Unfortunately my experience with Cascade Building Systems has not been a pleasant one. They have…read moreserviced our facility with cleaning / janitorial service for a little over a year. In that time, I have never really been impressed with their service. For example, I would often come in to our washrooms and find that there were no paper towels on the day following their service. I concluded that as long as they saw that there was product in the dispenser when they were here, they would not service the dispenser. I have personally done janitorial service before, and I always checked dispensers to see if there were enough products to make it to the next service date. We also asked them to make some changes in the way we had them performing the recycling to avoid sensitive documents going in the trash. As with most requests, the answer was either "It will cost more" or "We can't do that". We finally decided to find another service, and this is where things went really bad. We were informed that we had to give 30 days notice per contract, but no contract existed. It was then insinuated that we were terminating them due to financial issues, which is not accurate either. I would have escalated these issues higher in the organization, but I was already dealing with the owner Darren. If I had known this was the kind of poor response I would receive from them, I would have made the decision to change cleaning companies far earlier. Maybe I am an isolated case, but for me Cascade Building Services is a company I will avoid in the future.

We needed a few industrial fans to help clear out smoke and they responded immediately and helped us out big time by loaning us their fans and doing extra cleaning. Seriously outstanding service.
