I used this service for about 6 months. The housecleaning was generally good, especially the first one. Follow up cleanings were ok. There were different people who came to clean, and after a few months, someone came who hadn't been told how to get into the property to clean, and we were charged the full value for the cleaning cancelled by the company (I'm fairly confident that I gave the company relevant codes, but have no definitive proof of that). After a couple of cleanings that were ok, but not great, and then being charged for a cancellation that I don't agree was my fault (though I can't prove that it wasnt) I cancelled the service. It didn't seem worth the risk of repeat miscommunications/cancellations I would have to pay for. read more

Sam did a great job My home is so clean and smells that way too--thank you, Sam in Eugene, Oregon.

We had an initial cleaning with Tidy Gnomes. They did a good job on the initial cleaning which was going to be more expensive then we were going to get on a monthly schedule. We paid over 600 dollars for the initial cleaning and scheduled a cleaning for the next month. They texted and emailed us they cancelled the cleaning and to text to see why. I asked why they cancelled/and reschedule and we never heard back. The one cleaning we got was much more expensive than past cleaners and we were the understanding that once they did the initial cleaning the next one would be cheaper which the estimate for the next one was. Then they ghosted us read more

Our tidy gnome cleaner worked hard for 7 hours, leaving everything shinier than we knew possible. The cost was under what we expected. The communication & followup were excellent. Highly recommend! read more

Our Gnomes just left from their first visit and my husband and I are FLOORED with how amazing they were. They were thorough, efficient, in-depth, kind, professional, and just absolutely remarkable. We will definitely be hiring them again! Also the office gnomes were just as epic, personable and wonderful to work with! Definitely an incredible, unparalleled value for the quality of care they put into their work. I especially appreciate the care they put into their employees and giving them fair, proper wages while not breaking the customer's bank. 10/10. 100% recommend! Excellent company, excellent quality, excellent value! Truly wow. read more

They've been amazing to work with! Very responsive in email/phone. Awesome to schedule with too! I highly recommend! read more

HIGHLY recommend Tidy Gnomes for your cleaning needs. It was a struggle just to find a cleaning service that would only clean a bathroom. We were in the process of doing some late spring cleaning and just needed our small single bathroom to be cleaned. Tidy Gnomes were super responsive and had no issue sending someone to clean the bathroom. The price per hour was super reasonable and soooo worth it. Our Gnome was amazing. She was super nice and did an amazing job. She got to work right away and left our bathroom literally sparkling. Once we have the house in order I will definitely be using this service again. read more

Our home had gotten out of control due to physical disabilities but Tidy Gnomes has made it clean, safe, and like a home again. We were supposed to have two cleaners, but when one called out sick the other stayed all day to make sure the job was done completely and well and she was efficient, kind, and considerate the whole time. We are so very, very grateful and impressed with how clean everything is, as well as how professional and kind they were! read more

Tidy Gnomes exceeds my expectations each visit. I'm so grateful for their kindness and talent. Thank you for bringing life back to my home! read more

We couldn't be happier to have found Tidy Gnomes! They are truly magical. Every time they come to our house not only do they leave everything sparkling clean but organized as well. I love that they pay attention to detail and use environmentally friendly products! No strong chemical odors here! We have kids and getting home after the Gnomes have been doing their magic at our house feels amazing. You will not get anything better for the value. Also, the owners are super kind and such wonderful people. Please do yourself a favor and call them if you want your home clean! read more

I've been working with Tidy Gnomes for over six months now and I could not be happier. I've had the pleasure of working with many different Gnomes and they have all been kind, gracious, thoughtful, and talented. Plus, I believe the value for the price is fair. Our current Gnome is MJ and not is it lovely to see them each week, but when they leave my home is always clean, calm feeling, and beautiful. Plus, the mayor of the apt (my cat) is absolutely smitten with MJ :') It's so adorable to see him run to the door to greet them, and then be a co-Gnome chatting away at them like a coworker while MJ does their thing :D A true delight! From the Gnomes to the office staff, I cannot recommend Tidy Gnomes enough. read more

