I get almond shape, and most people struggle to get it right but Brian knew exactly what he was doing! He took his time making sure the shape, length, and colors were right! I honestly wish I could give this place zero stars because my experience at Diamond Nails was beyond unacceptable. I paid $75 expecting professional service, and instead I walked out with nails that looked rushed, uneven, and nothing like what I asked for. The quality was terrible -- sloppy shaping, uneven polish, and just overall careless work. It felt like there was no attention to detail whatsoever. What makes this even worse is how they handled the situation afterward. I was told to come back in a week for a color change and that they would take care of it. When I returned, instead of honoring what they said, they tried to charge me AGAIN. That is completely dishonest and unprofessional. If you mess up someone's nails that badly, the least you can do is fix it without trying to squeeze more money out of them. The customer service here is just as bad as the work itself. There was no accountability, no apology, and no effort to make things right. Instead, I was made to feel like I was the problem for expecting them to follow through on what they promised. Save your money and go somewhere else. There are way better salons out there that actually care about their clients and stand behind their work. This place clearly does not. read more

my daughter and I went in for manicures and pedicures. We were rushed by having four people work on us all at the same time while you're getting a pedicure they're trying to do your hands and my daughter and I couldn't even have a conversation. The pedicure was $50 and they didn't even remove any calluses. They just put lotion on my feet and clipped around my toenails and painted them my feet look horrible. Then we said we wanted nail polish on our fingernails not a manicure. We just wanted nail polish gel polish and they ended up doing manicures that were so uncomfortable and awkward with our arms up while we're trying to get pedicures and it cost me $240. I love the way Jay does my nails. I don't really trust anyone else to do them. My go to is a short dip powder full set in the color bubblebath by OPI. It costs $50, and I didn't realize how expensive that is until I went somewhere else that's just as good. Jay moves super fast, and sometimes my nails don't come out as pretty as when he's taking his time. They have a punch card, when you get 10 services you get $10 off. It's kinda like...ok, I have to spend $500 to get $10 off? Anyway, I probably won't be going here again. Horrible work! Had an acrylic fill with gel polish...the fill is bumpy and not smooth on my nails...on Every Nail. She nicked 3 of my cuticle beds with the drill and made them bleed. She talked in another language to other workers most of the time and it was awkward to be sitting there. She filed my nails and then painted, so there is dust on my nails that she painted over. I tried to tell her in the beginning how I want my nails when she was shaping and Noticed that my middle finger on my right hand was curving I try to tell her hey can you fix the shape she tells me I'm not finished yet I haven't put the acrylic on it'll be different I said OK but if it's still this way I'm just gonna complain later I will I allowed her to continue doing what she was doing the other nails Fine so the acrylic is now on and the shape is still slanted I asked her if she can add more acrylic to make the shape more square like the rest of the nails shoot just simply ignored me as I huff and I puffed clearly unsatisfied to the point where I just told her to stop I didn't want any color anymore and I just wanted to pay and leave. I am very unhappy with my manicure! I had a powder dip polish done and it's very thin and bumpy. She didn't even my nails out or even trim and clean my own nails underneath. The finished product looks awful and was expensive...$45! I've had several girls at work comment on how bD they look. It's embarrassing! It's going to cost me double to have them fixed ( elsewhere). Oh, Diamond Nails, you disappoint me. I have yet to receive consistent good service. My best experience at Diamond Nails was described in my earlier review. Since then I've had "meh" experiences and I've had horrible experiences. My most recent trip to Diamond Nails is what sent me back to Yelp. Steven the nail tech did a nasty job on my nails. I requested gel top coat. I didn't realize until later that if you put gel top coat on regular nail polish it peels off. I had to go to another nail salon to fix Steven's errors. His work was sloppy and amateur. I had a pedicure while Steven did my acrylics. At first I had no idea where I was supposed to sit because all the technicians were talking to each other. Someone finally pointed to my pedi station however when I put my feet in the water was on the verge of cold. I took my feet out immediately and looked around to see who my tech was. Again everyone was talking or doing something. Again I spoke aloud that I would like some hot water. My tech eventually came over and fixed the problem. Both my acrylic technician and pedi tech smudged my pedicure while checking to see if it was dry. I had to ask my pedi tech to redo my toes they messed up. Even then, I ended up having to redo my own pedicure as the technician put so many coats of nail polish on my big toes that it still wasn't dry after an hour. I barely bumped my toe and the entire nail design shifted off my nail and onto my toe. That was a first! Sloppy work, inattention to detail, and amateur technicians. Never again. read more

