Exceptional care during a stressful time. I needed both screening and diagnostic ultrasounds and mammograms--twice. The first two were done elsewhere, but this last set had to be scheduled at the very last minute before surgery. I was anxious, pressed for time, and truly needed these appointments a week earlier. D.I. stepped in and made it happen, getting me in the very next day. That alone was a relief, but what stood out even more was the kindness I experienced from every person I encountered. I don't have everyone's names, but Valerie at the front desk deserves special recognition--your warmth, patience, and willingness to help made a difficult moment feel manageable. The team in the back was just as wonderful. They were flexible with changing orders, respectful, and incredibly efficient. They saved me valuable time and helped keep my out‑of‑pocket costs reasonable, which I deeply appreciate. Why would you charge for a copy of the MRI? Disclose information before people go use you....

Was called yesterday and told I needed a stat ultrasound of my breast after mammogram. I get here today at 4:30pm which was scheduled yesterday and reception is giving me attitude, looking everywhere for the order- though I was told yesterday that Radiologist and PCP both recommended an ultrasound and they had orders (how else would they schedule me?). They attempted to send me away with a very nonchalant attitude, saying "well we don't have the right order"- they kept my ID so upon sending family in to retrieve it- they said they made a mistake and could do the ultrasound after all? When I had my mammogram done- lady also seemed bothered that I was there, asked me my age and made comments about me being too young to have a mammogram. Also tried to claim she "had the wrong order" to likely send me away. I'm 35 with a family history as well as positive for BRCA1/2. Never coming here again read more

We have now been sitting in the waiting room for one hour which is 45 minutes after our appointment. They need to staff appropriately to handle the patient volume or improve their efficiency. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because they were able to schedule the appointment within two weeks whereas the other alternative provider couldn't schedule the appointment for another month. read more

The staff at this location are very courteous and helpful. They were very nice in helping me out with my questions. The technician for my MRI was so nice and friendly. He helped me out with my claustrophobia. My experience there was great for my MRI. read more

they always have been amazing, but this time exceeded expectations , my husband had a problem with his pcp careless staff who didn't care to send the additional information they needed for his test, and until we went to the clinic to let them know that that got that request they got it the very same day and they went all the way to make sure my husband got his preauth the day of his appointment. I was told my appt was set with the same payment I had on file from my last appointment on the Eastside- need to have an MRI done for doctors orders and the appointment was made- when I arrived - the young lady up front did not what she was doing nor did she have all the information to make the payment. - made me wait almost 1 hour / before they got everything they needed. The card was good - but she didn't have her Merchant ID- or Company Merchant ID? How does a place of business not have it? Why did they tell you you're good and they have everything they need- but you arrive and they are disorganized? - Horrible Guest service - never again. - $800 + Payment that they made seem very difficult to process - they should be embarrassed. read more

We were given an appointment and arrived 20 minutes early. So they have a rule that if you're 15 minutes late, they will cancel your appointment. Front office attendants talking to each other and then on their phones. We were waiting over an hour for an appointment. So our total wait time to get in and out was 2.5 hours!!!! It was also hot in waiting room. They kept losing stars every 20 minutes. No updates from front office, no communication as waited. I think offices need to start training staff on how to communicate with people. If you don't communicate, you might as well just put robots or kiosks in place of their seats and we could just check ourselves in and out like Quest Diagnostics has in their front office. No "hello", no "have a nice day", no "thank you", no customer service. I heard people in the waiting room nervous about procedures and stressed out. It would've been nice to have some relaxing music or at least some water so that we could at least be in a relaxed and comfortable environment. Especially when these procedures are billed for $1000 or more. read more

Mammogram are always uncomfortable and I have gad some absolutely horrible ones. My last two were at desert imaging and what a difference. The women doing the Mammograms are exceptional, caring, and understanding. I never want to go elsewhere again. read more

Fraud or incompetence? Close down this Little Shop of Horrors! In Oct-2024 @ Castellano location they overcharged my co-pay despite me showing employee fee schedule. They somehow kept my credit card info and processed a fraudulent transaction on cc for this appt in Feb-2025. I submitted a fraud referral to the cc and they credited the acct. In May-2025, for a separate CT scan i needed, I physically walked into Castellano location to make appt. Employee scanned-imaged the M.D. order in front of me and made appt. I showed up to the Castellano location on 5-23-25 for appt and employee stated they didn't have the MD order info. I asked what they did with the record of the one they imaged and kept 2 weeks prior and employee and manager said "I don't know". I questioned staff and manager on the slipshod treatment of mine and other patient's medical records and they offered no explanation or assurance in their ability to secure patient medical files. This place needs to be shut down immediately until their office staff and manager are replaced. The facility licensure needs to be reviewed and suspended to protect other El Pasoans until the operations is managed lawfully and ethically. With this level of "incompetence", as a Medicare and Medicaid provider, it needs to come to the attention of State and Federal credentialing and regulatory entities- possibly law enforcement. read more