Cici and the Tidy Gnomes are great. I hesitate to be a person who hires assistance with things like this. The Gnomes are very kind and supportive to help me organize and tidy my modest home to offset all the effort it takes to have a home and support my family as a single parent. They are flexible, reasonably priced and expressive of their social values as small local business. Which is always refreshing and validates that I'm supporting the right local businesses in my community also. read more

We've had very hit or miss cleaners through Tidy Gnomes. Unfortunately, our home quickly became a training ground for new gnomes and that resulted in unsatisfactory cleanings. It also meant that from visit to visit our experience was vastly different - one thing I want in a clean house is predictability. Cleaning should take something off our plate. The Tidy Gnomes folks solution to the revolving door of gnomes was to never send us a new gnome without clearing it with us beforehand. Unfortunately, they have sent several, and haven't tried to clear it with us a single time. read more

Alex from Tidy Gnomes did an amazing job cleaning our house! We hired them to do a deep clean so the house would look good for when my mom comes to visit from the east coast in a few days. Our floors, tub, and sink have never looked better. And it no longer looks like a fluffy puppy took over our house eight months ago! I couldn't be happier with their work. read more

The gnomes did a great job cleaning, are incredibly responsive and friendly, and were very mindful of my specific requests for my home! Looking forward to regular gnome visits! read more

Fab, fab, fab! Tidy Gnomes did a great job, and I would have them back again. Thank you so much for your hard work. read more

I'm sorry to not be able to give a higher rating. I moved into my house 9 months ago and wanted to start getting a monthly cleaning service. I had an initial call where I described my house and what I was looking for. Tidy Gnomes charges more per hour for the first visit than do competing companies, but they were so responsive that I was comfortable proceeding with them. However, when cleaning day came, I was almost immediately contacted and told that the amount of time originally quoted wasn't going to be enough so I had to either cut out some of the spaces I wanted cleaned or pay for more time. I chose some spaces to not be cleaned. When I got home, I was disappointed to find that spaces that WERE cleaned were still dirty. Furniture remained unvacuumed and undusted, the floor was half-mopped, the walls and baseboards hadn't been touched. The stove was SPARKLING. It was clear that most of the time went to the stove, even though I was never consulted about that as a priority. Since communication was good up until that point, I was disappointed by that result. I was also told that cleaning the bathroom took longer than expected, but the shower door was still streaky and there were scuff marks all over the countertop. I contacted TG after this experience and they did discount the service. But I cannot recommend them, nor will I be hiring them again. read more

Tidy Gnomes are the BEST. Great at communicating, cleaning, adding a bit of magic touch to everything they do. Highly recommend.

Each and every member of the Tidy Gnomes team infused love into the home. The place is spotless and the vibes and good!

Gnomes might work in the garden but they sure did not work for me. Normally when we hire someone to do a deep clean the place looks and smells great- it pops when you walk in the door! Not this time. We had to search to see what they did. The house I needed cleaning was empty and less than 800 square feet. Having a number of rentals and having hired move out cleaners I have certain expectations both to the price and quality of service. They failed on both. They came unprepared. They had no way of reaching the top shelves or light fixtures. When I pointed this out one of them went home and brought back two chairs. When I came to check on the progress about two hours the three of them had not moved out of the kitchen and bathroom. Neither room was that dirty. The exception was the oven. I had already cleaned the stove top and all of the drawers. I believe I also paid for their lunch break. They did a very poor job on the window sills, floors and base boards. I had to go back and redo them. Lastly, they seemed more concerned with cleaning out our prior tenants of their cleaning deposit than of providing us with an honest service. $455.00 dollars later, we felt that we were the ones taken to the cleaners. read more

