A bad experience at Diamond Nails. My sister was here from Wichita and we looked forward to a pedicure. The male tech working with my sister told her her nails looked terrible, trying to sell a manicure. She told him he shouldn't say things like that "it was bad manners ". Looking back at the experience we should have walked out. By the way her nails didn't look terrible. Anyway you don't treat customers that way. Won't go back! read more

They're okay. When I walked in they pointed me to an empty chair and I waited for 30-40 minutes before someone even acknowledged me. I wanted French tips and the girl messed them up 3 times, answered a phone call and it took over an hour. When it was drying the girl left for 20 minutes to talk on the phone. I went in today 1/04/14 I got a full set with a design and a gel overlay so I could have a nice finish. I have gone to Diamond Nails before and I have had great service so I continued to go back and when I went today to have a full set put on and to have simple things done, I spent $35.00 and my nails are uneven, they look terrible now that I've gotten home and had time to sit and actually look at them. My nails hurt so bad, I can barely hit my nails on something and it's nothing but pain. My nail tech continued to leave me sitting there in the middle of manicure and it pissed me off because when she did come back she wasn't paying attention to what she was doing. I will not go back. If I wanted bad acrylics and uneven acrylics I would have bought a kit and did them myself. I DO NOT recommend anyone going there. Why pay money for a messed up manicure. Going to Diamond Nails was not a great experience for either me or my partner. We both receive Spa pedicures that were very impersonal and not to our satisfaction. After I left Diamond Nails, I had to go and purchase a pumice stone to remove the dry skin off of my feet, as this was not included in the service. We were both very unhappy and do not recommend this place of business for pedicures. read more

Ok, now that it's been 3 weeks since I've been there, I can definitely say I'd be back. The reason why I went in the in the first place is because less than 2 weeks earlier I had a gel manicure for the first time and had started peeling really badly. 3 weeks later my gel manicure still looks great, yeah maybe a little lifting on 1 nail, but my biggest issue is that my nails have grown out and can see the growth at the cuticle. read more

I would give this place zero stars if Yelp allowed me. My mom and I went to Diamond Nails on a Sunday afternoon, hoping to leave in an hour or an hour and a half since I had an event I needed to attend 3 hours after the original time I arrived at the salon. We were put in a chair and sat there for an hour and 15 minutes before someone finally came over and started on my nails. AN HOUR AND 15 MINUTES. Let me also add that about 6 of the other chairs were filled so the salon was not very busy. I said something multiple times to this lady (who was extremely rude might I add) about not being helped and how frustrating this was for me. To top it off, a lady who came in 30 minutes after my mom and I was immediately helped and already assigned a nail technician that began working on her nails. After I finally got my nails done, I was late to my event since I spent nearly 3 hours at Diamond Nails and was not even given a discount for my long wait. Looking back, I should've walked out and not even paid for my pedicure. Diamond nails has atrocious customer service and all of the employees at this nail salon have no compassion towards their customers. An institution like this needs to be shut down considering my experience and the many other bad experiences I've read on Yelp. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY. The worst nail salon I've been to. Very rude service, and very inconsiderate of my time. I had 3 different nails techs sit down with me before one of them stayed. The one who stayed kept yelling to the back of the shop the whole time he was doing my nails, and would stop in the middle of filing or painting to watch the t.v. At one point he got up and walked away for over 5 minutes without a single word. I chose a gel color and it very obviously needs another coat, as you can see my real nails through the polish. Very spotty and uneven. It took an hour, and when I left I still had polish on my skin. They are not at all concerned with customer service or quality. I will never go back. read more

The lady doing my nails was rude, she didn't say anything to me and seemed like she didn't really wanna do my nails. I asked for a cheetah print design on two of my nails and she ended up doing a different design..I think she forgot but she should've asked me again to make sure what I wanted. I got a gel manicure for Valentine's Day on 2/13/16, the next day two of my nails were already peaking off. I went back with my receipt the next day and asked to get my redone. The nails techs talked in a foreign language and completely ignored my concern after I expressed it. I stood there and no one helped me or gave me an estimated wait time. I turned around and left. I will NOT be back. It would be helpful if the shop had a full time receptionist to assist customers in a timely manner. read more

I have to admit this is my second trip to this salon and it was worse than before. The first time they put too much nail polish on my nails and the tips had bumps from the coats. I get a pedicure to only get home and see she cut my pinky toe. I will not be returning to that place..SMH read more

