There is a regional office here that never responds to me. After FINALLY being able to reach her she made me register AGAIN. You only get a CM for 3 months!! She doesn't respond to me BUT I happened to reach her the other day by phone. On 3/31/21 I was to get a Holter heart monitor put on. I have IVCD and am exhausted, dizzy and can't stand for more than 15 minutes. I can't work right now. She's supposed to find a list of IN-NETWORK HEART MONITORS with Molina Marketplace. I complained to Texas Department of Insurance. Monica Lozano, 877-665-4622 ext202504 from Molina, responded to the complaint 6/14/21. She's not in SA either. She called ONE cardiologist office, told me Rueben said they have 2 out of network monitors and they get approved anyway. I called Rueben after that and he said they DON'T always get approved. I told her keep looking. Since then Monica, and the other day Carina, have been argumentative, interrupting me all the time. They are badgering me to go to this one doctor Monica found. Monica actually made an appointment in my name to see that doctor. I've had to tell the doctor's office 3x now I didn't make that appointment. My health deteriorates daily now to where even my jaw is tired so it's hard to eat. 3 and 1/2 MONTHS AND THEY CAN'T FIND A LIST OF IN-NETWORK HEART MONITORS!!!! I told Monica to put me on the line with her supervisor and she would not do it.

Generally you do not have to wait long after arriving for your appointment and the staff are courteous. They have an in-house lab at both the west side and the east side locations which is very convenient. I have been going to the Eastside office monthly for infusion therapy and Nurse Melissa, who administers the infusion therapy is very kind, friendly, compassionate and helpful with questions as well as in scheduling future appointments. She makes the visits pleasant and is attentive to the patients' needs; I really appreciate her caring spirit, since some people may feel stressed in getting stuck with needles or getting infusion therapy. I am thankful for Dr. Chabra and his staff, the care I receive and the convenient locations on both west and east sides of El Paso. They are poorly staffed and woefully understaffed which leads to poor patient care, longer stays, and post care complications. I waited an additional 30 minutes before receiving a vague update regarding the status of my procedure, with no estimated time of completion provided. Positive aspects include a very clean environment, courteous and knowledgeable staff, and a painless procedure. The report was provided immediately after the procedure, which was appreciated. However, I would strongly recommend improvements in maintaining patient confidentiality. Personal information was inquired about while in the hallway, and the curtains did not sufficiently conceal sensitive information being discussed. Additionally, preliminary findings were communicated to me by a nurse without privacy, which is concerning given the sensitive nature of the information involved. It would be beneficial to establish procedures that ensure privacy during these exchanges. Furthermore, implementing a system for periodically checking on waiting patients to provide tentative updates would improve overall patient experience and help prevent feelings of being forgotten.

I'm also going to share a bit about my issues as a woman. Let's just say I've gone to a few doctors for a polycystic ovary and endometriosis for about 10 or 11 years now. I have to say Dr. Son at Texas Tech is wonderful. I think I finally found a trustworthy and smart doctor after all of these years. She really wants to help me and isn't out to get money. She is really knowledgeable. Anyway... Two doctors I've gone to have recommended surgery so this has been done twice for me. However, Dr. Son feels like that should be a last resort. Where has she been all of my life? Dr. Son is a specialist for endometriosis and other women's issues. She's in Obstetrics/Gynecology. If you or someone you know has this, I'd suggest seeing her or another specialist at Texas Tech. They know a lot about it. Honestly, I prefer seeing a female doctor over a male. Yes, men go to school for many years and know a lot but women just seem to understand other women better. That's the best way I can explain it. Nothing against male doctors but I just feel more comfortable with female doctors nowadays. Texas Tech is super organized, too which I appreciated. They called me twice to remind me of my appointment. They also texted me to remind and send me the information to fill out rather than waiting until I got there. There was a bit of a wait but it was all worth it. Dr. Son is personable and has good bedside manners. That's sort of a rarity these days. I felt at ease talking to her about my issues. Texas Tech is a great place to go to for the uninsured and those who want to save money. They have clinics all over the city so you aren't limited to just their Alberta location. They also do virtual appointments. They offer a discount on co-pays and medication, along with other services. You have to apply for this discount by emailing them some forms. Prior to a loved one's appointment, I contacted the office to inform them that the patient was experiencing severe depression and acute suicidal ideation. As the legal Power of Attorney, I explicitly requested that the clinical team handle this information discreetly for the patient's own safety. Instead, upon arrival, Dr. Shetty immediately informed the patient that I had called ahead. Despite being presented with clear evidence of an immediate mental health crisis, the clinic refused admission, failed to contact emergency services or law enforcement to initiate a wellness hold, and allowed a severely unstable individual to simply walk out the door. The lack of crisis intervention, complete disregard for actionable safety warnings, and failure to exercise a basic duty of care at this facility are deeply alarming. If you or a loved one are facing a critical mental health situation, I strongly advise looking elsewhere for competent, safe medical care.
