Be warned of doing business with this guy…read more Before telling you why I rated him so low, I'll tell you how you should do business with him should you still choose to. First, I'm a marketing consultant and I used Art a couple years ago to build an APP for one of my clients and it turned out fine. No real issues. But this most recent time, it ended up similar to Roxanne's (who also left a 1 star rating) experience. So, if you choose to do business with him, this is how you should do it. Actually this is how I would usually do business with vendors but because I had a positive experience with him the first time, and we became "friends," I let my guard down. First, have a signed contract with deliverables and timelines. Second, DO NOT pay him his entire fee before he finishes the project. Otherwise you have zero leverage for him to complete the project as desired. Pay him a portion up front to get started (no more than half). Then pay the last portion when he delivers to your satisfaction. Sometimes I'll pay a third up front, the second third after completion of the first portion of the project as agreed upon and then the last third upon completion. So, what happened to me this time was that back in April 2019, I engaged Art to build an APP for one of my clients. Paid him half up front and he created a mock up to show my client. Everything seemed fine. In the first of May I sent him the edits that my client and I had and he said he needed the rest of the money to publish on iTunes and Google Play. I wasn't comfortable with that but he said he needed the extra money for the fees that iTunes and Google Play had. So we agreed upon a lesser amount that was only about $300 short of his entire fee. Looking back, I should not have paid him even that much. One month, two months and three months went by and many excuses of why the APP was not published. He said it was one technical issue after another. I told him, I'm tired of waiting and so is my client. So, I suggested we discontinue and asked for a refund. He refused of course. The beginning of July the APP was finally publised on iTunes and Google Play but it still needed to put in my clients content. At this point it was just a mock up and was not useful. Days and weeks went by with no changes. He continued to say, "I'll get it done tonight" "I'll get it done this weekend. (all conversations are on text) Then he said he was having legal issues with his ex-wife. Well, August was approaching and I'm finally fed up, so I tell him if things aren't fixed by the end of the week, then the deal is done and I want a full refund. No response. So between the first of April and first of August, no finished product delivered. 5 months! Way too long for this simple APP which was going to be primarily made up of webpage feeds from the website. The website was built for the same client in 3 months. By another vendor (Standout Marketing) who I've used for most of my clients who has been highly reliable and does great work! He does great graphics, websites, and video work. So after receiving no response from my last demand, I go on his Facebook page and I see that he left for the Phillipines with a friend to go see his new girlfriend. (he didn't seemed too stressed about his ex-wife) I asked for a full refund with no response. Now considering my options. Of course as the other reviewer, Roxy, says, he doesn't have a listed, real address. It's just a mailbox. But I know I can get his home address pretty easy. It's just a matter of how bad I want to pursue this. The sad thing is I thought we were friends but he has not made any attempt to make this right. I would normally walk away from something like this and chalk it up to a lesson learned but seeing that he did a similar thing to someone else, made me think I should warn people of how to do business with him if they still choose to. So go in with eyes wide open when dealing with Art.

After growing my brand from "side hustle" to "serious," it was time to partner with a professional brand shop and Ludlow Kingsley was the best fit. For robust brand work that can support your business's marketing growth campaigns for years to come, LK delivers excellently at a reasonable price. They are first and foremost brand strategists, so they care about understanding the product, the target customer, and how to build a lasting impactful connection between the two. It makes their work enduring and scalable, which is critical to a fast-growing brand. They do beautiful work. (I love flipping through the brand guidelines they helped us develop whenever I need product or marketing inspiration.) I've partnered with them for strategy, identity, naming, taglines and copy work, and website design. I love the team. They're a boutique shop, so you can be confident your work is being led by the same people you meet during your pitch and kickoff meetings. Thank you Anna, Taylor, Clark, Chris, and everyone at LK!

No one was owning the sales process and making me feel comfortable investing in a new website. Having worked in the tech space for ten years I like to think, I'm pretty savvy and update with the pros and cons of working with an agency and was not afraid to spend the money to get the vision I wanted. I took the plunge with an agency who later turned out to be leading me up the garden path with there competency. I was $1500 down and decide to cut my losses and continue my search. What a mistake! You live and learn. My paranoia was at an all-time high! I then got introduced to Danny Alsaffar CEO from Giraffe Builders. Danny spent time understanding my requirements and relaxed me into the process. Within days we were rocking. I was beyond excited because he shared my vision and challenged me on a number of my points. Great! That's what I wanted. GB, crushed every deadline and we built an excellent understanding with Daniella who was instrumental in pulling the pieces together. Every company needs a Daniella. Energy, Drive with a passion for customer service. I loved using their project management tools! I work best when there is something to see, GB presented me with numerous visuals allowing me to point and aim feedback. So many agencies out there want to create a cookie cutter site and move on to the next. GB could not be further from this and genuinely felt like Danny was just as excited as me to complete the challenge. Can not thank them enough for there work and would happily speak to anyone that is looking to review their services. Fantastic work, you're the best agency in the jungle! This went on for about a month. I spent thousands of dollars on an IT company to investigate and learned that Sunlight Media created a whole new email server for me, same email address, at GoDaddy. So, all of my emails were diverted to GoDaddy (I use business Gmail). Rather than fix the contact form on my website, they created a whole new email for me on a new server at GoDaddy. Also, when the IT company was on the back server of my site trying to investigate this, they learned that my Google Crawl (which tracks SEO) was turned off and it was turned off around the time Sunlight Media LLC built my website (the date of the change showed). Not once has Angelo accepted responsibility. Rather, he says things like his colossal mistake was within "the scope of our agreement." As if, diverting my emails to a whole new email server at GoDaddy was within the scope of our agreement when I asked him to fix the contact form on my website. Sunlight Media should reflect on their lack of professionalism and the lack of personalized attention they provide to projects. They have no care for the outcome or attention to detail. Beware. Totally unprofessional.
