I needed some appraisals done and called another popular jeweler in the area first. They were going to charge wayyyy more money, keep the jewelry, and take over a week to get the appraisals back. I found this jewelry store off FB (Temecula Talk). I was looking for a wedding band, and if they can mount it together with my wedding ring. The gentleman that helped us was the owner. He was a nice man, I can't complain about the customer service. I found my wedding band and he informed me for 30 dollars more they would mount it together to my wedding ring. Long story short it took them 3 days, I picked it up and tried it on. The band was not correctly mounted to my ring, it wasn't symmetrical at all. You can see the chunk of metal showing all around the parts where they tried to mount it together. What even upset me more was the lady who was there (owner wasn't there) made it seem like it wasn't a big deal. I was upset because it wasn't caught by the jewelry staff. I would think it's common sense to look very closely to the "finish product" and make sure it was done correctly before you just give it the first time customer. We spent over a thousand dollars for this band and to mount it together. She told me she needed the ring for ANOTHER 3 DAYS! I picked up my ring today, it was fixed but I would think they would be more sympathetic, offer me a discount on my next purchase or just show how sorry they are through there customer service but they didn't.I will never come here again!! Never! If a jewelry store doesn't show pride in there work than they are not worth your service. I thought I'd update my situation, since it's important to give credit for the compensation I received for how unhappy I was with my wedding ring/band. On the third attempt the owner made sure to have my band solder correctly to my wedding ring. It came out beautiful! I was extremely happy with the final work. I wish I didn't have to go through this, or write such a bad review, but this is my wedding ring! I had been planning to upgrade my wife's wedding ring for quite a while - using the center diamond in a new setting. My wife had a very specific design that she really liked. As a person who does quite a bit of research before buying an expensive or important item, I was sure to visit many jewelry stores either online, or in person. I finally decided to give Diamonds by Monet a chance to give us exactly what we wanted - and we were not disappointed. Joe did not have exactly what we were looking for when we visited, but I showed him some pictures, and he said he would email me with pictures of possible settings that he could get for us. Within 2 days, after extremely efficient communication, he said he was going to have a setting sent to his store. 4 days after our initial visit, we went to check out the new setting, with the promise that if my wife didn't love it, he would keep searching. It was PERFECT! Exactly what my wife was hoping for. They took the diamond from the old setting and put it in the new setting while we watched. We got a very fair price for both the new setting and trade in value for the old one. Joe has been great to work with. I hate waiting around for responses when I'm ready to make an important purchase, and I never had to with Joe. Either by phone or by email, I never had to wait long.
