I've been coming here for a year now, and I've never really had any complaints until recently. I went in last week to get a manicure for my birthday. I noticed that my usually nail techs weren't there. I had someone new do my nails. And although he was very sweet, he gave me the COMPLETE opposite of what I wanted. I wanted my nails short with dip powder and a few gems added. Well, he proceeded to put on extensions. I didn't think much of it since I thought a little length wouldn't hurt. He barely trimmed them. My nails were literally 3 inches long!!! I tried to explain that I didn't want them that long but he said he would file them down later. It barely did anything. On top of that, he gave me the wrong colors and then started to paint a design on one of my nails even though I told him all I wanted were gems. It felt like I had to keep fighting for the nails I wanted. When he was done, my cuticles were burning and my nails were too long and UGLY. The worst part was, I mentioned to the receptionist that it's my birthday and when I told her I would be turning 30, she made the worst disgusted face ever. I was so offended. I'm never going back here. I miss the old nail techs. Please go somewhere else that's cheaper because this salon just isn't it. read more

Will not be coming back here! After a quick Yelp search I decided to stop my for an acrylic full set. I was greeted promptly and asked to take a seat. I asked my nail tech to explain one of the options listed on the website linked on Yelp and she quickly replied that they did not offer that service. I then asked if the price listed on the website were valid and she replied no. She then asked me to show her the website and after scrolling through it she denied it was their website although it has their pictures and phone number on it. The price difference between what is listed on their website and the actual price is just $5 which is not a problem. The problem is the false advertising that's going on here and the lack of accountability. Yelp also offers a check in promotion for $5 off your first visit. That was not honored at the time of check out either although the guy checking me out said he applied the discount. To top it all off one of my nails had a smudge which I asked the nail tech to correct and I just got home and noticed that it does not match the rest of my set. Awe sad to write this. After years of coming here, the new management just isn't working for me. Both times I've gone, the nail tech has seemed rushed and the shellac manicure/pedicure has just not been done well or lasted. Plus, the vibe in the salon is really off- they have the news on (showing terrible news stuff) and all the techs don't seem happy at all. Plus, they raised the price of what I get done. I've been here before and they did a great job. I recently went back for a shellac manicure and within 3 days they turned brown. I don't go tanning or anything like that so needless to say there is no reason they should have changed colors like they have. I'm pretty disappointed and my nails get to look dirty until I find the time to go have them I went back to have my nails redone and they took such great care of me. I went in today just to get my acrylics off. The man who greeted me asked if I wanted a manicure or anything, and I said no, I would just like my acrylics taken off. I was directed to a chair where the nail tech came by and was very pushy in having me get another service done. I get it, you want more money, but I did not want more acrylics. I came into the salon just to get them soaked off in acetone, which I did not have at my house. She ended up removing all of my nails with a fake nail tip and clippers. It was Incredibly painful, as my nails were glued on very tight, and I was in visible pain-I kept recoiling, but she would just glance up at me and continue digging under my nail to pop it off. I asked if she had any acetone to soak them off instead, but she either didn't hear or didn't care, and it was my fault for not being more assertive. She ends up cutting my natural nails, which had grown quite long underneath the acrylics, down to nubs as she's hacking away with the clippers. 20 minutes later she's done, but not before having to glue my pinkie nail back together with nail glue because she ripped it in half. After all of this, I assume it's going to be $5, like every other salon, even though I'm not even sure why they would charge for simply ripping off the acrylics instead of taking the time to just soak them off safely-I could have ripped them off myself (which I didn't want to for obvious reasons. that's why I came to a salon!!!!) anyways, the man up front charges me $10. Awesome! $10 for throbbing and completely damaged nails. I get it, I didn't have another service done, which is annoying and and "wasting their time", but 1. There were hardly any other customers in there 2. Soaking in acetone would have required LESS attention from the nail tech (just stick my hands in acetone and come back in 30 minutes!) and 3. I would have tipped to $10 anyways if I was charged only $5. But geez, guess I had too high of expectations that a business cares more about their customer experience than a few bucks :( read more

Highly recommend June and Lena at Diamond Nails!!! I've had the best manicures EVER by both of them. The salon itself is very clean and they heat sanitize all their tools. It's very nice to know that they value customers' health and safety. This time I went to June and I had a certain color in mind but she offered up another idea and since I trust her, I went with it and it turned out spectacular. She really takes her time to do a good job and be gentle with your hands. She won't rush through it so I recommend coming in to see her when you aren't in a time crunch. I've been to Diamond a few times in hopes it would be my new "nail place" but it is so aggravating waiting to be helped! I thought maybe the first time was just a one time problem because they do a pretty good job on my acrylic set, but regardless of how many people are waiting, it's always been over an hour to wait since only a few people do acrylic nails! Today they made me get up to sit in different seats while no one was working on me! If you get the right nail tech, they can probably execute on your design. HOWEVER, I've been here 3 times and every time my nail tech was ROUGH on my hands & natural nails. I'm talking drill bit straight to the nail bed after soaking in 100% acetone for 10 mins. Buffing so hard and aggressively that I got minor burns from the buffer around my cuticle. Go here if you don't care about the health of your natural nails. Otherwise, they are fairly skilled nail techs and you'll probably walk away with a nice set (regardless of what's underneath). read more