This was my first visit to Diamond Nails on Monday at about 4:30pm. Holly did an amazing job on my pedicure and gel polish. Sophia came over and did my first experience of powder dip on my nails. I have to say I like it so much better than acrylic. It looks natural but is very durable and seems like it will last. I will update if anything changes. read more

I havebeen a customer at Diamond Nails in Lee's Summit MO for at least 5 years. However over the past 2-3 years there has been a decline in service. At my last visit (and I do mean last) about 2 weeks ago, I felt overlooked, meaning I arrived there ahead of at least 3 people and yet they were serviced first. I noticed that this has happened before. I am a person of color and I am really trying to keep race out of the conversation. But I was overlooked and the service was given to a person of European descent. Maybe Diamond should try giving numbers as people come in or taking names so that will not know who to service next. Of note, the service I received from who I believe is one of the owners and/or owner's wife, was not very good. My CLEAR nail polish came off the next day. Also, before I left, my cuticle started to bleed and I had to notify her about this which did not seem to garner much concern. Spending almost 2 hours with nothing to show except damaged acrylics wasn't my ideal day.cI never leave reviews, but after my most recent experience in which I had to walk out, it's more than warranted. I've been going here for a few months and I was shocked at my most recent visit to Diamond Nails. I went in to get a fill and to have my daughter's nails painted. They immediately sat us down in chairs and painted my daughter's nails. I sat there for over an hour and proceeded to see person after person who came in after I get their nails done that did not have appointments. Even the lady that was standing directly behind me in line when u first walked in. It was very hurtful and humiliating to be continually passed over while I just sat there with my 6-year-old daughter. Eventually, they had an unlicensed person remove my polish from my acrylics with pure acetone. I know she was unlicensed because she told me so and that I would have to continue to wait because she couldn't do my fill. After seeing the lady get seated next to me and proceed to get her nails done (who did not have an appointment btw) 20 minutes following them removing my polish, I had to get up leave. To make matters worse, the pure acetone put on my nails to remove the polish damaged my acrylics beyond repair. The nail techs pick and choose who they want to work with if they don't have a booked appointment. There are plenty of nail places in Lee's Summit including one in the same parking lot that is much cleaner, go somewhere else. Do not waste your time at this place. I was there for 1.5 hours with nothing to show except a set of damaged acrylics. read more

Arrived ready to have a beautiful design painted on my toenails. I took a picture of the design I was wanting and asked the woman greeting customers if someone there could do this design. She assured me they could & told me to pick out the color I liked. So, of course, I chose black for the base coat & asked for her opinion on the polish for color of the flower. I showed the picture to the nail tech & she said she could do it. After the black base coat was on, she began on the flower. Problem- it wasn't showing up at all on the black. She suggested a brighter color which I readily agreed to. I didn't know why the design on my toe wasn't remotely resembling the picture I'd brought in, but I was willing to be patient as I'm not a nail professional and she was. Even after changing colors, it was ugly and not striking. I finally showed her my picture of the design (again) I desired with 'the parts of the flower petals that made me like the design- the subtle color graduations on the petals that gave the design dimension.' That was when I was told by her and another tech that 'oh no, we can't do that ...something about using watercolors and different brushes' than they had to work with. My nail tech was very nice and did a good job considering she didn't have the tools/ability to do what was needed to have the design look like what I wanted. It was after closing time when I was done and I was just so frustrated that I was spending $30.00 on an ugly design that doesn't pop. I mean, the whole point of having someone paint a design is to have it stand out. So, either the first lady lied to me completely when she said 'yes they could match that design' when she knew they couldn't OR she clearly has no clue how nail designs are done and also didn't know the techs at this salon didn't have the ability to match the design I requested. Either way, I'm out $35.00 bucks and will need to find someone else to remove this ugly design and re-do it. It was past closing time when I was done & everyone was clearly ready to go home so I didn't think it would be a good time to bring it up as I was already tired and now disappointed too. The most insulting part is when the other nail techs gather around your freshly painted toes and tell you how great they look. Riiiiight.... gee I'll bet NOBODY sees through this practice, since it happens at every salon, no matter how badly the job turned out. Won't go back. read more

I just left this salon. The lady who did my fill was clearly a manager and she continued to yell at her employees/coworkers the entire time I was sitting in front of her. She kept getting distracted and would leave the table for minutes before coming back to work on my nails. The fill took 1.5 hours! She also argued with me about how to cut my nails. I told there was a huge lip on my pinky nail and she persisted to tell me it was my previous salon's fault for why it was there. No, it was her fault and she refused to fix it. During my visit, she was rude, loud and very unprofessional. I've been to MANY nail salons and thought I had seen the worst. I will never go back there. read more
