Last year my husband had to cut off my wedding ring. I am not sure if I got bit or ate something I am allergic to. We tried several ways to get it off but my swollen finger just got bigger and bigger. Once it was cut, I knew it would take me forever to find a place to fix it. I am very indecisive. Broke my Rolex bracelet links, they were folded links and he bent them and undone them to do quick work. Also completely destroyed the end links on my vintage oyster bracelet. He cost me over $1000 in repairs for a 13 dollar job. I was quoted 80ish dollars by professionals to remove the non removable link on my Rolex bracelet. I decided to see what his quote was, once he said 13$ I looked at him, he said he can do it in 10 mins. What he did in 10 mins is cost me $1056 by a professional to clean up his work. Doesn't actually know much, just deals in lower end invictas and overpriced gold/silver and cheap gems. I know we all have to eat, and that this is his and his daughter and grandchild's business and source of income, but refuse jobs you're not educated in and don't ruin peoples expensive jewelry and watches if you don't have the experience. By doing so you took food off my plate. It pays to go to a professional the first time, by trying to save myself 60$, he did over a grand worth of damage. read more

This review is only for their service of replacing watch batteries... on FRIDAYS. haha Going in the shop, there were a few other people already in the shop with their own jewelry drama whatever idk. haha but I was quickly noticed by the man who worked there and he quickly took my watches telling me it would be a moment to replace the batteries of two of my watches (a Betsey Johnson and Marc Jacobs watch). My mom was the one who told me about their deals on Fridays which is $5/watch. They had another price for $7 for nonstandard whatever that means. After about 10 minutes he was completely done and I was so happy to get my watches working! One thing I was a little irked about was that they have a Battery Loyalty Card where if you get x amount of batteries fixed you get one free later on. BUT the catch is, it excludes the watches you get fixed on FRIDAYS. so you either can choose between $5 Fridays... or pay $6.50 to get on that loyalty card. Overall service was quick, will be back if my watches need new batteries :) read more

I went to take my ring re-sized and they told me it was fading out and I needed to get it re-dipped so I agreed. I went to pick it up and my ring was all messed up, I could see the cut they did, they didn't clean it before re-dipping., there is lumps all around and bent where they held it to work on it. When I complained about it, they acted dumb and told me I brought it in dirty. Hello, that was part of the job to clean it before working on it! They didn't do anything about it, they charged me full price for their work didn't even offer to fix the issue. Don't take your jewelry there. I should have known the minute I walked into that place. It looks rubbed down, carpet stains everywhere, jewelry looks real cheap in quality, it stinks there. But I was trying to save money and in the end I got ripped off! Actually a 1 star rating is too much for that place. Never again! read more

DONT GO HERE. RUINED MY RING. If I could give ZERO STARS I would. Save yourself the headache and just don't go here. I brought in two rings to be repaired and sized, despite reading other bad reviews decided to take a chance. The gold and diamond ring I brought in to be sized was left just ok, I don't really see how you can mess up a standard sizing job but it was still left a little crooked and can feel the seam of the extension. Now, the ring I brought in to be repaired was not in bad shape, literally just needed two tiny solders and it would have been perfect. It was an expensive silver piece and when I got it back the first time they had completely cleaned off the oxidation finish and returned it to me completely mate, full and lifeless. When I questioned the gal she said they had to clean the ring to solder it, now the finish wasn't the biggest problem the so-called "master jeweler" (HA!) has soldered HUGE spots up and down my ring and the ring had been completely smashed and tried to be re-shaped. I brought it to her attention and said she'd try to fix it. Came back second time for my ring and although they had reapplied the black finish it was still smashed and dented. When I told her again she said find me a receipt or a very similar ring on the website and we'll pay for it. Fast forward 2 hours I go back and show her on the website, and goes consults the jeweler and he said there's no way he's paying my $250 for silver when it's worth $20. The ring I showed him was on sale! I told him he never specified a price or limit to the compensation and he just continued to argue with me now stating I had brought the ring in that condition. I told him I have silver pieces in the thousands of dollars and that if he really was a jeweler he'd appreciate the craftsmanship and not just the metal. I told him I pay for very expensive silver jewelry from John Hardy, David Yurman and Lagos. He said it didn't matter I had scrap silver. Then the gal there jumps in and tries to help, if it hadn't been for the old mans nasty attitude I could have sat there and argued with him all day. She tells me to email her a picture of the ring to see if she can replace it and two months later no response yet. So all in all, the jeweler ruined my jewelry, wasted my time , insulted my jewelry and left me hanging with several hundred dollars in damage. I should have listened to the other reviews. Should probably have the diamonds on my other ring checked as other helpers have had issues saying not the same diamonds they left. read more

