The place is smaller than my living room. However that's not what left the sour feeling. Typically a lot of small nail salons have bad customer service. This was on the top of the list. You're not getting the Disneyland/ Nordstrom experience I can tell you that. When I walked in before I can get two words two employees asked if I had an appointment, I replied no. She then says, "We full, not today". So I said, "Do you typically accept walk-in or is it appointment only?" Then a customer interrupts and says, "they are fully booked". I gave her a puzzled look. I fully understood what the woman had said and no language barrier there. However, did the woman offer to make an appointment for another day? No. I rather driver further for better service and customers who do not act like they own the establishment. I don't think they deserve 1 star. This place had bad vibes. If I could give extra stars I would. This salon is the best ever. Cassidy is so sweet and gives so much attention to detail. In just two visits she has cured my mangled cuticles, something she said may take a few months. I work in the service industry, so even gel manicures chip on me after about a week. Not here! Two weeks always. I had my friend meet me out here (we live in long beach, I work out here) and now she makes the 30 minute drive to come here. They even stayed an hour after closing just to accommodate us this last visit. Can't say enough good things. You guys are the best! read more

I went to Diamond Nails because I was looking for a new salon while my other salon was undergoing renovations. I will say that they have a few Covid procedures in place which is nice but there is a few minor things I noticed. Staff is super friendly and you can tell that they really take time to get to know their clients and everyone seems to love their job. Diana is the main nail tech from what I experienced, she has a ton of reviews already but I do think she did a great job. Unlike other reviews I just decided to get a basic color gel, so I can't speak on her talent with designs. She's very quick, when I initially came in I was booked for a different nail tech who didn't come in and Diana started my nails and then moved to her client and finished within 15-30 minutes before returning to me. They do temperature checks and sanitize regularly and have partitions up, they didn't seem to be huge enforcers of mask-wearing but the majority of people inside as well as staff had masks on. I did notice the towel that was placed under was stained but again that's minor. Also keep in mind they do charge a $3 fee for removing gel nail polish which I haven't experienced elsewhere, but it's a small cost. They do offer breakdowns of cost and a variety of options for gel and colors compared to other places. I would consider going back if my regular salon remains closed. read more

I got acrylic stiletto nails done and they turned out really nice. Holly did a great job with them, i love how they look. My only complaint is that she was a little rough with my cuticles and ended up drawing some blood from my thumb too, i have several scabs around my fingernail now. Based off of previous reviews I truly wanted to like this place, but it was downhill from the beginning. Took my mother here for our usual bi weekly nail fill because our usual spot was closed for the day! I was grateful to have gotten a same day appointment; when we showed up I asked them if we could add a service that I hadn't previously mentioned (pedicure) and the receptionist shows up from the back and loudly rudely stated "we don't have time for that!" Which I get if your busy or have a lot of appointments time is of the essence, but come on have some tact, learn a little customer service! You're the face of this establishment! Anyway, they said if they're other appointments don't show up then they would be able to do the pedicure as well. So we sit down and honestly the girl that did my nails was great! I really liked my nails! Did it catch her name, but very gentle. My poor mother though! The lady she had was so rude! I can't even count how many times she kept pushing down and twisting my moms arms telling her to relax. Then she hurt my moms cuticle lining twice with the buffer to the point of jumping back in pain. The lady said "sorry I want it perfect, if not like this your nail will lift so don't complain if your nail lifts." What!? Mind you we get our nails done every two weeks and have never had any of these issues! While all of this was happening the receptionist mentioned that a client was bringing in not one but two friends to have services done and one without an appointment. They walked in and weren't told we don't have time for you. They took them in and started on the promptly. Their nail girl was Diana! She seems super nice (go to her if you are getting your nails done here). By this time my mom was over it and she said not to worry about her pedicure. Behold! Her lady actually began to start chitchat and nothing but nice comments. Oh where do you live? I want you to be happy so you can come back etc.... all of a sudden. Once my mom's nails were finished she was getting her purse in order and what not to pay. Not even a second after she was done the reception said I'm ready for you like three times in such a rude way! She was doing this to get her out of the chair so they could accommodate the girls that walked in! I mean hey walk over and say would you mind if I had you sit over here for whatever reason! This is a very relaxing nail spa with a nice atmosphere. I came in about 5 mins to closing time and the ladies were completely accommodating. The owner Mindy and her daughter Jennifer were happy to take care of me. Kim Did my gel manicure, she is very attentive to detail, my gel Manicure looked great(and they last over three weeks without chipping). She is very attentive to detail she suggested I try a matte gel Manicure; I wasn't sure about it so she went ahead and let me see what it would look like on my finger nails and when I opted for regular shine as opposed to matte she changed it for me without a fuss which made me feel comfortable and well taken care of. Over all this place is awesome, I had been going to the same nails spa for a few years and after my friend suggested Diamonds nails to me I was quite impressed. This will be my new go to nail spa. I will never go there again...so I got a regular pedicure and manicure. I had one lady doing my toes which she was good and another on my hands.... The lady giving me my manicure was so pushy she kept asking over and over again if I wanted gel nails....I said no at least three times.....after my nails were finished she grabbed my wallet and opened it without my permission and too 40 dollars out to pay herself she laughed in her language with her coworkers and made it a joke .. I got dip powder on my hands because apparently that's all they could do since the girl who did acrylic was booked even though I made an appointment. I went for the first time today and it was great! I heard they were always busy so I made an appointment and once I got there they were able to sit me down. It was my first time getting acrylic so Ivy helped me pick out style length and color. She explained everything to me and was super gentle.