So disappointing. I got my nails done here per a friends recommendation on Feb 7th. Fast forward two weeks and they are already coming off. I work from home, all I do is type. There is no reason my nails should be coming off at this point not to mention the shine TOP coat is even peeling. That's not even the beginning of my upsetting visit but I wish it was. To get these nails that are literally falling apart I was there for 2 HOURS. The First Lady greeted me, I showed her that I wanted a light pink nail with cheetah print design, she said she could do that and started. She was a very sweet older lady, we chatted and when it came time to do the design she asked me if I still wanted it. That was red flag #1. After telling her yes, she hopped around to a few artists asking them how she should do it, only to come back and say no one was available to help but she was about to try. I know how this goes. I've had plenty of *simple* nail art designs in the past. I told her no worries that I didn't mind waiting for someone that was confident they could do it. I waited 30 minutes - no problem - kind of did that to myself I guess? (For a lady who had already seen my photo and confirmed she could do it. - but I will proceed *sigh*) I sat down with the new nail artist that had seen the photo and I had waited 30 minutes for who had confirmed she could do the design. Red flag #2 she tried to do the design and it looked NOTHING like the cheetah print color. She was using a bright orange when it was clearly a mauve tan that the photo was showing. I suggested her to make the color more tan. She had people leaning over her, watching, talking in a language I couldn't comprehend. They seemed like they were trying to suggest things, or be helpful. She asked me "look good?" When it clearly didn't. I knew I'd regret these nails completely if I didn't speak up. So I told her to forget the cheetah design all together. I realized there was no way she could do this design - not because she couldn't do it - but she literally was using the wrong colors and making the cheetah prints giant sized so my nail just looked like I had dipped it in dirt. SO I asked for basic white hearts. SO EASY. I saw her do them on the girl before me - so I knew she could do hearts well and that seemed VERY easy. You guessed it! The hearts weren't even done good! Why do I have GIANT BLANK SPOTS on half of my nails w/ hearts. I showed a photo that was a clear pattern all in the same direction and she just did 3 or 4 random hearts on each nail and called it a day. HALF MY NAIL IS STILL BLANK ?! She wasn't apologizing for the previous nail artist not being able to do my nails, and it ended up with ME saying sorry for taking up their time. I felt so bad about it, but like common. At least if you messed up on the previous set after saying you could do it and it looking like crap give me a decent design! I've been here for 2 hours only because TWO people have told me they can do something that they clearly cannot. PLEASE next time - just turn me away. The icing on the cake is that the nails completely fell apart in two weeks. It's awful, I won't return. I want to honestly reject the cost on my credit card for service not provided bc they are so bad. Proof that I had them done on Feb 7th is in my photos. SO SAD. This absolutely used to be my go-to nail salon and I never went anywhere else for years, but after my last two experiences, I won't be going back. One was a sub-par pedicure, but my last manicure was really what soured me completely. After being seated at a nail table, I proceeded to wait 25 minutes while other customers who arrived after me were given technicians. Each time I asked they told me "just a minute," and didn't actually provide a nail tech for me until I'd gotten up to leave. The nail tech who sat down was absolutely filled with rage, and I don't know if she was having a bad day or she was mad because I was just getting a manicure, but she shoved my hands in some lukewarm water and started chopping away at my cuticles immediately without asking me at all what I wanted. She cut so hard that I yelped and she drew blood, which seemed to make her madder. I explained I didn't want my cuticles cut, and she sullenly went back to my nails. I don't know why I didn't just get up and leave, because the rest of the manicure was the same. She didn't do a massage or a scrub, just half-assed slapped on some polish and left my cuticles ragged. She was so mean to me the whole time that I got out to the car and looked at my busted nails and cried. I had had a long, awful week and this was supposed to be a treat for me. Since this place has expanded, the quality of the services has gone way down, they don't seem to ever have enough people working, and the salon itself is getting rundown. Their little drying tower doesn't work, and it's made of this weird plywood that it looks like was jankily slapped together. I've been coming here for many years. I called today to make an appointment with my normal tech (Vi or Vy - not sure of the spelling). I was informed that they changed ownership and they don't accept appointments any longer and that you just need to come in and wait for a specific technician to open up. I couldn't believe a nail salon of their size doesn't take appointments any longer. I have such a busy work schedule that I'll have to find a more reliable place. Update: I saw the owner responded to someone 5 days ago on their review and mentioned they do take appointments. So I called back and magically Wii said that I can make an appointment for the next day........I will update the stars in this review as a see fit based on how the appointment goes. Update 2: Historically Diamond Nails has asked that I always call right before heading over to see if Vy is available, as they don't like booking appointments too far in advance. I did that per usual, and was told it was too late notice. Then they told me to book more in advance AFTER ME CALLING BACK BECAUSE I SAW ANOTHER REVIEW SAY THEY DO TAKE APPOINTMENTS. Nothing they say adds up, and it keeps changing. With management changing, they're taking a completely different approach to what was historically done. Update 3: The Diamond Nails website has an area where you can book appointments by nail tech. There are appointments as soon as 30 minutes from now. What would happen if I booked that and showed up? Okay. So I wasn't going to write a review but my toe won't stop throbbing so I can't stop thinking about my experience. First let me start off by saying this is my second time there. Both times I experienced the staff being very rude (common theme from other yelpers). I went in yesterday for a pedicure. The woman who did my toes was actually very nice. But when she got to cleaning my cuticles on my big toe this is where we took a big turn. I have never experienced so much pain from a pedicure in my life. And I get a pedicure about every 4 weeks so I have quite a few pedis before. The worst part is I flinched and said ouch ouch ouch, and she kept going!!!! I can literally feel my heartbeat in my toe as I'm tying this. And now I'm so worried that I'm going to get an infection in my big toe. Plus one star because she messed up my toe polish while putting on my sandal and took the time to fix it. Won't be returning which is sad since I live so close. read more

