I recently returned to the Antelope Valley after 15 years so I had no idea which flooring company to reach out to. My situation was unique because there was a third party involved who would be paying the bill, which made things a bit more (a lot more) complicated! The "particular service" requested by the third party was what complicated matters. I requested estimates from DGS along with 3 other companies. And honestly the other companies were some serious competitors, but DGS came out on top because of their pricing, and because their customer service was top notch; all of their team members were polite and professional. KC (great guy) came out to my home for the initial estimate with a wealth of knowledge, as well as samples on hand. He explained the process (prep to install) and the best options based on my subfloor. When he left I felt highly informed and educated enough on the materials to make better floor choices. Throughout the process I worked predominantly with Elijah. He provided a professional yet personal approach that made me feel comfortable communicating my needs with DGS. Elijah always made me feel welcomed when I would pop up at the show room/ store to show and compare samples I'd seen from other places. Elijah had a vast knowledge of the products as well as the warranty's associated, and he even gave me insight about the products (carpet, linoleum, hardwood, tile, and laminate) from the installers prospective. Numerous changes were made throughout the process by the third party, but the team was flexible and met the timeline they were provided. Elijah made sure the lines of communication remained open, and when a problem arose he presented options that were within the allotted budget, pleasing to the eye, and a quality product. The installation process was just as smooth. The installers were on time, did a fabulous job of making the seams match up and the previously unleveled flooring feel and look leveled. I'm truly more pleased that I thought I would be thanks to Elijah and the guys over at DGS. Elijah (a true Angel) kept the process simple and on track. He was so patient and professional at times that would have brought out the worst in anyone (due to the third party). No matter the request by the third party, Elijah came up with solutions to make sure the third party and I were pleased. I would highly recommend DGS. Short: We selected DGS to replace carpet in our master bedroom and walk in closet. They were super accommodating during the selection process and timely on the initial install, though we had a couple of hiccups post installation. I'd use them again, and would recommend them as a company that dealt with us honestly. ** Long: Originally we wanted full hardwood flooring. None of the local companies installed hardwood, only manufactured planks. DGS agreed to look into it. However, they also concluded that it wasn't viable. Hardwood over concrete, even in the AV with low humidity, results in warping and cupping. I'm convinced that was the right call, and I appreciate that they didn't want to just do anything to make a buck. Instead they recommended an engineered product that incorporates a true a hardwood top that they were familiar with. Having had prior experiences with engineered flooring, we were concerned about getting a solid warranty. Researching their recommended manufacturer highlighted a couple of concerning reports, which I showed to DGS. Huge positive on them, they reached out to the manufacturer reps to get clarification and response. They were patient during this time and we ultimately went with their recommendation. Shoutout for Casey at DGS here, he put in the effort to get us there. Great communication pre install. We provided an upfront deposit. They ordered that same day, and kept us appraised of projected delivery. We were given an install date and the team showed up on time. They completed the install in one day (they said it might take 2-3 days depending on the slab, but ours was in pretty good shape at the start). There was one short plank right at the entrance that ended up having a much darker color variation than all the planks around it. It was within the variance we expected for natural wood, but the size and location made it look off - as if it was a patch. To be fully upfront, the installers asked if my wife was happy with the result that day. She thought that maybe she was just being picky and didn't point it out. However, I had the same exact impression when I saw it for the first time. The next day I contacted DGS about potentially changing it out. A few days later, one of the transition pieces also ended up being loose and would make a popping sound when stepped or pushed on. DGS agreed to replacing the off plank and fixing the transition. This is where we ended up with a couple hiccups. DGS contacted us with a date for the installer to come back out, and said they would let us know if it would be sooner. We let them know that date would work for us. No call, no show. I reached out a few days after to ask when their next window to come back out would be. A new date was set, and we had a scheduled time confirmed that week and they did come back out then. No call no shows are frustrating, but this is also a small local owned business. They had another big job with multiple units at the same time, and they don't have