I had a pedicure when this establishment opened back after quarantine. It seemed very clean like everyone was following all safety precautions. However I was pointed in the direction of a pedicure chair I waited for 20 mins with my feet in water before a tech was able to service me . I watched several people walk in a wait no longer then 5 mins for the same service . I was given a waiver about COVID-19 saying I haven't had any symptoms . I had a friend make a appointment for us to have girls day at the same place . This week i went back and had a pedicure and a full set . My experience was even worse then last time the customer service is horrible . I had a man who was rough and seemed like he was in a rush with my pedicure didn't even speak to me . When he started my full set he was rough as well he was checking his phone texting pulling his mask down with no acknowledgment for me as a customer. He didn't disinfect his hands between touching other things . I was disappointed and irritated with the service I received. I won't be going back . I would rather spend my money with someone who shows more respect to customers. read more

First of all, I didn't want to give them one star, i would give them zero stars. So, I've been wanting to go get my brows done for awhile, and i decided, why not try a new place? So, I walk in and I tell them I want a brow waxing, and the lady doing somebody else's nails tells me to wait in the back room. So, i'm waiting for about 10 minutes, and then one of the workers, who did not tell me her name, told me to go in the room and then I sat down. Then, without asking me what I want at all, she just started waxing. She went through and waxed each brow twice (which you are not supposed to do). The second time around, she accidentally put wax on my eyelid, said "oops" and then proceeded to wax it off. Then, i guess she decided to make it "even" on both side, so she waxed my other eye lid. Now, both of my eyelids are scarred, burned, and red. Also, she made my brows really thin and she didn't even clean them up that well. 0/10, would not recommend. Never going again! read more

Great pedicures. I go with my little girl and we both love it. She loves the designs they do and they don't mind if she wants a strange pattern of colors. My only problem is with the guy who did my last shellac manicure. I wanted a nice french and it was chipping and peeling practically from the time I left. I go to Creative Nails for my manis now, but I still go back for pedicures with my daughter because they do a great job and she loves it. read more

I normally go to Club Nails in Lee's Summit, but really needed my nails done ASAP and my nail place unfortunately is closed on Sundays. I decided to give this place a try and was very disappointed! I took my boyfriend from out of town to get a pedicure and I wanted to get my normal dip. He got the top $60 pedicure, which by the way he enjoyed. I got my dip by a girl, I believed to be named Laura. My nails soaked for about 20-25 minutes as she sat right in front of me and said maybe two words, while texting on her phone the entire duration of my nails soaking. She didn't do the dip powder anything like my other lady Amy does them at Club Nails. Granted I know it's a different place and they have other ways of doing them, but my nails turned out so terribly thick, uneven and so unappealing. Even after telling her how I didn't like them thick, she proceeded to make them thick and uneven. They look like someone from middle school got ahold of dip powder and tried to do my nails. I left spending $120+ and am very saddened at how she took care of my nails. I won't be back and I definitely won't be recommending anyone to Diamond Nails. It takes a lot for my to write a bad review, but after spending a good amount of money there and getting nothing I asked for, I couldn't help myself. read more

I was asked what I needed before the door closed behind me. Which, normally would be okay however when it's screamed at you in broken English, not so much. I said I wanted a full set gel mani and was asked to 'pick color.' I picked out the color powder I wanted for the tips and sat in the chair that 'she' pointed to, as not one person offered their name. When the girl came over she looked absolutely perplexed at what I wanted and it took 3 people speaking in a language I did not understand before they decided what I wanted. The salon was very busy and completely silent, which I thought was really odd. Not one of the associates spoke English the entire 2 hours I was there, I did not get them short enough like I asked and it hurt like hell. I've had my nails done for more than 14 years by various salons, but this one is one of the worst and expensive to boot. I will not be back. read more

Do not go here. I have given this nail salon several tries, wanting to make it work, but this last visit put me over the edge. The lady that was working on taking off my gel polish accidentally knocked off the nail polish on to the tile floor. It shattered and splattered polish all over my brand new white tennis shoes. I was so sad, but knew it was an accident, so tried not to make a big deal out of it, assuming they would make it right. I assumed wrong, since I STILL had to pay and was told that it was my fault the Polish was knocked over. If that was not bad enough, they proceeded to put the tools they used on my nails back into a "sterile" package, re-taped it, and then placed it back in a drawer. I understand things happen, but at least be nice and try to make it right. However, not taking safe sanitary practices seriously, this place needs to be shut down. read more

There are only a few nail techs there that I allow to do my nails. There are some that do a horrible job. I only let the female owner do my nails when I go and my nails are always perfect. There's another tech that does a good job. read more

Cheap pedicures, and they're always busy, but the quality is subpar. To make your polish last, you should request three coats. Otherwise it doesn't stay on for very long. I only waste my time and money here when visiting family nearby. read more

If I could give less than one star I would. Nail tech was extremely rude. I picked out a color and she wouldn't allow me to get regular polish only gel (which I hate) then wouldn't let me choose the length told her several times I wanted them shorter I work with my hands can't have them long and she said if I want them square I can't have them shorter, I always get them short and always get them square. She got acrylic all over my skin and the polish looked absolute awful. There was streaks and it was very lumpy. read more
