We had Fred and Devin from Advanced Plumbing respond to our house to temporarily move our house water pressure pump for a flooring job. The contractor who was doing the flooring work highly recommended them to handle the task as well as to replace a deep sink in our laundry room. Both plumbers were polite, professional and very competent. When the time came to replace the pump after the tiling work was finished, they repositioned it into a much better configuration with the new PEX plumbing lines and connections neat, orderly and clean. Also, during the flooring job, a toilet that had been removed for the tiling work was no longer functional when it was replaced. Devin and Fred quickly diagnosed the issue and later acquired the correct parts to properly re-attach and repair the issues that had arisen. They worked late and insisted upon making sure everything was in perfect working order before leaving our house. We've had Advanced Plumbing out to our home twice now for what we suspected was a leak from the upstairs bathroom. Turned out there were no leaks. Both plumbers spent almost an hour thoroughly checking and ruling out all possible sources of a leak and found there were no areas with moisture. It turned out to be an older PVC pipes contracting and expanding when running hot water which sounded very much like a dripping sound. I cannot recommend this company as I have credible concerns about their honesty, or in this case blatant dishonesty. I am currently working on my 4th full bathroom remodel and had them take a look at my current project. The estimator came back with a quote over $27,000! At first I thought it was a mistake generated on their system's end, but later confirmed with the back office it was not. To date I've received 4 additional estimates from very reputable plumbing companies, which ranged from 6k up to 13k max. So if you have endless amounts of money to throw away, then hire them. I found them very informative and generally giving good advice on my situation, even when it didn't seem to be in their best interest businesswise. For example advising me to get three bids. When I compared the other bids that I got to theirs it seemed like they were not interested in adding the bill with additional items, expenses, caveats, etc. Eric was the main plumber I worked with, and he was extremely reliable, friendly, and knowledgeable. Chuck brings to the job decades of experience, diplomatic soft skills and artistic sense that is hard to come by. By the end of the project, we felt we were part of AP's family. We had special needs, which they were very sensitive with. Key thing to remember: they're a small family business. That means if someone calls in sick, they're short an essential member of the team. However, I'd prefer a delay any day of the week given that I always felt we were dealing with good people who would go the extra mile for us. For example, once Erik drove over to help us move a heavy package off the porch (the bathroom sink) and into the house. Since I built houses in the past, I connected with Advanced Plumbing and provided a couple of pictures of the project, including the water line in the wall (after cutting a hole in the wall etc). We had to relocate our water main line from one side of our property to the other about 175 feet away, we have a flag lot property and the city forced us to move the line.
