I went for a CT. First, the initial person was unable to insert the catheter into my vein and needed help. The second person was able to insert the catheter. However, during the CT, the technician stated that I was to call if I experienced pain of any kind as a result of the iodine contrast. I called due to pain 3 times. The person stated that she heard me but wanted to get the pictures. My vein was blown due to how fast the contrast was running. The tech needed to hold my vein and "push out the contrast before letting me go. This person as rude, dismissive and displayed no empathy for the pain s caused. read more

Each time I come for appointments, I am seen in a timely and efficient manner. I have no complaints. Although the last time I came, the technician was lacking in a good bedside manner. When she performed the exam, she would loudly exclaim, "stop breathing" so that she could take the photograph. I was a bit startled by this, but also found it humorous! Lol I think if she would say, "hold your breath" it would be taken a bit better. Today's exam went well. No complaints. read more

I went today for a brain MRI, and the nurse who did my vein for the contrast was extremely rude. I walk slower due to chronic pain, and she walked fast and was tapping her clipboard on her leg while checking the time. She had an attitude and my vein was bleeding quite a bit. She wiped some blood off my arm but left quite a lot on my arm. The guy who did my MRI was fantastic he was so nice. I've been to 2 locations now. The first time I went my vein was swollen and extremely bruised and I could barely move my arm. Both phlebotomist I've had messed up my veins and both times my blood has gone everywhere. The first time it got all over the arm rest and she just wiped it off with a little wipe and called it a day. The inside of the MRI machine was gross and dirty, there was some random sticker on it that definitely didn't belong there. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a year. Located on George Dieter and with flexible hours for those with day jobs, this place is pretty convenient for most folks who don't live on the westside. I showed up about 20 minutes before my appointment to fill out a few forms, which the gentlemen behind the counter had prepared for me ahead of time. The lobby was clean, festive, and comfortable! My appointment started right on time! The technician was super friendly and helpful and ensured I was comfortable throughout the entire process. I really appreciated the headphones that were set to a local radio station. If you've ever had an MRI with your head and shoulders in the machine, you understand what I mean. read more

I went to the clinic THREE TIMES for an MRI and never got it. The first time I went no one told me that I was supposed to bring my spinal stimulator remote with me and that I was supposed to fast for at least three hours before my MRI. The second time I tried to have my MRI done my spinal stimulator was malfunctioning (so technically that wasn't their fault) but the third time I tried to have my MRI done they couldn't figure out how to put my spinal stimulator in MRI mode. I went to DOI for am MRI two years ago and whoever was there at that time had no problems at all with putting my spinal stimulator on MRI mode. read more

I have an appointment later today at the DOI on the east side. I accidentally went in the morning thinking it was in the morning which is when they told me that it was actually this evening. I received a text from them informing me of the amount I had to pay. I called them and asked if I could pay half as I didn't have the full amount (the new year started and the deductible began again). The lady who answered said I would have to be rescheduled since I was under insurance and I would need to pay the full amount today. So I asked if she was denying care since I couldn't pay the full amount. She said no, she was rescheduling me until I could pay the full amount. I said I could come in and pay half. They chose instead to cancel me instead of billing me for the remainder after I paid half. I'm on a fixed retirement income and could pay the rest over time but they said no. read more

The reason i gave it a five was the staff is young but they're energetic they're trying to pay attention to everybody they're trying to ensure everybody is taking care of. The nursing staff in the back at a house running the equipment is also young but full of life and they treated me with respect they didn't look down upon me. First time visiting for scheduled MRI. Receptionist acknowledged me upon entering. Another receptionist saw I was on crutches and brought me the forms to fill out which was very thoughtful and considerate. Technicians were welcoming and helpful. The only recommendation I can think of is to consider automatic entrance doors for disabled people. I noticed half the patients were physically disabled. read more

Honestly I have not ever had an issue. Everyone I have encountered were pleasant. I go yearly since 2018.

Had gone to them before for my mammograms in the months of Dec. I started to receive Medicare, so my previous insurance was cancelled. They still would not accept me because my mammogram date was a few days before the anniversary date of the previous one. I had explained to them I now had Medicare and they would not even call them to verify benefits. They continued to state I could not have it done and would not even listen to me when they were told I had a new Insurance. My doctor was upset and so was I. I had to call Medicare myself and was told I was allowed to have that mammogram. I did their job. They were very rude and quick to cut you off. I am now going somewhere else, and what a difference. I feel for any other senior and Medicare Patient. Medicare will be notified about this issue. read more

