neither confirm nor deny that claim, even though it was really good. My only negatives are not even really negatives, but they were out of ribs, both the beef and pork. That's really why we decided to visit in the first place, so that was a bummer. Second, after ordering, the food came out very fast, almost too fast because the food wasn't as hot as it could've been, which I feel effected the flavor some. But again, minor issues. Overall, Legacy Smokehouse is an excellent choice for BBQ. We will definitely be visiting again, and I recommend you give them a try as well.

Tried the chopped chicken on this visit and it was really good. Mixed the vinegar and mustard sauce, perfection! The mac and cheese also had good flavor and the food is always ready quickly.

Legacy is such a vibe, Great bourbon drinks, seating, and a rooftop patio! The food is separate from the bar area, it's on the first floor. The bar has a great selection of bourbons. If you're not a bourbon drinker, prolly not the place for you, they have a few beers but not alot of other options. The service is great and food came out quick. Would love to go back again!

They have pretty good BBQ! At first I wasn't sure what sauce is good for me and later after forced myself to try all the sauce (usually I will never try anything lol) I found out that I like OG&mustard mix together! The meat and the sauce together were very yummy! I always eat bbq with fork and knife and the meat was very soft and fell easily. I wish my meat was warmer and juicer. They also have bourbon bar on the second floor, so cool! Would be a place I think of for the bbq next time!

We went to legacy for drinks and apps on a Friday night. The bourbon bar upstairs was awesome! They had so many things to choose from. The mac and cheese was so Smokey too! Loved it all! The lemonade vodka slush is was also yummy too!! Would love to come back to try more food.

Great local BBQ and amazing bourbon bar upstairs. The BBQ is out of this world and the bourbon bar has quite a selection. Some you will not ding any more in Ohio. Very dedicated staff and exceptional pit boss who takes great care in his craft. Nice indoor seating, patio, and a rooftop patio. Stop in...you will not be disappointed.

Had a craving for bbq yesterday so we decided to try Legacy and I'm SO glad we did! The pulled pork was amazing and the brisket was very tender...and I'm still thinking about the street corn side! Yum! Great food and awesome service with a smile!

Found a great Texas brisket right here in Columbus! This place is good and very much worth it if you live anywhere close to Old Hilliard.

Great flavor, tender meats! Ribs are great even without sauce from the rub they use. Beans are a must.

I opted for the Por que no el Puerco on the cashier-recommended pretzel bun. The flavors and the layers were sensational. A great bite without being too heavy or too greasy. The pretzel bun was also a great choice - some salt but not trying to actively dehydrate you with every bite. The Bear bottled latte was also quite good. It was a very unique flavor profile with obviously lots of banana but it took a little getting used to being mixed with the bitterness of the coffee and some of the nuttiness of the hazelnut and oat milk. I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to get it again, but with the limited coffee options here, I wouldn't not get it either. Overall, a really solid place to stop. Not necessarily the best place to go if you're looking for breakfast AND coffee, but certainly a great local joint to check out!

The Roger Roger had: capicola, pepperoni, smoked cheddar, lettuce, tomato, spicy mustard, giardiniera. It wasn't heavy (I ate half) and the bread wasn't that dense. In fact, the bread kinda sold me on the sandwich. It tasted fresh...much better than what you get at any of the usual chains. And the cookies were absolute perfection! Crunchy on the outside but soft inside. Wow! And they're kinda large. I ate half of one and saved the rest. I don't eat sandwiches often but this has got to be one of my favorites in the city. I remember it clearly as I was a newbie to Central Ohio and they sold Cheerwine* in bottles. From there, I've caught them at a handful of small festivals, at Platform, and at Pins Mechanical when they parked there for a while. I've had the por'ketta sandwich, the potato salad, and the pork sundae. I could have reviewed these guys quite a while ago but I guess I was waiting for a certain dish to push me over the 'review this now' ledge. Well, I had that dish this weekend at Platform. (Where these guys are parked on Saturdays.) I had the breakfast sandwich. The bread, same that is used for the other sandwiches, was beautiful. On the sandwich were roasted red peppers, that had been peeled! I really dislike fire roasted things that haven't been peeled (i.e. tomatoes, peppers) so when I saw that the ones on the sandwich were peeled I was stoked! It shouldn't be a secret, I freakin' LOVE mayo and mayo based things (Duke's mayo forever). But, MAN the aioli used on this sandwich was on point. The thyme in it took it over the top! The bacon was great and complimented the other ingredients well. The only thing I wasn't too keen on, at first, were the scrambled eggs on the sandwich. It looked (and smelled) a bit overcooked on one side of the sandwich. However, after a few bites into the sandwich, my dislike of the scrambled eggs changed when I realized that they had crisped the cheese to the bottom side of the eggs. I love crispy, toasted cheese! With the sandwich came a side of griddled potatoes. These guys are likely the same potatoes that get crafted into potato salad. There's a vinegar backing that reminded me of the potato salad. They complimented the sandwich oh so we'll. The gentleman that was working even brought out our dog some chicken! Our dog loved it of course and wants to already know when we can go back for brunch at Platform. Por'ketta serves the breakfasty side of their menu till 2 when they switch to lunch. As a note I had my wife order the sandwich as it comes; these guys would surely honor egg style requests. Next time I get the breakfast sandwich, I will ask for an egg with a soft yoke- as that would have made this sandwich untouchable by any other food truck (and likely restaurant) breakfast sandwich. ----- *Cheerwine is a North Carolina based cherry soda.
