I got my nails done one week ago today from Henry at diamond nails. 3 days after my full set I already had a broken nail. Two days later another broken nail but this time with significant damage to my real nail. I have very little grow out (see pictures) and already two missing nails. That's not right. It is more than likely due to the fact that he did so little to ensure that the bond was good between the false and the real nail. No filing, no triming to my desired length or even shaping the nail before putting the acrylic on. When I say there was no prep - I mean NOTHING. Unfortunately, my real nails have suffered again and they actually hurt. They are not pretty. They are not shaped well. The color coverage is not even and you can see many bare spots. I understand that I was your last appointment of the day but I work two jobs and I work hard for my money. I'm so sad that so many steps were skipped in an effort to leave for the day. Maybe it was a bad day? Maybe he thought it didn't matter? But whatever his reason was still doesn't change the outcome and damage for me. read more

What a nice experience! I got the regular pedicure because I had needed a couple problem toenails trimmed. I was pleased to see that they use liners in the bowls. .Henry was right on time and very responsive to my requests. He did an excellent massage and trim and my feet feel wonderful! I made a repeat appointment and will try a manicure as well. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the salon. It's been awhile since I've had a manicure or pedicure where the nail tech was so thorough and meticulous. My mom made an appointment for her and I to come here during a weekday in the afternoon. I was surprised at how busy they were, but sure enough the last two pedicure chairs were reserved for us. The woman I was assigned did both my fingers and toes. She took her time and rechecked her work continuously. Each time I'd notice a little flaw that I considered mentioning to her, she was already on it and was looking to fix it herself. We paid for a basic pedicure so the massage/scrub wasn't anything to write home about . . . but I honestly didn't really care as I felt like that's really not what I paid for anyways. I got both a gel polish and appreciated her attention to detail on making sure the polish did not touch my cuticles. I'm only a few days in on the service, so I can't necessarily vouch for longevity at this point . . . so assume all was good if I don't feel the need to update on my initial experience. Pricing was in line with other salons. For mani and pedi with gel it was $70. read more

I love this place!! The staff are absolutely wonderful! Very friendly and welcoming! The shop is extremely clean. I've had the standard pedicure as well as 2 diamond deluxe pedicures... I go deluxe every time now. It's 1.5 hours of bliss! Masque, paraffin dip, hot rock massage, topped off with cute shiny toes!! I got my nails done here, and I have been beyond impressed! I'm a stylist, so I'm constantly washing hair and playing with chemicals... I've never had a nail lift or come off. (Except the one time I got my hand smashed... that doesn't count though lol) I see Henry... he's fantastic!!! However... no matter who you see you're pretty much guaranteed a great experience! Amazing staff. Tina is very detail oriented and fit my taste well. I am very picky with nail places. Nobody seems to pay attention to detail, making me feel important. But Diamond nails books appts specially to cater to that client. They are not one of those places that takes any and all walk ins to make every penny they can. The staff here makes you feel very special while you are there. You will have to book about a week in advance to get the time you want, sometimes you get lucky and catch a single morning appt. The owner is nice but one of the other male workers was not nice, he was very sarcastic in a rude way . Also, when I last got my nails done an older lady that did my nails really hurt me, she was not gentle at all and when I tried telling one of the workers he denied it and said that she had been working there for a long time, although the owner had mentioned she was new to the place. My nail was sensitive and in pain for the following days. The workers are not very transparent or honest. I would not go there anymore. I wish the owner was more selective with his staff or trained them to be more professional and careful. read more

Visited this salon faithfully for several months, this review is under my husband's account. Tiffany and Tina are very sweet and do a good job most of the time, consistency is an issue. Stopped going here due to Henry's habit of yanking fingers around, gruff attitude and terrible polish on several occasions. It's also obvious that customers are talked about in another language as they are supporting this business. This needs to stop, it is rude and unprofessional. read more

