I've recently moved to Eagle. Because it was convenient, I stopped by Polish Perfect for a manicure. I can honestly say that I was very disappointed in the somewhat lack of professionalism and the product they ultimately charged for. While living in SFO, ORD and PDX I received a manicure on a regular basis. At each and these establishments I received a much better product for the priced paid. Polish "perfect" doesn't provide the attention to detail the name would connote. Booked a same-day appointment for 4 pm on Friday. I was assigned a guy that was in the back. He used the Dremel for everything on the most aggressive setting. When I kept pulling away, he asked if I was ticklish. No sir! When someone does that, it means you are hurting. I had tried out a few different salons after moving to Idaho and I finally found Tracy, a manicurist, at Polish Perfect. I am incredibly picky about my acrylic nail shape, and my teenage daughter loves design work, so finding someone who would take the care and had the skill to do both was challenging. Bonus - she works very quickly without compromising quality! For fills, my daughter and I are in and out in 1-hour. Pedicures have been hit or miss, depending on the person, but I've only had quality issues one time and I haven't seen that nail tech since. read more

I had the deluxe pedicure done here. Everything was well done with the exception of how the nails were actually cut. Excessive nail was left uncut, especially at the outer outer sides of the nails. In addition, the nails were not smoothed nearly enough. The filing was just a few swipes back and forth. I realize that each nail technician works differently to achieve their level of excellence. However, for an owner to allow incompetence to this degree in any of his technicians is allowing for a crap shoot for an unsuspecting customer. read more

Zero stars. I went to get an express pedicure yesterday, and left just to go home and repaint my nails myself. After the second coat, I politely asked the girl to straighten the paint line by my cuticle. She rudely said she didn't see the problem. As I leaned forward to point out what I was referring it, I noticed that the surface of my nails were not smooth at all so the paint was not sitting well. I asked her why she did not buff my nails, and she claimed she did. I was watching the entire time, because I've had a bad experience at this salon before, and she 100% did not buff my nails. The worker next to her then chimed in stating there was nothing wrong with my toenails. Guys I am not crazy. Look at how terrible the polish looks. New to the area, so I read reviews and chose this salon based on most reviews and convenience. Well to start, Andy the owner was Not friendly on the phone, and when I asked questions he clearly was irritated. I am not a complainer,but I don't want anyone else to be treated as I was (maybe it's an area code thing?) Tracy did my dip nails ,but 1 week after they looked like shattered glass.I wish I took a photo! I have had dip, gel,acrylic nails for years and this has never happened, and I was also charged 5$ more than listed. Although she was fast and they looked nice when completed, I will not return! I've been coming to Tracy at Polish perfect for two years. She is fast and very good at doing nails. However, in two years we have never had a conversation and I have never been thanked for a tip even when I handed her cash, or been shown even slight appreciation for my business. Yesterday I questioned the amount I was charged because I didn't understand what she said. I had done a new service so I didn't know the price in advance. She got so angry that she gave me a three minute lecture on what I was charged and how to press SKIP next time for her tip! I kept saying it's ok I understand but she wouldn't stop. Then she turned and walked away. So I paid almost 80 bucks to leave feeling like crap. If you don't need a smile, kindness or any sign of appreciation this might be a good place for you. Needless to say, I'm on the hunt for a new nail tech. read more

Polish Perfect I received a gift card and was excited to finally get my nails done. I visited them 3 times to use my certificate. The 1st time I got acrylic nails that were thicker than I wanted them to be and not cleaned on the other side, but, in general, they were good looking. I paid $50, left $5 tip, and signed up for my next appointment in 3 weeks. The problems started in 10 days when I lost my first nail. In a couple of days I lost another one, and both thumb nails chipped. I called the salon, explained the situation, and asked for the appointment. I was told they were fully booked and couldn't fit me in. When I showed up the second time, the salon was almost empty! How could they be fully booked if they had no people? After my nails were done, I booked my next appointment in two weeks instead of three, and asked for a different, more experienced technician. Nope, everyone was fully booked again! I said OK, let's make an appointment with a different technician in a month. I was looking at the appoinment list which was almost empty, and they were telling me that all other technicians were either booked or do not take new clients! I was shocked. What kind of business is that? I also asked for dip powder nails instead of acrylic ones, the answer was no. They charged me $45 for the refill, just $5 less than original acrylic nails. And I had to constantly keep my eyes on what they were doing and tell them that the nails were different length and different shape. The nails I got when I visited them the 3d time, were plain terrible! Thick and ugly looking. To sum it up, they have terrible customer service; constantly chatting and laughing while making nails (and if you don't understand Vietnamese, you have no idea what or who they are talking about); the prices are high, the level of professionalism is low. All people who accept payments and make appointments there are equally rude. Why would I recommend them, or ever visit them again? I WON'T! read more

I've been bouncing around nail salons because I'm the type of person who goes when I feel I'm ready to. Today will be the last time going to PP. I was charged $30 for a regular (no gel, no extras) manicure. This literally took maybe 12 minutes. No massage came with it whatsoever. To boot couldn't get dirt out from under nail after asking. They look yellow. I also got a regular pedicure for $55 (French $5, no gel) With tip this was $100 that will last maybe a week and a half, maybe. I think people are agreeing because it was empty...maybe 4 others in there when normally they were always full. If you have this kind of money to spend on a mediocre job then go for it or "go somewhere else" like the attendant told me to do when I commented that that's too much to charge people. They raised their prices August 1st. I have been traveling so I was not no aware of the price increase. A woman was standing right in front of the sign when I came in. When calling to make the appointment it would have been nice to be warned or when I sat down. I'm sure there will be a snarky response to this when posted but I just want to let people know. As far as quality of work I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. I wasn't asked how thick I wanted the white polish. If I'm going to pay this much I'll go somewhere they can produce exceptional work. Businesses raise their prices when they add value and it makes sense. This doesn't make sense as it's the same pedicure I got a few months ago to a a year ago and a half ago and in between. Same polish. I haven't been hearing that the price of polish has gone up. I just can't stand when a business takes advantage of a crisis. It's not good business. Up to you! There are bchoices out there. read more

New to ID so I've been looking for a good and reasonable nail salon. I called and asked how much a regular mani/pedi is, and was informed that it was $55. I thought this was a good deal because every other place I called was a lot more. Anyway, they did do a good service, but when I went to pay it was $65 and not $55. I asked why the price was different when all I had was a "regular" mani/pedi. No gel, and only regular polish on my toes and clear on my fingernails. No special requests by any means. They charged me $10 to put polish on. This was never told to me on the phone, that polish is an extra charge. I will not be returning as I feel like this should have been discussed either when I made my appointment, or at least when I arrived. All the other clients were shown a menu (after my service had already started). I was not made aware of any "menu." I guess I will have to learn how to do this myself. read more

They would not fit me in for ONE nail for my wedding... could've fit me in while someone's nails were drying, soaking off their old nails.. Tracy was my nail tech. First visit she was great. Second visit was absolutely awful. This is why I won't go back and/or ever recommend this business to anyone again. 1. According to their advertised pricing a fill (and I'm talking a basic fill, no designs... no glitter... nothing extra) is $35 however I was charged $45 which was what I originally paid for my full set. 2. For the first time ever I was told no, I couldn't have the color I wanted on my nails. Wait, What?!? "There's a nude color under it so the pink won't work" Huh? Why not even offer something other than putting the same stupid color on that I didn't like before? 3. My French fade or Ombré fill that I was charged $45 for was done with ONE color. And it was the color I'd said I didn't want but she used anyway. I was really hoping I found my place but sadly I was wrong. To say that I feel ripped off is an understatement.
