My family and I used to order form here weekly and it was truly like a reminiscing moment for us of our grandmas old cooking. But the last two times we have come we are so disgusted with the food. Our daughter's palomilla legitimately tasted and looked like lab grown engineered meat. There was no taste, color or consistency of in bistec de palomilla. It was so weird to see the this on the plate. Honestly. The chicken vaca frita is our family favorite. This was good. They put like an entire onion topped on top to hide the very small amount of chicken actually served. But taste and consistency were solid to their original serving. We are so saddened by the regression of this restaurant. This was always our favorite place to have a taste of home. I hope that management realizes that while I'm certain food costs are high - that quality and the experience of the customer matter too. Unfortunately we will be divorcing Casavana and going back to Las Vegas and Latin America.

Unfortunately, the service has been a huge disappointment the last two times I've visited. As you can see from my photo, the restaurant wasn't busy at all, so there really wasn't a reason for the delays. We sat at our table waiting for someone to take our order while our waitress continued helping other tables and never came to ours. It wasn't until I asked for our server that she finally came over to take our order. After that, we waited nearly 40 minutes for our food, and when it finally arrived, most of it was only semi-warm. The only dish that came out fresh and hot was the steak tostones, which were delicious. Everything else, including the other entrées and sides, was lukewarm and honestly disappointing. What makes this even more frustrating is that this wasn't my first experience like this. I had previously visited with a friend and received the same poor service and semi-cold food. I decided to give Yarumba another chance by coming back with my daughter, hoping the first visit had just been an off day. Sadly, nothing had changed. It seems like the staff spends more time talking amongst themselves than checking on customers or making sure food is coming out promptly. First things first...I found this place on a random Sunday morning, and was like heyyy this is great, why don't I go here for breakfast to have some Dominican breakfast...it was like 10am..come to find out they don't open until 11am. She takes forever to get to us, when she finally comes to our table, I decide to order a chimi that I've been wanting for a week...she says "sorry, we don't have chimis. The server recommends the yaroa, which for ppl who don't know what that is, is like street food...fries, cheese and meat...I would eat this after the club, not really for lunch.