I've had the Gomes clean my 1000 square foot home once a month for the last year. They send two gnomes for two hours (4 gnome hours). Costs me about $100. Totally worth it for this working mom of two. They deep clean my kitchen, bathroom and all my floors. Plus dust, wipe everything down and tidy up (kids beds made and arranged, magazines stacked neatly, etc.) I've left a note requesting extra work (windows, gritty windowsill tracks) and they always work it in. They do not use chemicals so the house is clean, but scentless. They are always on time and responsive to my notes, requests and feedback. These local ladies are young, energetic and have a great business model. I was inspired to support their business and am pleased with the value and their work. read more

They should be called Angels not Gnomes! :) I'm speechless at how much Celcilia and Deana saved my wedding day! They are truly awesome people and I'm grateful that I found them. When I saw The Gnomes on Yelp two months ago, I was looking for someone to clean up after my wedding because our venue didn't offer a clean up crew. First, spoke to Cecilia on the phone and then met them both for tea to discuss the details of the wedding day. I was immediately impressed. The Gnomes were not only professional, but genuinely great people overall. They have a sense of humor and professionalism that makes you want to work with them everyday. On the day of my wedding, they worked quickly and efficiently to make sure that everything was cleaned and organized as quickly as possible. I hardly noticed them during the party - they were working diligently behind the scenes to make sure everything was running smoothly. It wasn't until the party was winding down, that I came into the kitchen to find them working like a well-oiled machine to make sure that our venue was cleaned and organized on time. It was a big job and they tackled it with finesse, grace, and professionalism. I was impressed with their positive demeanor, even at the busiest part of the evening. I would highly recommend The Gnomes for any event - especially a wedding - because they add a sweetness to the magic of such an event. I'm sure they're amazing housecleaners too. I'd hire them all the time if I didn't live in Seattle. read more

Having your house cleaned is such and intimate process, and in my experience can be somewhat uncomfortable. Not only because you are inviting a stranger into your home to clean up after your mess and scrub your toilet, but because (if you are like me) you may have some lingering guilt that you can't keep your own damn house clean! Cici and Deana have been coming to our home regularly for about 5 months and I can't sing their praises enough. They came over for an initial consultation and it was such a warm and relaxed experience that I was immediately put at ease. They are thoughtful and respectful to my entire family and our home. They ask excellent questions and are attentive and interested in how our family and home operate. They are detailed and fast in their cleaning and always leave things beautifully arranged--beds, pillows on the sofa, soap bottles in the shower, counters in the kitchen, etc. The main thing that I love is that they leave my house sparkling clean, smelling good, and in better shape then I could have managed myself. Not that I'm a complete slob or anything, but I have three young children so enough said... read more

These guys are awesome!! I needed desperate help with my place that was dusty beyond what my allergies could handle. I hired them for two hours and came home to a spotless apartment. The blinds and windows and floors and shelves and pictures were dust free. They got under books and electronics and into nooks and crannies. I'm so pleased. I was initially only going to use them this one time but I'm thinking every couple months could use another good deep clean by them. Thank you so much!!! read more

One of the best service-oriented businesses I've ever. The Gnomes are hard-working, thorough, and professional. Their communication is stellar and I find it easy to get all of my needs met without any fuss. The first time they cleaned my office kitchenette I thought we had a new faucet - it wasn't that bad before but wow was it sparkly and new looking when they were done. Each visit I see that they've seen a something that needed attention that I had overlooked and I appreciate that. Such great results and lovely folks these gnomes. I highly recommend giving them a try. read more

Charged multiple times for cleanings they did not complete -fixed only when I requested they remove the charge. Cancelled or changed services with less than 24 hours notice more than once but charged me $72 when I cancelled with 23 hours notice - then cited a days old policy I had never been shown before. The work was always fine, the actual cleaners were kind and attentive, but I need a service that reduces stress-Tidy Gnomes consistently created more stress. I'm disorganized, that's why I hired cleaning help! Without close watch I would have been charged at least $400 for services NOT completed! After a number of "one more chance" incidents we're moving on. The soothing emails and cute marketing doesn't replace good practice or fair policies. read more