Came here to get my battery watch changed. Very nice, courteous owner. Paid $7 compared to $29-$39 quoted at other area shops. I waited about 15 minutes, only because there were two people ahead of me. While I was waiting another three people came in. Got my engagement and wedding rings from here. My engagement ring, while I love it, has a bend in it. I also got a 10K white gold band (which I'm thinking is actually gold plated, more on that below) They charged me 200.00 for this...shouldn't have been more than 100.00-Stupid me for not price checking. Not only that, they gave it to me with a hugh scratch all the way around!! So one week before my wedding I had to have it taken back in to have the scratch buffed out and they acted like it was no big deal. They should have never let it leave the store that way! When I got it back, there is no longer a scratch but now there is an orangeish mark on the band that looks like rust-which is strange considering white gold should not rust. I am going to take my rings to an appraiser soon to determine if they actually sold us what we were told we were getting. I am super disappointed with their work and I would not recommend this company. I wont even take my ring back to have it cleaned for free-I'd rather pay a professional. read more

Ripped Off ! had a ring sized still felt small when I picked it up. Jeweler said try it for a awhile and see how it feels. I paid his $44.00 fee. I returned a couple weeks later and said it just still felt a little tight he wanted to charge me an additional $14 to size again. WOW!! it's the principal. BROKE MY NEW WATCH!! I'm normally not one to complain or post bad reviews, and honestly have never had problems with this place up until now. I took my $200 watch in for a simple battery change and when they returned my watch to me the digital clock/date on my watch were no longer working. When I asked why it wasn't working the associate told me something must have went wrong when they opened it up to replace the battery and to bring it back on the day when the watchmaker came in so he could pick it up and take a look at it. I ended up leaving my watch at the store so he could take it whenever it was he went in there and was told I should hear back what's wrong with my watch within a couple days. After almost TWO WEEKS I still hadn't heard anything so decided to give them a call, when I asked about my watch they said it had been there for a while and unfortunately the digital part of my watch was broken and that there was basically nothing they could do to fix it. When i came in a second time to see what was wrong with my watch The owners explanation was that "anything could happen when we open up the watches and work on them." I'm sorry but I've never taken anything in to get serviced and it be returned to me BROKEN. And the fact that I had to argue their terrible, shady service for a $6 refund for breaking my $200 watch made me really upset considering I'm the one who's truly missing out. I suggest you reconsider bringing your expensive items here for service since "anything could happen to them." Wouldn't want someone else experiencing anything like this read more

I went there for a couple watch batteries and they wedged a wrong size battery into my watch so it would work until I walked out of the store and the battery settled and lost contact. Liars and thieves! Took my 14k gold necklace in to be shortened. Wanted two inches taken off. When I went to pick up the left over chain was not in my bag. The girl looked for it in the bag turning it upside down and then proceeded to tell me that they keep any leftover gold to make up for only charging $8 for the service. She then asked if I did want it back. I explained to her that I did wanted it back and that it was not about the chain it was more about the principal, that they should have told me their policy when I dropped it off. She said she would look for it and call me. An hour later I received a call from her saying that they had found my chain and that they were sorry for FORGETTING to put it in my bag. They do very good work however I lost some trust when I wasnt told that my lab created stones had changed colors during the sizing process. Im upset at the fact that no one told me and I actually thought someone had switched my stones. They corrected the problem very easily and professionally. However some trust is lost. Very dissatisfied! I had left a wrist watch with them for repairs to the rotating bezel...four times. The "repair" lasted anywhere from 15 minutes to 24 hours. On one occasion I was wearing the watch on the way home from the business. It fell apart after about 15 minutes!They couldn't fix my cat! I suppose I'll just have to find a REAL jewelry store where they can do REPAIRS to watches. This place is a waste of time! I only wish I could rate them as 0.001 stars. So I sketched a couple of ideas and took them to Jewelry Mart, where Eduardo, master jeweler and proprietor for many years, looked at the ideas and immediately knew what it was all about. His assistant, Samantha, is a "jewel" of a young lady who's very knowledgeable, courteous, and smiles a lot had a couple of excellent suggestions. In just a few minutes we all settled on a custom design that's sure to dazzle my wife but at a reasonable cost. No pushy-pushy sales talk for bigger stones, more gold and so on. Just did what I wanted, no hassle. Our anniversary isn't until October. I'll continue this review then and report on how delighted my wife is (which I'm confident she will be!). read more
