Cute café and the food was OK but very expensive. $50 for breakfast when I only had oatmeal is just too much to pay and probably 20% higher than places nearby. They also had a sign on the table that says no Wi-Fi and no laptops and a one hour limit to sit there. That type of sign is consistent with the snobbiness of the place. read more

Been meaning to try this place every time I walked down 24th street from Philz Coffee and finally tried it last week. Little did I know this was a whole new establishment altogether! My smoked salmon scramble was lovely, accompanying salad fresh and delicious. My girl friend agreed (she had the veggie scramble with a side of fruit). Our drinks were tasty too - coffee for me, chai for her. After we were done grazing, we decided to hang out a little longer to do some work. The owner was really nice and gave us the wifi password with no problems. Ended up closing the place down and he was so chill about it. I think that the Diamond Cafe is a cute little gem in Noe Valley. I wouldn't have discovered this place if my job wasn't next door. The place is not that big but there are seats inside & outside. I go to this place every week in the morning before work & the workers there are super friendly. He even remembered my daily order lol + he greets everyone. I always get a tea & a bagel, all for $5. It's good quality and nicely prepared. Sometimes I'll get a mocha, which is good too or a lox bagel, or a pastry. Their almond croissant is bomb.com. It's one of my faves, as well as their chocolate croissant. They are full of flavor, as well as buttery and flakey. I have yet to try their more savory dishes like their crepes, scrambles or sandwiches. My bosses and co-workers seem to like them though. If you're ever in the neighborhood and want a coffee fix or a meal, stop by! read more

This is a local favorite Noe Valley spot. You'll see all your neighbors here on a sunny Saturday morning. My favorites are the mission omelette and the rancheros. My 2nd FIVE star rating in less than 24 hours. Karma? This one is overdue. I stumbled upon DC in my new neighborhood when I was looking for a good cup of coffee before heading to the office. I paid 2 dollars and change and walked over to the self serve coffee counter to find Big Mike Blend. This was a good start. A friend and his family have called me Big Mike for years & this coffee reminds me of the amazing friendships I have. The coffee itself was quite good - not amazing but delicious enough to become a semi-regular cup. The owners name is also Mike, that's a winner in my books. :) And here I thought the coffee was named after me?! Lol. I've had breakfast here 3 times and the food does not disappoint. Food quality is excellent. Staff is attentive and Mike is very personable. He understands customer service and his staff also follows his lead. The clientele flows in and out and everyone that I've seen here before has a similar appreciative look on their faces. Everyone gets more than a cup of coffee or meal, they walk away with some of Mike's positive energy. Can't buy that and you get it by simply being around it. This is my first Yelp review, and I was saving it for a special place. This spot more than merits my Yelp virginity. I was in the mood for a chill cafe to read/browse the web at and also maybe get a sandwich. I wandered in at 1:30 to find they serve breakfast all day. Ordered a veggie scramble with toast and fruit and some coffee. The place is clean, with big windows overlooking Noe Valley. Probably didn't hurt that my favorite jazz standards were playing on the sound system. The food was absolutely fantastic. Delicious, hearty scramble made complete with fresh fruit, toast (hard to screw up) and a little jar of local preservatives that the owner brought to my table--no Smuckers packets here. It's obvious that the owner of this place takes pride in it: during my meal I saw him washing dishes, setting up the coffee table, cleaning tables, serving food, and chatting up the customers who seemed like they were all old friends. As for additional details: the coffee table is complete and well thought out. Spoons instead of stir sticks, a whole pot of honey, and all the rest of the coffee fixings made me very happy. Also a jug of cucumber water and ample glasses so I didn't have to keep asking for water/refills. The tables were all clean and each had a jar with fresh flowers. The owner personally served me and made sure I had everything I needed. It was little details like this that really impressed me and made me feel comfortable. In short, this spot was everything I wanted it to be for a lazy afternoon in Noe Valley. Can't recommend it enough. read more

