Late night UberEats munchies led me to order from this place. Food preparation and delivery were quick. I wasn't impressed with the pan con bistec served with stale potato sticks and blood red tomato slices smoothered into a wet cuban bread... not so yummy. I ordered 2 croquetas that tasted fried in old grease. I also ordered a ham and cheese empanada and a guayaba con queso empanada that were not fully cooked. The only item I finished was the arroz con leche which was not bad at all. Finally the expresso was nothing to write about. Located near the 68 street and 24 ave this 24 hour Cuban eatery saves people in the west edge of Hialeah the drive to chicos to try something similar. This restaraunt is pure conveniance with a great menu with 95% of items under 10$ serving Cuban favorites like Vaca Frita, Churrasco, Tilapia, Bistec a La Plancha, media noche, pan con bistec and more. They also serve breakfast 5 am to 11 am with specials starting at 3.99. They serve also pastelitos, fresh juices and milk shakes. We visited here because our niece and her friends raved about how good the food was. We ordered the Cuban Frita, Cuban Sandwich, grilled chicken breast with rice, and Pan Con Lechón. I'm giving this restaurant only because the vaca frita was good. I have been a customer of día y noche for two years now but today was my last day buying food from you guys. I ordered ropa vieja palomilla steak and mango shake , banana shake The palomilla steak was overcooked and when I said overcooked I mean burnt. The banana shake I had to throw it away because when we received the order the cup was half way and it was basically water and milk I tried and it didn't taste like banana or anything just watered milk. Happened upon this little spot as I stopped for a quick lunch. Ordered the Pan con Bistec. Delicious! Many diners just slap a piece of meat on the bread. This sandwich was tasty, well marinated, and they had no problems making it the way I like it! Really great small place open 24 hours. Prefer eating here than anywhere else if its past midnight. Their pan con bistec or pan con lechon is SO good. I have tried some of their daily specials which haven't always been my favorite but the prices are really good and it keeps me coming back. Always great service, the ladies who work there are attentive and nice. Definitely recommend. I come here at least once a week if not 3. Stick to the sandwiches if you're iffy about the daily specials. This place does not compare to Ihop, Dennys, Taco bell or Mcdonalds whether its at 3 AM or 12 pm the food comes out fresh almost always and is made with love. I have ordered several times from this place. Sometimes the food taste good and sometimes it doesn't. There's a lot of inconsistency in the way food is prepared. Also, and more alarming, the food started to cause stomach issues to everyone I gave the food to. I'm guessing the quality of the food is bad. I signed up for cantina but they put way more carbs than protein, so not worth the price. One time I ordered a Churrasco steak, A La Carte, and it was very small, not rolled and super hard, it looked like a different kind of meat cut, tenderized a little. After giving them a good try I had to stop going for good. My blood pressure started to be high which is something that never happens to me. My bowels were a mess too. I ordered Ubereats from here 3 times already. They have the best croquettas and beef empanadas. Tried the hot chocolate, normally not a fan of sweet but it delicious. Had the natural OJ, just the tight acid and sweet balance. Had the pan con bistec pretty standard not delicious but not bad- it was just right. What an incredible disappointment! Looking for Cuban food, I stumbled across this place as a nearby suggestion from YELP, and this is my impression of the place: Hole in a wall, in desperate need of renovation, and of a sanitation/friendly manager. Within my first 10 seconds inside, I concluded that sanitation in the kitchen (away from customers prying eyes) wasn't any better than that of the dinner area. Still, the hungry gambler that I am, decided to buy two empanadas (one beef, one chicken) to go. Halfway thru the first one, it was evident it was fried in old burnt oil, explaining why other customers complained of stomach issues after eating here, therefore I ended up tossing the remainder of this biological hazard in the nearest trash can.
