The contractor who was doing the flooring work highly recommended them to handle the task as well as to replace a deep sink in our laundry room. Both plumbers were polite, professional and very competent. When the time came to replace the pump after the tiling work was finished, they repositioned it into a much better configuration with the new PEX plumbing lines and connections neat, orderly and clean. Also, during the flooring job, a toilet that had been removed for the tiling work was no longer functional when it was replaced. Devin and Fred quickly diagnosed the issue and later acquired the correct parts to properly re-attach and repair the issues that had arisen. They worked late and insisted upon making sure everything was in perfect working order before leaving our house. The master bath was about 60sq ft (excluding alcove shower) in a 1999 3-story condo, and the job scope included: demolish/remove original alcove tub, sinks, vanity, mirror, vinyl flooring, baseboards install new tub with 12x24" tile shower walls install new shower fixtures at taller height install 12x12" tile flooring install new plywood, solid-door vanity install new porcelain sinks and hardware install shower curtain rod install vanity backsplash tile install tile baseboards The half bath was about 25sq ft and the job scope included: install new toilet with appropriate flange install new stand-alone vanity install sink fixture Michael and Chevy did the work themselves and met every timeline. Michael was responsive and communicative, quickly notifying us of changes. He got the job done with high-quality standards and within a reasonable timeframe, despite delays and set backs. For example, in late Feb 2025 there was a significant snow/ice storm that delayed the project by 2 days. Michael showed up on the weekends to continue the job to try and make up time. He was consistent, reliable, and transparent. Another example: Our master bath floor was not level enough for the tile, and Michael was clear and open about what had to be done to get the job finished to a top-quality standard. It added a couple days to the timeframe (and some cost), but the final result was well worth it. Last example: The half bath toilet flange had several errors from the original build and contractor work, and the toilet we bought had a manufacturing defect (leak) we found after installing the toilet. Despite these obstacles and added time, Michael brought the flange to code, uninstalled the defective toilet, and installed the defect-free replacement. There were several curveballs with our job and Michael handled them professionally and courteously, making sure we were involved with every change decision along the way. We are thinking about hiring him for our second (guest) bath remodel, and wish him all the success a small business owner can have!

We recently had a roof leak due to the cover of an attic vent slipping off on our roof. Had some…read moremoderate water damage to one wall in our master bedroom. Called JBC and they came out almost immediately. Mark (I think was his name) went up on the roof and took a look. He nailed the cover back in place and inspected the area around it. He said there was no other damage that he could see and that the roof looked pretty good. He also said that while JBC doesn't do sheet rock work, they could refer us to a business they contract with. We told him we'd get back to him as soon as we got our insurance settlement. JBC also gave us a quote for cleaning and sealing the roof, applying moss retardant, cleaning the gutters, etc., and we are just about ready to call and schedule a date. If we are happy with their work, we will call the in the spring to discuss having a new roof put on. Stay tuned for another review.