Came here for breakfast after the great reviews I saw on Yelp! This was located in a quaint (but definitely hilly) part of town. When we walked in, I liked how comfortable the environment was. It was definitely a good brunch joint, with a coffee shop vibe. The man behind the register was very friendly and recommended a few items when we asked. But I already had my mind set on the Smoked Salmon Scramble after reading the comments on Yelp! When the salmon scramble came, it didn't look as nice as other scrambles I've had, but it did taste good. I personally love smoked salmon, and it was great in the scramble. I also loved how they added cream cheese in it! However, I thought that it wasn't as amazing as all the other Yelpers said it was. I actually liked my friend's Breakfast Burrito. I really liked the bed of beans the burrito was on, and I just really liked all the flavors. The beans didn't taste canned, so that may be why. Even though I only had a bite of the Breakfast Burrito, but I definitely liked it more than the Smoked Salmon scramble. Overall, I really liked this place! I think as good as the Smoked Salmon was, I was kind of tired of it at the end. I highly recommend the Breakfast Burrito and I would probably get that if I came here again. Again, the man was pretty friendly and even came over to stabilize the table by slipping something under it, even though we didn't say anything. A lovely little cafe. Seating is a bit dirty and dusty, but it's okay. Scrambles are a bit expensive in my opinion for what you get ($12.00 for two eggs, two slices of toast and some potatoes). Scrambles are well cooked, but very bland and underseasoned. Toast is buttered, but not served with jam, also slightly under toasted. What was tasty was their bagel, in particular this one cream cheese + onion + tomato everything bagel for $3.50. It was absolutely delicious!! I would just get that. I have recently moved to the Bay Area and noticed that this place had 4.5 stars and now am not completely sure why. My mom and I ordered two different crepes, the Hawaiian and the Florentine. It's a cute little cafe on the corner with friendly staff and delectable offerings, including sweet and savory crepes and an eclectic collection of bagels, eggs, sandwiches, etc. My hubby ordered the triple diamond: eggs, pancakes, and bacon. The eggs were perfectly over-easy, the bacon was crunchy, salty goodness, and the pancakes were fluffy and yummy. I had the breakfast burrito and loved it. It was different than any breakfast burrito I've ever had, and trust me, I've tried a lot of them! It was filled with eggs, bacon, green onions, and cheese, and swimming in a pool of tasty homemade chili. Cute little cafe for a nice afternoon computer session. I had a simple caesar salad and coffee, both were delicious. The chicken on my little caesar was well seasoned and yummy by itself. Ran me less than $12. Wifi is free, just get the code from the guy who took your order. I assume he is the owner, and he is super nice and interested in making your experience the best. From my hour here I observed that the place is new, there are already regulars who care about the business and like the owner, and it is very family oriented. I think his daughter came in after school to do homework and eat soup, she is adorable. Reminds me of the restaurant I grew up in back home, and that little girl used to be me. The place was full but I found a cute table by the door with an outlet. A lot of traffic, people coming in for lattes and coffees. You can also have an Italian soda. The serve salads, crepes, breakfast, bagels, and sandwiches. Oh, and outdoor seating. The door stayed open the entire time, so I felt like I was outside without the cool temps or bright sunlight glaring up my computer screen. I had a quick day trip to San Francisco that took me to the Noe Valley neighborhood. I was looking for a casual breakfast spot where I could fortify with some eggs and coffee before getting back on the road. This place fit the bill. I tried one of their specials, the mission omelette. Stuffed with black beans, avocado and cheese with salsa and some crema spread on top, it was a hearty meal. It came with potatoes and sourdough toast though salad was an option. An all around solid breakfast in a relaxed environment, at least until the Catholic school next door breaked for lunch and some enthusiastic elementary students came streaming inside. I came to this cute little corner spot on a Saturday afternoon and I was impressed. It's a too cute to pass up spot out in Noe Valley that is perfect for a leisurely bite. They have anywhere between 7-12 tables inside and a few outdoors. They have an array of pastries in the front and just enough warm items to not overwhelm you. I took my daughter here before hitting up one of the local nail salons and it was just what we needed. We always order two dishes even though it's typically waaay too much food, just to try each others choices. She got the Chicken Sando recommended by the nice lady at the register and I had the Florentine Crepe. Which by the way, were both Aaaah Mazing!!!! I loved both the choices. If either one of us had space for dessert we probably would have but sorry better luck next time. If you aren't too fond of children this may not be the place for you. This corner cafe serves a variety of standard breakfast options. I ordered the Triple Diamond, consisting of 2 eggs (mine were scrambled), pancakes, and bacon. For $11.95, I was disappointed with the quality of the pancakes and the eggs. The bacon was pretty good and well prepared. The pancakes were a disaster: tough, dry, and leathery, and served with pancake syrup rather than maple syrup, which I would expect at this price point. The eggs were overcooked. My partner's dish, Morning Bird, has the same scrambled eggs, good rye toast, and potatoes that were standard but satisfactory, not greasy but not particularly crispy. The fresh squeezed orange juice was excellent. Overall, the place is friendly, not overly crowded, and there is outdoor seating for nice weather days. read more