an army of installers. It ended up being an inconvenience and part of why we dropped below 5 stars. The other reason was that the patched plank ended up not sitting flush. The installer mentioned as he was finishing up and putting weights on the plank that it might end up popping up a little bit. That didn't come up as a potential in any previous discussion, and we might not have done it had that been communicated. We left the weight on that piece an extra day just in case, but we still ended up with a 1 mm raised edge on 2 faces. You can see it and feel it. So we ended up trading one aesthetic blemish with another. At the time of this review it it's been a few months since the install. We wanted to wait a bit to see if any issues cropped up, especially as we transitioned from cold to hot weather. I can say definitively that there are no issues. Looks the same as it did from install. Would we use DGS again? Yea, I think we would. The many positives well outweighed the few minor issues we had. They dealt with us fairly, and I think they were honest - and I'd propose that is worth giving them your business. read more

We hired DGS Flooring to remove 1700 sq. Feet of Porcelain floor tile. Two guys showed up with small hand tools to do a large job. One worked and a helper. The job turned out fair. They left large areas on thin set that my tile man will have to deal with. Here in the problem they hit the bottom of my Oak Cabinets with the shank on their tool over 20 times. Dents and split Oak. The cabinets are now permanently damaged! I was going have them refinished in natural color. Any repair will show! Now we have to go with painted cabinets. I called to complain and a man showed up to sand out the dents. Not a cabinet man. Do not use! Reply to DSG. You men used "hammer drills and your man showed up to sand cabinets. Your people hit the bottom of the cabinets with the shank of hammer drills. Sorry but I was there! read more

Danny is the dude. I found DGS flooring through Siri. Yup. Asked her to find the best flooring company in town and heck she did ! I drove to DGS without making an appointment. Despite the showroom window clearly saying "visits by appointment only" and the time being 6pm or so, Danny invited me inside. I could see he was very busy, in the thick of paperwork. Despite all this, even after I mentioned I was only casually browsing, he took his time to explain, educate me about different options and such. I have had absolutely zero experience / knowledge on flooring. We had just purchased our first home and we were passively considering the demolition of existing carpet, replacing it with hardwood. Eventually we decided to get the flooring done and tasked Danny to do our kitchen countertops too. I shopped around at Lowe's and also with a few other contractors. Danny's professionalism, expertise and fair quote eclipsed the competition. We had a real tight budget. I was honest about this from the beginning and Danny was not once, irritated by me trying to save pennies during each step forward. Not only did he accommodate our limited budget, he even went ahead and suggested a few work arounds to get things done without breaking the bank. We even gave him a rather unfair ultimatum (not intentionally, but due to various circumstances) that we needed all work done in 2-3 days, which required him/ his team to work through the weekend. He delivered on time ! Danny's word is set in stone and for this reason alone, this company will go places. Danny is extremely patient, well experienced, wise, and a fearless leader. Watching him work with his team is quite a feat in itself. Danny is always hands on. He leads by example and not by preaching, which I admire a lot. We had a few hiccups during the work. Every single time, Danny would show up and fix the issues in person instead of waiting for his team to correct their mistakes. Now the most important aspect, why you should work with Danny. After sales support. I am a perfectionist to my own peril. After all work was completed I texted Danny about two minor "issues". Once I only asked for his recommendation for a product so I could take care of it myself. Oh no. He insisted he will take care of it himself. On both these occasions, months after completing the work, he came with a warm smile and fixed up what any other contractor simply wouldn't. I had considered using Lowe's/ Home Depot for the work and I am so so so glad I went with Danny. Not only did he beat the price, the customer service is simply out of this world. Even Amazon's customer care won't get any close to the standards of DGS's customer service. And let's not forget that we all need small, amazing companies like DGS flooring around. Needless to say, we remain impressed by Danny's work and will highly recommend Danny and DGS flooring. Pictures of (his artwork of a) flooring / countertops to follow. Your workers do not know how to do tile whatsoever. Multiple people have commented on how horrible of a job this was. I finally have my perfect flooring thanks to Danny and his team at DGS flooring, as you can see in my photos it's been a nightmare dealing with the floors I had. When I first put laminated floors I thought I knew what I was doing and what I wanted,unfortunately I wish I knew the consequences with having dark floors and what to use and not use for cleaning.