I found this nail salon through yelp, and I can honestly say I am so happy with the results. The staff was so friendly. They even gave me a discount because it was my first time. I recently moved to Boise and it's been hard finding a salon to get my nails done. I read the reviews on this place and decided to drive about 40 mins to check it out. I made an appointment a few days in advance with Henry. Upon my arrival he was ringing someone up and kind of gave me this 'how can I help you look' so I told him I had an appointment. He then told me to sit down and kind of brushed me off to one of his other technicians. Apparently one of his regulars walked in and he HAD to cater to her. Keep in mind that I had arrived before her, and had made an appointment. He immediately greeted his regular, sat her down and asked if she wanted water. He then realized he failed to ask me when I arrived so he kinda threw it in there as well lol. The lady that did my pedicure was super sweet and did an amazing job! I forgot to get her name! The nail technician that did my nails was a bit annoyed that I kept correcting her as far as how long I wanted my nails and what shape. (I'm paying to get my nails done- I shouldn't feel uncomfortable to voice how I want them.) Overall all they came out okay- but definitely not what I wanted. It probably would have been a better experience if I was greeted a bit more kindly and was treated how all the regulars were. I'm definitely not going back due to my first experience, and it being too far. read more

I feel really torn writing this review. I started coming to Diamond Nails at the beginning of this summer and had nothing but awesome experiences! The staff were always friendly, they had a great color selection, and I always felt like the finished product looked great. Because of my good experiences, I decided to make reservations for a bridal party to all come together to get their nails done at the end of August (I am the maid of honor in the wedding). I called two weeks in advanced and made the appointments--five manicures and five pedicures beginning at 4:30 on a Friday afternoon. I made sure they knew that we were a bridal party and they said it would be no problem. Well, it was a huge problem. We showed up Friday for our appointments to find that the salon only had four technicians (not a big problem, though our confirmation said we'd have 5). However, all four techs were either at the beginning or in the middle of doing someone's nails. I get that Friday afternoon is a busy time of day for salons, but THAT'S WHY I MADE APPOINTMENTS! One of the technicians got me seating at a pedicure station where I sat for FORTY MINUTES before they actually began my pedicure. AND I WAS THE FIRST ONE THEY STARTED! Some of my fellow bridesmaids waited well over an hour for their service to begin and spent the bulk to that time with their feet soaking in cold water. It was incredibly frustrating. Instead of having a fun, relaxing afternoon like we'd planned, it became really stressful as we watched the minutes tick by knowing that we had somewhere to be at 7:30 and we were not going to done. I raised the point that we had reservations and needed to leave by no later than 6:45. The technicians assured us that they could finish all of our pedicures and manicures, which was a total lie. In the end, three of us didn't get our manicures because there was no time. One of us who did get her manicure didn't finish until 7:10. In the end, the work they did was sloppy because they were rushing to try and not lose our business, which really wouldn't have been a problem had they started when our appointment was originally scheduled instead of 40-60 minutes later. I know this is long and it's the first negative review this place has received. If you go by yourself and have unlimited time, this place is great. HOWEVER, if you make a reservation, do not be surprised if you show up and they don't honor it, especially if it's at a busy time of day. I know that, despite my good experiences in the past, I definitely won't be back. They acted so unprofessionally. If you take appointments as a business, you better make sure you can honor them, especially if you take them for a large group. Clearly, Diamond Nails does not understand that basic tenet of the salon business, so I won't be back and neither will any of my friends. read more

I've hopped around to various nail salons ever since I moved here 8 years ago and they have all just been okay. My friend told me about her recent experience at Diamond Nails and insisted I join her for my next pedicure, so tonight I did! To start off, they thanked my friend Sara for bringing me and told her she gets $5.00 off and I also got $5.00 off because it was my first time! They made a great first impression. I looked around the nail salon and the first thing I noticed is how clean it is! I was then seated in an amazingly comfortable chair that had all the bells and whistles and was given a brochure of all of their offerings! I decided to pamper myself and go with the full meal deal with the added jelly (I'll tell you about that in a minute!) Next we were offered water or sodas (and I learned you can bring your own wine!) Because I picked the deluxe package I started with a warm wrap around my neck and then we got to pick scents for our jelly. Now you might wonder what jelly is, as it was a first for me...so you pick your scent and they put some powder in the water and it quickly starts to turn into a warm jelly texture as you swirl your feet. It was fun and felt great!!! After that, in addition to the typical steps of a pedicure, I also had a paraffin dip and hot stone massage on my legs and feet! It was amazing! They also have a great selection of polish and my pedi was finished off with my toes being painted the cutest color! I also want to add that while all of the above services were exceptional, what made the experience even better is the staff! Thai was the gentlemen working with me, along with his brother and a cousin. They are extremely warm and welcoming and even remembered my friend from her prior visit (which was her first time!)
