I went again today and the entire salon is different, in a good way. The layout was great, it was not too loud, very clean and I got everything in the service! I got the pedicure #3 (I believe that is named the Deluxe pedicure) which included hot stones, lotion, the scrub, hot towels and some other things. The guy who did my pedicure was amazing as well. I felt so bad because the last place messed up my pedicure and then I hadn't gotten them done for a while and they were chipped, broken, let's just say not my finest moment, but they ended up amazing. I would definitely recommend this salon. I did not get a manicure to update the review for that, however, my friend has gone here a couple of times for her manicures and she loves it too. read more

I've been coming to this salon regularly and usually have a great experience with my nail tech, which is why this situation was so disappointing. During my most recent appointment, my service was running slightly over time and the next client arrived. Instead of waiting in the seating area, she stood directly behind me and leaned over to watch while my nails were being done. It made me very uncomfortable, and she only moved after I addressed it myself. What bothered me most was how management handled things afterward. While I was paying and tipping, the manager came over and began reprimanding my nail tech about staying on schedule right in front of me. I tried to explain that the situation with the other client made me uncomfortable, but I was dismissed with "I'm talking to my employee." As a paying customer, that response felt dismissive and unprofessional. I completely understand the importance of staying on schedule, but addressing employees in front of clients and ignoring a customer who is trying to express a concern isn't a great way to handle things. My regular nail tech always does a wonderful job, and this review is not a reflection of the quality of the service I receive from her. I just hope management will consider setting clearer expectations for waiting clients and handle staff conversations more professionally in the future read more

Last Saturday I went in for a manicure, pedicure and have my eyebrows waxed. The same older lady was the attendant that did all three services. My pedicure was great. She moved onto the eyebrow waxing and it was painful. At one point she somehow pinched my eyelid with the wax and left a blood blister on my eyelid. I jumped as it hurt and I said you pinched me. She acted like she had no idea what I was talking about. When she was done, she handed me the mirror and I pointed at the blood blister and she said you had this when you came in. I said that I would not have requested my brows to be waxed if I did have a blood blister. My manicure did not include filing or shaping my nails only cutting. I thought that was very odd. Two of my fingers were not cut evenly and she said it was because my fingers are crooked. After the waxing she had me pay for all of the services before I even had the manicure. This attendant was rude and mean and would not allow me to address my concerns. She just shut me down and acted like she didn't understand me. I don't deal well with public confrontation and this was an awful experience for me. read more

I am not one to normally do reviews and I always have something at least minor to complain about with nail salons but I can tell you there's not one thing I can think of that this salon has missed. They fit me in immediately after another salon made me wait 45 minutes past my appointment. Halle did my pedicure and was incredible. Tina did my Gel X manicure and it's the best I've ever had. Definitely my new home salon. They have a full bar (paid) if that's your vibe. read more

I visited this nail studio Saturday morning. The workers are vey kind, however the son of the owner is rude. My first time there and he sends me to a young lady that said she was still practicing. Why send a potential regular customer to a person in training. She tried her very best however the nails didn't look good. when I asked for them to be redone, the son was rude. I paid quite a lot for a "spa pedicure." It lasted 18 minutes, and it was poorly done. When I got home, i discovered my nails were still long and quite uneven. The soaking water was cold and the technician seemed unengaged with the process. I called and left a message yhe next day asking for a return call, but after four days, I have heard nothing. This first time or 2 was good but then product did not last even a day-gel polish. They were friendly.

Belle used to be one of the best salons in Independence. But since the ownership has changed, service has really gone down. First of all, I never know who to ask for when I'm making my appointment because I don't know anybody's names no one ever introduces themselves. The older lady, made five of my fingers bleed when she was working on my manicure the pedicure I requested says it's 35 minutes I was in and out of that chair in less than 20 minutes and it was not a good massage at all matter fact it kinda hurt. Luckily I didn't do gel because in probably going to have to take the polish off and redo it. Won't be going back. read more

First time visiting this location. Called ahead to see what the estimated wait time was to get a pedicure and a full set of nails, which was more convenient then waiting a long time. Soon as you walk in you're greeted, and they have you check in on their iPad. Immediately I noticed how clean their salon was, the environment was relaxing and quiet. They offer you drinks (non alcoholic). They're very sanitary about their stations I was impressed by how everything was in order. Also I'd like to mention they're not pushy with their services like other places, they tell you up front how much everything costs before committing to anything! I highly recommend this place! I have NEVER EVER complained about a pedicure!!! I have had black gel polish out on my toes for 10+ years. I assumed that was what was used when I went this salon. When I got home I realized the color was navy blue. I went back to have them redo it and the owner, I assume, told me I was wrong. I had asked several people, even strangers, to make sure I was not wrong before I went back. He was extremely rude to me in front of other customers. I asked him to show me the sample nail with the black gel polish on it so we could compare. Sure enough, there was no sample. He just kept showing me a bottle with no color name on it!!! I have never once complained about a pedicure in my life. It is for sure I will never go back there again. I was trying to find a new place and small business in Independence to support them. I went to another local salon right after and they agreed it was NAVY BLUE and redid the polish for FREE! read more