EXCELLENT! I've hired Tidy Gnomes to clean my home over a dozen times over the past two years, and I've always been very impressed with their kindness and professionalism. I love supporting awesome local businesses like theirs. Thank you Tidy Gnomes - I really feel I can trust my home to your care. Keep up the great work! read more

I've had a lot of people clean my house over the years, and I'm really picky. I'm picky about the supplies they use (nothing toxic), if they mop behind the pedestal sink, sweep under the rug edges and under the bed, etc. Tidy Gnomes came and did a deep clean on the first floor (we have 3 floors), did our bathrooms, two of our bedrooms plus my office and it was fantastic! The walls are brighter, the woodwork looks fresh, and the kitchen was shiny clean. I can't wait to get the other two floors spring-cleaned. What a pleasure to have a job done right! And, I love the name "Tidy Gnomes." Highly recommend. read more

Not sure what is going on with Tidy Gnomes. I was so excited about their stellar reviews that I just had to give them a try. I contacted them via the Contact page on their website. After four days with no reply, I sent a private message to their Facebook page, thinking maybe their contact form was broken. That was over a week ago and still no reply. I could call, but I would not do business with them at this point anyway.(which is such a bummer!) read more

Love this cleaning service. They use Biodegradable/earth friendly non scented cleaning products that are great if you have small kids running around, nosey pets or just a lot of plants laying around the house. Super thorough with their deep cleans and are just sooo nice! Love this cleaning service! Wouldn't go anywhere else! read more

I love the Tidy Gnomes. Honestly, I think a lot of people who hire people to help with the cleaning have unrealistic expectations. In my experience they are the most consistent of anyone I have ever hired. They are always on time. They do everything I ask them to do. The only thing that stands in their way is my disorganization and they even help with that where they can. One thing I love about them is that they NEVER reschedule me. Even around the holidays when they get a lot of requests for special help they are able to keep coming. They are lovely people with very sweet personalities. They are very kind to my old dog. I am often home when they are here, and they are BUSY the whole time. I highly recommend them, but I encourage people to be honest and realistic about what they expect to have done. read more

The Gnomes are amazing!! When I decided to go back to work after having a baby, I knew that something was going to have to give. And I finally decided to hire someone to help with house cleaning. I love coming home to not only a clean house but a completed "to do" list! They don't use harsh chemicals and and are always timely and professional. When I did raise a concern with the owners, it was handled quickly and professionally. I highly recommend the Tidy Gnomes (especially for new mamas!) read more

I have wondered about the gnomes for three years now. They seem so Portland and perfect for my life. I called numerous other companies to clean my house and every time I disappointed. And today I came home absolutely delighted! My house is clean. The corners are clean. The surfaces are dusted, the towels are folded how I like them, the trash, recycling and compost was all taken out how I asked, it's fantastic! Seriously. I have been so disappointed by housekeepers in the past, but no more! The Gnomes are here to stay!! read more

I've had the Tidy Gnomes working in my vacation rentals now for about a year and a half. They are doing a great job and I haven't had any complaints regarding my homes! They also go get supplies when I am low or out, as I don't live locally. That is a big help for my business. I recommend them for sure. read more

I love these gals! I had family coming into town on short notice and needed some cleaning hands ASAP! They were able to accommodate the timing and clean my house within 4 days. They even agreed to meet me at my house really early before work (7:00am!) Both Cecilia and Deanna had such great energy and kind warm presence, I completely trusted them in my home. And they made it shine! Thank you so much ladies! read more

The Gnomes RULE!! We couldn't be any happier with the amazing job they do. Last week they even cleaned out our cat's litter box -- unheard of! We often have special requests (change of dates, different start times, etc.) and they are always accommodating and flexible. They're just truly good people who take pride in doing their job well.