I went to the Castellano location for a MRI. My insurance deductibles were met on 11/30/23, so any medical services, procedures, and test were covered at 100%. The receptionist told me that I still had to pay the $500 deductible because the facility needed to get paid. I explained to her that I spoke with my insurance company and someone from Desert Imaging's billing department the day before the procedure and was assured everything was covered at 100%. I thought everything was good to go but that was not the case when I arrived. I have never paid $500 for a MRI (with and without contrast). The most I have paid is $100. They are billing insurance companies to maximize the cost so they profit at the patients' expense. I will never go back to this facility. The receptionist was incompetent and unwilling to help! read more

This place is the best. They are very helpful, courteous and professional. Doctors' visits can be difficult because of my brother, who has dementia. But the professionals at Desert Imaging are so kind and understanding, they offer every assistance needed! Lilly performed the xray, and did a wonderful job of giving instructions, describing the procedure, and putting me at ease. Samantha inserted the IV almost painlessly. It amazed me, because she is quite young! She was confident, professional, gentle, and oh yes, almost painless. (It bears repeating!) Kudos to you, kiddo! read more

what has happened to customer service here? takes forever to get appointment - takes forever to get results. today showed up and they said they have no doctor orders - they were sent in!!!!!!!! why don't they call on a more timely basis to get info and not waste my time. have had numerous tests here and lack or training or compassion is lacking. what has happened!!!! read more

On the 16 of January 2024, my wife had an appointment to get a chest/pelvic/full body bone scans, ordered by her Oncologist a month ago. We got to the Lee Trevino Desert Imaging clinic as scheduled. My wife had 2 of the 3 scans done and was told that the full body bone scan was cancelled (by them after realizing that somebody messed and did not have the machine needed for the bone scan full body) ) and scan had to be done at another clinic. Really? After one month no one checked to see if this scan was scheduled for the proper location. This is their responsibility, don't they have a clue as to what services they offer at their specific location. These people are dealing with people's lives, and this is the answer I got from the staff after the fact. Management has serious issues, whoever is in charge should be fired. Now my wife will not have the scans ordered by her oncologist for his appointment (after waiting for Dessert Imaging appointment for one month!) which is scheduled for the 22nd of January 2024. Guess what, we made the 22nd appointment after waiting for almost 2 months to see the Oncologist, he could not download the results of the 2 scans that were done a week prior, so we wasted 2 months of waiting because of the incompetence of this business. My wife is feeling sicker by the day and in constant pain and under narcotic drugs. This is total disregard and is cruel, these people should be sue for malpractice. How can a doctor do his/her job without the results needed. they claim on their web portal that doctors will have results within 2 days after tests are done, after a week the results still not there, we wasted our time, they have wasted my wife's precious time with their incompetence. I would like to see whoever is responsible pro pertly penalized for his or her lack of skills on managing the scheduling of desperately needed tests specially by a cancer patient. This is totally unacceptable and a shameful reflection on the entire medical field. UPDATE, Now they are no longer giving the reports and CD to their customers, instead they are charging the customers for the reports/tests/ etc... The insurance paid for these reports and they belong to the patients, the doctors have to pay them a fee also, how a company can double charge for something that belongs to the patients? GREED? I'm pretty sure they are in violation of some law(s). Please share this review and if you find yourself in this same situation,spread the word, we must stop the abuse from Corporate America! UPDATE: I have waited for a reply to my emails, asking them why they are charging for results when the insurance have already paid them for the tests. I have not received a reply as of yet and I think they are just hiding the facts, now patients can not get their results unless they pay for them again! I got a reply a while back about them not posting the results for download and this is what I got from them "We are unable to locate your lab results" Really? All my wife's imaging records should be stored in their servers, I retired a a Network Guru, all they need is the DOB and a name to pull the records, they can't find the records, what a joke, and is not funny! read more

I would steer clear of this place. It seems poorly managed whether that's unintentional or not. Either way it's not good for patients or there staff. I went to great lengths to be sure my service was covered with a waived deductible ( called my insurance prior, discussed with their billing department and checked my insurance app). And yet I still showed up to be told I had to pay a deductible that I do not. I was able to pay it and still make ends meet, but I'm a medical provider myself and I work with patients who would have to make the difficult decision between feeding their family or getting the healthcare they need in this scenario. I saw reviews similar to this before going but it was one of the only places in-network with my insurance. I can see this benefiting the company when they are working with people who don't understand how their insurance works. If you are part of healthcare you have a moral obligation to do better. I won't be referring anyone to desert imaging. I feel bad for the staff that has to work for such a badly run company as they were good people. Posting what my insurance app says about my in-network deductible for imaging because I need this to be clear that I'm not misunderstanding my insurance, they are. The staff seem genuinely interested in you as an individual, not just another person walking in the door. The facilities are very clean and inviting. Unbelievably incompetent and not truthful about how they operate. We have had 3 appointments at 3 different locations for a CT Scan for my 89 Year old mother. All 3 were changed because of equipment failure. They did not call us on 2 of them, so we showed up for nothing. I can't tell you how upset and disappointed we are. I tried calling a Supervisor and evidently was given a bogus number. I will tell everyone I know and all her Doctors the horrible experience we have had dealing with this Company. read more
