I purchased a Ford F250 from TexasCarsDirect back in September. I flew in from Chicago to pick up…read morethe truck. Upon arriving and meeting with David Urby, I took the truck for a test drive. There was some minor issues but the most glaring was the check engine light. David said the issues would be taken care of, go to lunch and come back in a couple of hours. He called me and said they needed a part that would not be there until Monday. David paid for my flight home and said the truck would be shipped to me. I received the truck late the next week. When driving from where I received the truck, the check engine light came on. I notified him of this issue and he said to have it fixed locally and he would reimburse me. It has been several months and many texts and calls and still no reimbursement. Up until this point, David lived up to his word but I am extremely disappointed to have to write a partial negative review due to not receiving this promised reimbursement. In addition, the check engine issue took two times to resolve, the second requiring an additional cost which I decided to absorb thinking I would get the promised reimbursement. In closing, David did live up to his word on everything until this reimbursement issue so I can't give a 5 star review due to this

We had a clear and valid offer in-hand from CarMax, and they refused to honor their $500 over guarantee. 2. Calling them is a disorganized mess. "This will just take 15 minutes" turned into almost an hour. Avoid.

I debated on writing this, but feel like if I can help a single parent such as myself out there, or…read moreany parent for that matter, then it will be worth it. I was reluctant to purchase from out of state, not knowing anything about the mechanics of a vehicle. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take someone with me to look at the car. I chose this dealership b/c of the reviews stating that the staff was friendly and it was a quick/easy transaction. I felt good about it, so my daughter and I made the trip from AR to TX to purchase her first car. The staff was extremely friendly. We test drove the car, seemed fine. We drove the car home and it seemed fine other than the headlights not working properly. Small things, and we brushed it off. We purchased this car on a Saturday and the following Monday, the entire engine blew in it. I haven't even made one payment on the car yet. So now I'm out the purchase price as well as the almost $10,000 it has cost me to have a new engine put in it, putting me in extreme financial debt. I could have purchased a newer car for that price. The dealership offered to rebuild it at their cost IF I would ship it back to them and then back to me. I guess I'm here to say, have someone go with you who works on cars and have them pull the oil pan and do a compression check (not hard tasks) to see if the engine is bad before you purchase the vehicle. For $26,000, I definitely did not get my monies worth. I also asked for them to come down on their asking price b/c the car blue booked for almost $2,000 less than their asking price. They said the car was at fair value and wouldn't budge over a couple of hundred dollars. Then added a "misc" fee in there to make up the difference they thought they lost. Bummer of a deal. I hope this helps someone out there.

Don't trust the five-star reviews -- the owner repeatedly pressures customers in the shop to leave…read morethem. I brought my car in on Sept 30, 2025 to check if brake pads needed replacement. The owner immediately insisted I replace all rotors and pads (front and back) and rushed to order parts without giving me any options. He quoted me ~$960, calling it a "medium price" and the "best deal." Later, I discovered that the same kind of parts cost only about $410 at AutoZone--less than half of what I was charged. I was very polite when I asked about this difference, and I even said I would accept the extremely high price since the parts had already been ordered (but I didn't see any receipt for them). Despite that, the owner became hostile, refused to show me receipts, and told me he would add $200 more just because I questioned the price. Worst of all, he threatened to tow my car away if I don't pay the unreasonably high price and continued to raise questions--even though I told him I needed the car to pick up my child from school. This was not only unprofessional, but also coercive and intimidating. No customer should be treated this way. The lack of transparency, inflated pricing, retaliatory surcharge, and threats make this one of the worst experiences I've ever had with an auto repair shop. REPLY TO OWNER'S RESPONS: Basis of Complaint: 1) Failure to disclose or offer reasonable, less costly alternatives. 2) Misrepresentation of pricing as "medium range" when it was substantially inflated. 3) Refusal to provide receipts or documentation. 4) Imposition of a retaliatory $200 surcharge. 5) Threatening to tow my car to force compliance. 6) Sharing our personal information publicly without permission Requested Resolution: I request that the business: 1) Provide complete documentation and receipts for all parts. 2) Adjust charges to reflect fair market value. 3) Remove the $200 surcharge. 4) Cease use of threats or intimidation against customers 5) Delete the customer's personal information from the public posts.

1 Star -- Shady Dealership, Beware…read more I had a terrible experience here. They pressured me into leaving a deposit to "hold" a car, even though no paperwork was signed and I made it clear I hadn't made a final decision. I came back to test drive the cars, and they were in horrible condition -- they smelled bad, were dirty inside, and had obvious cosmetic damage that was never mentioned. The photos online were completely misleading. I decided not to move forward with the purchase, and when I asked for my deposit back, they refused. No contract, no agreement -- just a shady tactic to keep money without providing anything in return. I've contacted my lawyer, and I'm prepared to take legal action if this isn't resolved properly. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. If this is how they treat potential buyers, imagine how they treat customers after they've taken your money.

I kept wondering why the dealer kept pressuring me over and over again to hurry up and leave a review. About 10 days later, the engine begins to tick very noticeably and 2 days after that the timing chain can be heard rattling. None of which could be detected at the time of purchase. What's even worse is that I was hesitant to buy just because its 11k of hard-earned money, but the owner reassured me that there were no issues with this truck. to make matters worse, the AC stopped working and when I took it a mechanic, they stated that the repair would cost over 2,000!!! because the leak is in the Evaporator coil and that have to remove the entire dash!! I contacted the owner who told me he'd check with his mechanic, but he was out of town for 10 days. Then he contacted me and said that the mechanic won't do the repair! Really, your mechanic who works for you, won't do the repair?? BEWARE of this Dealer. I regret ever stopping there. Read the reviews like I did. the cars look good on the outside. He plays innocent, but he's a scammer. Haven't heard from him since. BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE Don't say I didn't tell you