First of all I want to mention it's been snowing in El Paso so the weather and the driving conditions are bad for our city. My mom who is an elderly person with joint problems had an appointment at 8:20 AM. I had to get my mom out of her house by 7:30AM and because of the weather and the traffic we got to the appointment 4 minutes late. I was signing in at the front by 8:24. Corina the receptionist told me the appointment had already been cancelled because we were late and that we would have to wait till 10:00AM since they had to reschedule the Appointment. When I called and spoke to the office manager MS Gaby Garcia she told me they had previous complaints like mine but that the policy said you had to arrive early or ur appointment gets cancelled. I had to just cancel the appointment. My mom who had diabetes and dementia was felling sick and we just could not wait another 2 hours to get seen when we had an appointment. I just don't agree with the way this company does their customer service and just wanted to make sure I gave a review so people know who they are doing business with. I will never be back to this place and will take my business somewhere else. read more

Update -- Ok, their medical service is great. But as an update: I had some problems with billing. I am to blame for missing bills which I thought were bills from another provider that I already paid. However, I never got a call. Even when I went to the office another time for diagnostics, and I discussed my (mistaken) bill situation the staff didn't tell me that I hadn't paid yet. When I finally found out my bills were not all paid, and I called the office, the staff informed me that my bills were already sent to a third party collection agency. When I called this agency they basically did not want to tell me how I could pay my bill, and kept harassing me about some 'prize' I supposedly won. When I finally did get a backdated letter from the agency notifying me of the amount due, I sent in a check for payment. The agency refused to cash my check, most likely because they want to keep the bill unpaid for as long as possible so they can collect extra fees. Anyway, the collection agency is a separate company from the diagnostic medical office. However, I still have a complaint about the diagnostics office because 1. they didn't try to call or email me about an unpaid bill and 2. they are working with a fraudulent collection agency. read more

I had a scheduled elbow MRI. I was no greeted or even acknowledged when I entered. When I was called back I was never asked the safety questions before entering the MRI room, I saw a stack of blankets on the floor. I asked the technician if she had wiped the place I was going to lay down in. She became upset and was very rude. I told her I was leaving. read more

As soon as I walked into the office I was greeted by two very nice front desk employees. They gave me the exact instructions on how to proceed for my CT scan for the following day. My CT scan went extremely smooth and the report was back to me within 3 hours. The report was very detailed and articulate. I would highly recommend this place for imagining in El Paso. Nice people. Amazing service. But if a Hispanic girl with glasses and super curly hair tries to put in your IV, run away and find someone else to do it. She gave me the most painful blown vein after inserting the IV in and out repeatedly. She also mentioned she wasn't actually good at doing it. On the other hand, the lady who actually ended up putting in my IV correctly and doing my MRI was a sweetheart and really professional. read more

I will NEVER do business with Diagnostic Outpatient and neither should you. I found a mass under my right nipple and immediately scheduled an appointment with my oncologist. He scheduled an ultrasound same day. Diagnostic Outpatient Imaging told me that they would have the results in 3 days. Day 3 came and no results.... Day 4 and no results Day 5 and no results. It so happens that the person who reads the results is out on vacation. It gets even better -- they didn't disclose that he was on vacation. I inadvertently overheard an employee discuss it. They were lying to all their customers. I would have gotten my ultrasound somewhere else would I have known this. read more

I really don't like rating medical providers because their success or failure may be more my fault than theirs. - However I will focus on the customer service rather than the end result. I came to Diagnostic Outpatient imaging on referral by my dermatologist for a CT scan of a large benign tumor on my thigh. Yeah we're pretty sure it is benign after 9 different doctors have examined it over an 8 year period. Its a residual from surgery and everyone says its harmless-just ugly. We're exploring the best way to remove it. Ok enough of that. The staff at DOI is super efficient, professional and unbelievably friendly. They got me in and out very quickly an made me very comfortable every step of the way through the procedure. I don't expect to go back unless referred by another doctor and then it would be due to something adverse. If you need their services you will be pleasantly taken care of. And if you never go there thank your lucky stars. read more

This is a second rate place. I was half way through an hour long MRI and the machine just stopped working. I had already been there for 3.5 hours. I think they have had problems with the machine in the past. No respect for me or my time. read more

The staff was very friendly. However - I didn't like the fact that the sign in sheet was visible to anybody that came in (HIPAA), and I could hear telephone calls being made to patients, with detailed information. But, other than that it was a friendly environment. read more

While imaging and other test may be state of the art, the center is far behind in being able to access your personal test results. They do not have a patient portal and you must hold forever to reach an actual person to see if your test results are available yet. Then you must make a second trip to the facility to get a hard copy of the results. This is far behind even the hospitals and doctor offices in the area. This is the only place I have had test that do not provide a patient portal. And their phone service is horrible, having to wait long periods to reach an attendant and often getting hung up on and have to go through calling again. An informed patient always gets a hard copy of test results for their records or an electronic copy, that is only prudent today. read more
