Very insisting staff. Because of prior experience I have to go to a location with paperwork in hand to make an appointment . Waited almost 3 weeks for an appointment. I was called for rememinder to get there...get changed and left in the room a few min...normally they say come out when you're dressed to be told they cant perform mri of my brain because they dont have the machine. Mind you I had this same service provided 3 weeks ago. As someone with chronic illness and it took all my energy to get out of bed and drive 25 minutes. This is very unacceptable. The place was fully staffed and everyone just stood there clueless. As this is not my first rodeo with desert imaging. I do believe them to racial profiling. Something needs to be done!!!. read more

This place is horrible I had a 5:10pm appointment for an echocardiogram I arrived at 5 PM was informed that the person that does the echocardiogram was not here yet and they had no idea when she was gonna arrive. I then realize that there was also people ahead of me that had an earlier appointment that had been waiting for nearly an hour already before I arrived and the person that does the echocardiogram had never arrived. We literally sat waiting until about 6:30 PM when finally the girl that does the echocardiogram finally arrived to make it worse me and another person were there for echocardiogram because of chemotherapy so we had to have them done a women walks in at 6:20 and checks her son in they give her the same story that the person that has the echocardiograms had not arrived yet and that it may be a little while the person tells them that her son is hyper. I then hear the lady at the counter whisper she will put him in front of everyone else that had already been waiting over two hours and that's exactly what they did once the girl finally arrived they let the women with the so called hyper son go first they had only been there 20 minutes in front of ppl that had been there for hours. I also heard the staff talking and apparently the girl that does the echocardiogram Does it quite often shows up late very often. This is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. People are here because they need things to have to wait two and three hours because someone doesn't come to work on time is insane money and co-pays were taken immediately and then we had to sit and wait for hours to be seen. Absolutely incompetent staff! My husband asked for an appt for a n MRI. He specifically stated he did not want a late appt. They scheduled him an appt for 9 . we waited over an hour only to be told that appt was for 9 pm! Why on earth didn't they tell him that when he checked in??? the front desk clerk said they would squeeze him in but after 1 hour and 20 minutes of waiting with no assurance they would get him in we cancelled and left. I wish my husband had checked the horrible reviews of this place before scheduling an MRzi here!! read more

My dad came in for X rays and staff up front are absolutely nice and appreciative the staff doing X rays are absolutely unprofessional and very rude and disrespectful. I would suggest not to come to this place at all they do not care about you as a person all they want to do is take your money so again please do not come here if you want the respect and care you deserve read more

It bothers me how medical providers, all have the same process - overbook us to make sure they maximize their profits (overpriced services) and in case of cancellations they still don't lose out. In exchange for us sacrificing our entire days waiting. They set appointments at 7:30am but you don't actually get taken care of until closer to 9am. If you book here, expect to wait a while unless you're extremely lucky. I've been forced to come here a few times and it's always the same. Terrible service. I arrived 10 minutes ahead of my 10 AM appointment. I completed the paperwork and made my co-pay. I waited one hour before I decided to leave. I approached the front desk and advised of the terrible service, requested a refund of my copay, I was asked if I wanted to reschedule and I said NO. I was told they were "backed up" well in medicine the only way you get backed up is if you overbook your appointments. Again, terrible service go somewhere else read more

Horrible experience. I have been here before several times and never had an issue. I won't go into depth on everything that happened. And this review is being written since Joe the manager never got back to me to rectify this situation. First off while waiting to get an MRI all the techs were standing around talking bad about one particular tech and stating how they are not comfortable using certain injector machine in front of patients. They were also cussing up a storm. Second I was not handled properly by HIPPA and OSHA standards one particular scenario I will not put in here due to the nature of what was done. While laying on the machine they did a practice run with a new injector machine didn't go as planned everything spilled all over my arm, the male tech then proceeded to remove my IV and reinsert it in another part of my arm without my knowledge and did it without gloves. My vein since the machine did not work properly or like they stated in their Convo they were not comfortable using ruptured and the contrast traveled outside of my vein. I could feel it all. After the MRI machine stopped my IV was yanked out of my arm once again by the male tech with no gloves and blood splattered all over the machine instead of taking me back to the chair to remove my IV. As soon as I was walking out the door another lady was being brought in. When did they have time to disinfect everything correctly? She was in the door as I walked out. These are just a few issues that occured . I recommend going to UMC or DOI. I have MRI's done every year since I am a high risk breast cancer patient and I have never experienced anything like I did at this location. This is a concern to me for myself and others especially when bodily fluids are involved and no gloves being used at all. read more

I honestly thought I was going to have to give this Desert Imaging location 1 or 2 stars. I don't remember her name but...the lady who was scheduling my appointment over the phone was extremely rude. I didn't appreciate her tone of voice. I had a couple of other questions about the appointment. It was like pulling teeth asking her. Ugh! I called back because I thought of something else. Nobody returned my call. I figured it wouldn't be returned but oh well I tried. These are the reasons why I'm giving this location 4 stars. However... My appointment went better than I thought it would. All of the staff in the front was nice, helpful and professional. They answered all of my questions. I even forgot my doctor's orders at home so I was freaking out! Luckily they already had my orders from my doctor. I was SO relieved! Lol. I freaked out because the lady on the phone said I had to have them or else they couldn't help me. The staff that was helping me with the procedure were super nice and helpful. The best staff member was Keith. His instructions were clear and to the point. He was really patient and kind. He also had great bedside manners. I have one more appointment at another location. Their staff has been kind over the phone. I hope I have the same experience in person. I would come back to this location if I had to. read more

