They hit every minute detail I requested without exception. They were cheerful, efficient, and they even asked me if they missed anything or if I wanted them to address more details . They returned my appliances to that "brand new" look I have never been able to achieve. My floors glistened. The sinks and countertops still shine. The next day had several house guests, and I never once did I have a concern about house keeping issues...(and I am always worried that I may have missed a spot -but not this time) These gals at Maids by Trade were both absolutely the best ever. The deep clean was…read morein-line with a mediocre regular clean--lots of things were untouched that were meant to be cleaned. Not a good way to start. Weekly cleanings were subpar until they sent a good cleaner who was my regular cleaner for a few months. Unfortunately, she had to take an extended leave of absence. The cleaners sent in her absence missed a lot: didn't vacuum under furniture, didn't dust certain rooms, left a whole room untouched, cursory job of simple things like wiping down dining table and kitchen counters--if they got wiped down at all. When pointing out the inadequacies in a specific job, I got a lot of platitudes that never amounted to the attention to detail they claim to pride themselves on. Clean Affinity has a cleaning checklist on their website, but 80% of the cleaners do not follow it. The most I could count on from a weekly clean (outside of my regular cleaner) was moderately clean bathrooms, partially vacuumed rugs and a gloried Swiffer wet mop on the hardwoods.

To this day me and my significant other talk about how horrible of a cleaning experience this was. Originally from February 28th, 2018: I really wish I was here writing a 5 star review, 20 minutes after the team left. Instead, I've run into a situation where I'm writing a one star review because of a situation with one positive aspect, and the rest negative. I'll start with the positive first, Magdalene and the two people who cleaned were very sweet, and unbelievably nice. Unfortunately this isn't a review of their personalities. I booked an appointment last week for a morning cleaning, arranged my own schedule around cleaners being here that morning, only to have it rescheduled because Magdalene mentioned she made a scheduling error. No big deal, things happen. Switched to the afternoon around 1pm - 1:30. I did not get a call until 1:30 on the dot that they were running over an hour late. Ok, now two scheduling mishaps. I've rearranged my own schedule twice, and have been on the phone way too many times necessary to book a cleaning appointment, but still went ahead and was able to reschedule for the next morning. Fast forward to now, the cleaning was just simply sub par. Simple things a cleaners should do. Sweep the floor, dust bunnies were found in multiple areas of the apartment. Wipe coffee table down, it clearly wasn't cleaned. Make bed, at the very least straighten the pillows if they hadn't been. And as any apartment cleaning I've had in the past, attempt to tidy up and make things presentable if the client did not have time to do so prior to cleaning (unfolded blankets etc). This should have been a positive review, because after all of the rescheduling and timeliness problems, they could have at the very least put extra detail into this cleaning. Extremely disappointing and hope a more thorough job is done for other clients. Addition to review in 2020: It's also important to mention that in the review I say "Magdalene" was nice. This review was written before she literally screamed at me about this situation, and when I told her I would be writing a review on Yelp, she said that she would not be refunding my money despite the absolutely horrible job at cleaning they did. I provided images of the poor cleaning job (which after reading additional reviews, seems like a consistent fixture of their cleaning business), and she said they could either could come back and reclean the place, as if they didn't do an awful job and massively inconvenience their customer multiple times already, and then tried to extort me for a refund based on a Yelp review. Literal craziness that a customer should not have to go through. I have had multiple cleaners from different companies since I used Ground to Crown and couldn't be happier with all of them. Ground to Crown is an ironic name, because it's as if they didn't even look at the ground :shoulder shrug:

This is a new business!…read more I want to start by saying that the house hadn't been cleanred in a while due to an injury I sustained that put me in a wheelchair since August. With two floors, three dogs, a cat, and my being unable to do more than wipe a sink or counter, it got bad... I mean embarrassingly bad... Yelp gave me the option of sending a quote request to 5 different cleaning services, and Broomed was one of three that replied. From the first communication, Eduardo was clear about how his teams worked, the costs and more. The two team members assigned to clean the house showed up on time and were very thorough. They were friendly and deliberate with each aspect of cleaning a room before moving on to the next. They wore masks the entire time and kept socially distant. Even more, they were incredibly considerate of me being in a wheelchair, leaving plenty of space for me to navigate from one area of the ground floor to another as needed. Eduardo came to check in on the team and my satisfaction with their progress. I let him know that I'd like for them to come back, and am looking at the calendar to figure out when I need them again. Give Eduardo and Broomed Cleaning a call. You'll be glad you did!

Here are a few reasons why prior to my parents heading in to town we needed to hire the services of…read moreMr. Maid: Lets just say that my husband and I have very different ideas about what is clean and what isn't. Both of us work a lot of hours and do not have much free time to devote to deep cleaning. Also, where we both work from home there can sometimes be a trail of chaos from one floor to the next. We pretty much looked at a calendar one day and panicked, we had no time to spare before the parents came in to town. Our normal surface cleanings would in no way make our home acceptable for parents. Now, as fabulous is my husband is, he isn't a fan of cleaning. So, the search for a one time cleaning service was on! Sadly, yelp did not have a lot of reviews in the area so I had to use another review website which had Mr Maid ranked quite highly as one of the best cleaning services in Portland. They are PRICEY.........I repeat, they are pricey. It was $160 for four man hours. They were going send two people over for two hours and told me to keep an eye on them and let them know when they should move on to the next room because even if they are not done they leave at the end of the two hours. On the day when they were going to arrive no one called me to let me know when they would be arriving. I was told they would show up at 2pm but would call to confirm. When I called the office to check on them I was told that the people who work in the office were at lunch and would call me back. When it was time for them to arrive and no one showed up, I called again. I finally got through and was told that they were just finishing up and would be over soon but there would be three of them that would each work for 1 hour 20 minutes. Fine, whatever...I just wanted them to get to my house. When they did show up (about 20 minutes-30 minutes late) I gave them each a task and they started cleaning up a storm. They were all quite nice except one of them talked on the phone for about 20 minutes. Granted he was still cleaning but will one hand. For $160 I want both hands and possibly both feet cleaning my house thank you very much. They didn't finish the entire house but I hadn't expected them to. They did finish all of the tasks that I gave them and did a great job. I did need them to go back and fix a couple things but that was fine. They had me do a walk through of everything to make sure I was happy, which I was. One of them was a bit slow (the one on the phone........grrr) and I was bummed about that because he didn't do as much as the other two. Overall they did a good job, easily 3.5-4 stars. But, I am inclined to give 3 stars because of the confusion prior to them arriving, the one dude that talked on the phone and was slow, and the fact that one of the office workers was a bit snarky. When I told him that I was down for 2pm he questioned me, asking why I wasn't given a window? and that they ALWAYS give a window and not a set time. Ummmm, not my problem! I just wanted my $160 to not be wasted. If you say 2pm, I expect you at 2pm or to at least call me to let me know it would be 2:30. I would use them again. They did a good job but to be honest, I would shop around and see if I could get a better deal. I am really not sure if they are worth $160. But, my mom did say my house looked quite clean! Hurray for that! :) What is that saying? You home passing your moms cleaning standards???? PRICELESS!
