My wife and I took her wedding ring to Alexander's Jewelers to be soldered after being referred there by another trusted jeweler. Because of the importance of the piece, we expected the work to be completed to a professional standard. When I picked up the ring, it was clear the soldering work was not done properly. The finish was rough and did not reflect quality craftsmanship. She returned to the store to address the issue directly. Explained her concerns and showed the problem areas. She was told the work looked "fine" and were offered a redo of the solder. At that point, she declined further work because we no longer had confidence that the issue would be corrected properly. She also sought a second opinion from another jeweler who advised against having it repaired there again. They also said we should get our money back since we weren't happy with the service. Alexander's only offered to redo even though I'd cost the same amount if not more to redo it. No refund no store credit. Would recommend taking your jewelry elsewhere. read more

Yesterday, I broke the prongs on my engagement ring and the center diamond fell out. I have had horrible experiences with other jewelers, so I was very trepidatious about who I was going to have repair it. I walked into Alexander Jewelers, which is a very nice jewelry store in the Promenade Mall since 1999. Raymond took a look at my ring, said they could fix it in an hour and a half, and quoted me a very fair price. Actually, I was pleasantly surprised on quote and time. I told him I was nervous about the outcome and he invited me to sit in his store and watch the jeweler repair my ring. Upon hearing that, I was no longer nervous and didn't need to sit and watch. There is also a window you can watch repairs being done while in the mall. Raymond repaired my ring, a gold earring, two gold chains, and replaced a watch battery under 2 hours. I had told him I was only at the mall to get my ring repaired, so that I wasn't just sitting at the mall, he rushed all of it. Very thoughtful and I did not expect that...his service went above and beyond! I took in a necklace that was broken due to time and wear and tear. It is very special to me as it was made by a director in Malibu and given to me by my brother in law. I tried to have it repaired by a jeweler in Lake Elsinore who destroyed the entire look of it since it is an infinity design. I actually started crying in their shop and demanded to fix what the did. A different man took it and tried to repair their error but it was never right and broke again. I went to Le Masters in Temecula and they couldn't fix it. Phenomenal Experience. Wife wanted her rings soldered and had stopped in one day to ask if they could do it. Wonderful Lady working told her to bring it in on certain days as turn around time is quicker. I showed up on a Wednesday right at 10am. They said my job would be second in line and would take a couple hours tops. They called me at 10:59 to let me know it was done. I had not even left the vicinity of the mall yet. I needed to resize and re-dip my wedding rings and was expecting to walk into a jewelry chain store at the mall and have them take my rings for 1-2 weeks to get it done. I didn't know what to expect since I had never had this done before. My main concern was the horror stories I have heard of rings getting lost in transit or diamonds being switched out with fake ones. I was paranoid. I started reading blogs about this and was recommended to go to a store with a jeweler onsite. I remembered walking past this store for many years with the little window and jeweler working on various items. I read some yelp reviews and got a good sense that this was a good store to walk into. Sure enough I was greeted quickly and warmly by a young woman. I told her that I needed to resize and redip my wedding rings. She sized my finger for the best fit and let me know that it could be done today and in about an hour and a half! Best part a flat $100! I was still nervous about leaving my rings since they are so precious and sentimental to me but I had nothing but good feelings about this establishment. I left my rings and walked around the mall, as planned, with my kids. They called and I picked up my GORGEOUS cleaned, freshly dipped in white gold, and perfect fitting wedding and engagement ring! It fit PERFECTLY! I felt like a newly engaged girl all over again because it had been 2 years since I was able to wear my engagement ring on my fat fingers . Came here last September to get my Michael M Engagement ring sized because I referred from a friend who has been doing business with them for years and I decided to come here and purchase a stone and sizing. So after I picked up my ring for sizing I noticed a chunk missing from the halo so I had to come back 3 times which was a hour drive for me and my fiancé and every time we came back they did not fix the chunk out of it and I didn't have time to keep coming back so then I took my ring back to Robbin brothers where I originally ordered my custom designer ring and they said that they voided my warranty on my ring because of the negligence of this Alexander's jewelers , not only did they ruin my ring they sized the ring with the wrong gold and also bubbled the bottom from putting it together ! So don't go here if you want your nice stuff ruined , I've called and emailed for months and no response on the emails . The band was 5600 alone and the experience they ruined is priceless .