As I was getting my pedicure they approached me and told me they could do my nails as well. So I said okay sure. Showed them a pic of what I wanted the girl said she only does dip so doesn't recommend long because it would last long. So I comprised and said short was fine. I went for a brow wax and I left with some burn marks under my eyebrows and the woman didn't even listen to what I was hoping to accomplish and made my brows look uneven. TL;DR: 40 minutes before actual service, passed up for people behind me in line, looked up and tech was helping someone else before actually tending to me, poor communication (language barrier aside), WALKED OUT This was my fourth or fifth time here and I don't think I'll come back. Without any service. No update. Someone comes over and asks if I chose a color. I did for my nails but just wanted a base coat on my toes and the usual pedicure stuff. She looks in her kit and with an exasperated sigh, gets up. I assume to get nail polish remover. WELL GUESS WHAT. She didn't come back. I look up after a few minutes and SHE'S DOING SOMEONE ELSE'S NAILS. At this point I'm fed up. I was in there for forty minutes and all I got was an annoyed host, a feet soak, and my tech moved without any word to me. I started drying off my feet and that's when the people, who were previously walking around, come over and tell me some BS that someone's gonna do my pedicure now. Look I understand you're busy but I don't appreciate getting put on the backburner while the people behind me in line get service before me. First off I will say that the place is very clean! I only got my hands done, and for SNS dip, squared with extension it was $53. The price is what I usually pay so I was fine with that. My only issue was is that the person doing my nails cut 3 different fingers on the same hand with the drill and cuticle cutters. I think once is acceptable but 3 times is a little over my limit. I've never had a bad experience. They are very friendly, welcoming and professional. Always offer a drink (including wine) and give a neck/shoulder massage while your nails are drying. This latest set was done by Lena, and I absolutely love them! She asked me what color I wanted and I told her a glittery black. She came back less than a minute later with the perfect color! I used to like this place a lot, but had a terrible experience this week. I asked about chrome and timing as soon as I walked in as I had about an hour and a half, and asked several times if doing chrome on my fingers would be a problem. After the first coat, a manager came over and i believe reprimanded the manicurist while she, personally redid one of my hands. I left with bumps, chips, my nails "glued" to my fingers because of the shellac, and polish on my fingertips and cuticles. I kept politely reminding that I didn't have time to fix as I had a meeting, and asked if I should just do a regular shellac. As it got worse, I kept telling the manicurist it was ok, as she kept apologizing because she knew how bad it was. I was still going to tip 20% because of the time and effort put in, but thought surely I wouldn't be charged for something that looked like the "before" rather than the "after." But - The man who rang me up only took off $10 (so it was the cost of regular shellac) and didn't answer when I asked, "so this looks good to you? This looks like a properly done shellac?" (As that was what I was still being charged for - they just took off the $10 extra dollars for the chrome powder). He refused anything more. My nails looked awful when I walked out and chipped completely the next day. Also, my pedicurist sliced open the pad of my toe from a previous injury - it bled quite a bit - and now I have either an infection or ingrown nail on a different toe. The person at the register just kept telling me to come back when I had time, but I said that with the way this was handled, why would I come back. Time is a commodity. The reason we do shellac is because we are all busy with life, work, kids, etc. I am devout to businesses that go out of their way to respect that and provide quality services or product, but I received neither unfortunately during my last visit to Diamond nails. read more

Me and my best friend came in one day, I was getting a gel pedi and she was getting a fullset with the owner I believe. Anyway, my pedicure was perfect! Keep in mind, my best friend and I are BOTH VIETNAMESE but only I could understand every single thing that they were saying. While my best friend proceeded to get her nails done by the owner & I was getting a pedicure across from her, I heard the owner start to make comments about my friends shirt to her workers sitting behind her, laughing, saying it "was too showy and looked like she was half naked and going to the beach". The owner continued to make comments about the shirt and how tan my friend was and it was just so disrespectful and rude. Our services were awesome but unfortunately we will not be coming back due to the way the workers here talk about their customers. Pro tip: Don't always assume your Asian customers aren't Vietnamese or can't understand it, because they do in fact talk bad about their clients here! read more
