A bit torn here. The food looks and tastes great and fresh. The service, 2 young men, was great. The price is a reach! Maybe I selected the wrong item but I was really in the mood for a wrap. Went with the buffalo chicken. As mentioned the service was great, as my first time being at DICED, the young man walked me through options. When I omitted tomato's he asked if I would like to sub something else in (went with cucumber) which I thought was pretty cool. By no means was it a large wrap. It did taste good but without getting a side or drink paying $12 for a cold wrap is excessive and they do that thing where they throw the tip in your face at check out (again fine but not for a $12 cold wrap that took 3 min to make). This place was great! At first I was overwhelmed by how many options they have but they do a great job of making it user friendly. The food was amazing and fresh. The portion size was great. I got the daisy duke spinach wrap with chipotle ranch and was so pleased. It's a little heavy on the onions so I might do light onions next time but still very good. Be prepared to drop at least $10 for a salad though. This location is in a great area of town close to Cameron Village and Wade Avenue. It's surrounded by other healthy and trending businesses such as Indigo hot yoga, Gigi's cupcakes, and Zoe's kitchen. Parking is pretty simple with the added parking deck. The staff here were really friendly and I liked that they answered all of our questions. I ordered the green goddess salad, which was pretty decent, however VERY salty. I'll opt to take off the olives and peppers next time. There's an upcharge for added meats or avocado as well, so just be aware. Overall great spot for a healthy, quick meal. read more

I really like this concept. Interesting salad combinations on the menu and of course you can always build your own. Love the option to have a salad, rice bowl, or wrap. I chose the shrimp caesar for my first visit today. You can add extra ingredients that are not already a part of their build (like veggies, cheese, etc) for .75 cents. The salad was okay .. I wasn't loving their caesar dressing. Customer service was a big plus; I was asked if I needed help with the menu and afterwards if I enjoyed my meal. When we first walked in, the scent of bleach met us at the door- not sure if that's a good or a bad thing, but we stayed anyway. I ordered the southwest crunch salad with chicken. I was pretty excited about trying it, but when i got it, I was not pleased with the salad. It was literally chopped to death and overly dressed to the point to where it no longer tasted like a salad. I enjoyed Diced. It's a good concept with a wide array of options. With that being said, it is rather on the pricey side of things. Essentially you go down the line, think chipotle, and they put everything into a bowl and they dice it up for you so everything is mixed together. You then can add dressing or sauces etc. I opted for a spinach wrap with chicken, turkey, carrots, peppers, onions, hard boiled egg and romaine lettuce. I got a lemon pesto vinegarette which was very good. The wrap itself was very big and tasty. It left me full, although that may have been because of all the ingredients I chose to get in it. Just walking in the door is $4. Protein is about $2-$4 depending on what you get. Each topping is 75 cents after that. As you can see, it does get pricey. They have a list of signature wraps or salads that average around $10 each. Definitely a tasty option that you can absolutely make healthy. All fresh ingredients as well. I was really looking forward to trying out diced. I love salads and I thought the best part of this place is that it is all chopped up which makes it even easier to shovel into your mouth. However, I found the food to be overpriced and the salad somewhat bland. For starters, I created my own vegetable salad which includes 4 vegetables and added avocado. Of course avocado is an up-charge of around $1.25 and I was okay with this until I saw the lady put a sliver of avocado in my bowl, not even a half of an avocado. Next, she began adding the tiniest amount of my desired vegetables. In the end, I paid around $12 for a bowl full of romaine lettuce. This was a disappointing trip and I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for something more than lettuce. I will add though, that I have seen some reviews on here commenting about customer service. I found the employees to be cheerful and helping other customers. I've been looking for a salad place, and wanting to try Diced out for a few weeks. I finally popped in on Saturday to give it a try. I had the Harvest Crunch bowl which comes with toasted brussels sprouts, roasted beets, cucumbers, roasted chickpeas, sweet potato, mushrooms, broccoli & sunflower seeds with extra-virgin olive oil. I got my bowl with kale, and substituted dried cranberries for the beets and sliced almonds for the sunflower seeds. It was pretty good, but next time I'll probably make a few more substitutions so I can achieve the flavor I want. The portion size is really big. I was very hungry when I showed up, and still ended up eating only half of the salad for lunch, and eating the rest later on. So you definitely get a good bang for your buck. We ended up at diced a month ago when we realized the Zoe's next door abruptly closed as we pulled into the parking lot. We decided to try it. I was unsure of diced as i am gluten free and was unsure If they had GF options. They did! I'm a fan of DICED! I've been quite a few times over the last month or so. The food is fresh and there are a lot of options for any kind of diet. I absolutely love how the food is distributed and I think it's a wonderful concept with a bright future. There are two reasons I am not giving it 5 stars though. One being that in order to get a decent amount of food they upcharge you to oblivion. I know quality food comes at a price, but $14-$16 for a bowl of veggies (with no meat) is excessive (which is what I pay most every time I go). The other issue I have is a large majority of the employees (not all). Most of them just stare at you when you walk in. So if you've never been it's quite off putting. Simple training to let employees know to acknowledge customers when they come in and ask if they need help, or even saying hello can go a long way. read more