On the 16 of January 2024, my wife had an appointment to get a chest/pelvic/full body bone scans, ordered by her Oncologist a month ago. We got to the Lee Trevino Desert Imaging clinic as scheduled. My wife had 2 of the 3 scans done and was told that the full body bone scan was cancelled (by them after realizing that somebody messed and did not have the machine needed for the bone scan full body) ) and scan had to be done at another clinic. Really? After one month no one checked to see if this scan was scheduled for the proper location. This is their responsibility, don't they have a clue as to what services they offer at their specific location. These people are dealing with people's lives, and this is the answer I got from the staff after the fact. Management has serious issues, whoever is in charge should be fired. Now my wife will not have the scans ordered by her oncologist for his appointment (after waiting for Dessert Imaging appointment for one month!) which is scheduled for the 22nd of January 2024. Guess what, we made the 22nd appointment after waiting for almost 2 months to see the Oncologist, he could not download the results of the 2 scans that were done a week prior, so we wasted 2 months of waiting because of the incompetence of this business. My wife is feeling sicker by the day and in constant pain and under narcotic drugs. This is total disregard and is cruel, these people should be sue for malpractice. How can a doctor do his/her job without the results needed. they claim on their web portal that doctors will have results within 2 days after tests are done, after a week the results still not there, we wasted our time, they have wasted my wife's precious time with their incompetence. I would like to see whoever is responsible pro pertly penalized for his or her lack of skills on managing the scheduling of desperately needed tests specially by a cancer patient. This is totally unacceptable and a shameful reflection on the entire medical field. UPDATE, Now they are no longer giving the reports and CD to their customers, instead they are charging the customers for the reports/tests/ etc... The insurance paid for these reports and they belong to the patients, the doctors have to pay them a fee also, how a company can double charge for something that belongs to the patients? GREED? I'm pretty sure they are in violation of some law(s). Getting 86 YO mom into building you get no help; they tell you they can't help. There is a short ramp to push up about 4 ft high. Not sure it is ADA compliant, still no help. No orderlies so you do the lifting, like when in the restroom. Once into treatment area it gets better. You must sign a form to enter MRI room or just watch. Not really the place if patient is not mobile. read more

We visited this location yesterday 1/18/2023 and waited maybe 20m minutes after our appt. time. Eileen and Stephanie were wonderful. I went to the Westside location. I needed X-Rays for my doctor in Austin. Everyone in that front office was friendly, outgoing and efficient. Xayla was a standout...on top of the situation and helpful. This experience disgusted me. I showed up about ten minutes early to check in for my appointment, knowing that they had preauthorized my insurance over the phone. I filled out a piece of paper and sat down right at my appointment time. The office was visibly dirty and old, there were spots on the floor, dirt and dead bugs on the waiting room benches, and trash in the window sills. Ew. Medical facilities SHOULD NOT BE GROSS. I was here for an anatomical mid pregnancy ultrasound, and was asked to show up with a full bladder (which is absurd at this stage in pregnancy, but whatever), and sat with my husband and my toddler for an HOUR. I finally lost my patience and emptied my bladder because I was seconds from wetting myself having waited so damned long to be seen. I finally get into the room, and the tech is rude as hell, gets snotty that my bladder is empty (which apparently inconveniences her somehow), JAMS the ultrasound transducer into my pelvis hard enough to make me tear up, leaves the room after dumping an ungodly amount of ultrasound goo all over me to go chat with her manager about something trivial and stupid, and barely even attempted to include us in anything she was seeing on the screen. She printed us a couple shitty, grainy, barely discernible images, and 15 minutes after we started, she was apparently finished. I have a two year old, and when I had my scan with him (in Colorado, where there's some freakin civilization), the tech spent half an hour with us showing us everything and making sure we got pictures that SHOWED US our child. It's not impossible to treat people right, this Desert Imaging place is just apparently incapable of it. I'll never come anywhere near this disgusting establishment again, and I would recommend that anyone considering coming here SHOULD NOT. I left here in tears. read more

I have been to this place three times in the past year for Radiology studies. I find the staff at the front desk to be very rude at the East and West locations. The MRI Tech cut my shoulder on the last visit when she shoved the MRI wedges into my shoulder. She seemed upset about something and took it out on the patient. I will be looking for another facility for my next MRI. Such horrible service read more

They actually see you within minutes of ur appointment time. The techs are very professional. Its hard finding good, caring and on time medical help. I hope this place continues to be a great place. DISGUSTED with this place!!! My 73 year old mother took my 75 year old stepfather to get an MRI today because she believes he had a stroke. Unable to walk, my mom had to wheel him in the room. The technician proceeds to tell my mother she has to lift him and place my stepfather on the table. My mother has osteoporosis in her shoulders and should NEVER do any kind of heavy lifting. The technician then tells her no one could help her so she has to do the lifting if she wants anything done. My stepfather is 40lb or 50lbs heavier than my mother. It took everything in my mother's power to lift him up and put him onto that table. She even prayed to god to give her strength! This place is a disgrace! The workers here are extremely rude! Do not waste your money and find anywhere but here to get any type of imaging done! She will NEVER go here again and I will tell everyone I know of my mother's awful experience! read more
