Scratched custom cabinets during install. Then tried to sharpie it all with a black marker. The cabinets are brown!

DO NOT USE THEM!!! As you can tell I don't review often BUT due to this company I am doing it now to save others from this horrible company. They don't even deserve 1 star. Calyx was the only employee there that was kind & helpful, thank you we appreciate YOU. This is my second review for DFW Stoneworks, and I'm deeply disappointed to report that the issues with our installation remain unresolved. Today is Friday, and the owner had committed to showing up to finish the job. It's now nearly 10 a.m., and no one has arrived or communicated with my husband. To make matters worse, we discovered that during yesterday's installation, holes for the kitchen sink valves and our children's vanity faucets were not drilled--an oversight that should never happen in a professional installation. I also want to express how deeply upset I am about the rectangle sinks that were installed in our kids' bathrooms. I specifically requested oval sinks, but I accepted the change kindly--only to find that DFW Stoneworks didn't even provide drains for the rectangle sinks they chose. To make it worse, the sinks were scratched and dinged upon installation. The sinks were also undermounted, despite the fact that both Ryan and the installer knew they were supposed to be top mounted. This was not only against our request, but blatantly ignored -- and that is not acceptable. It gets worse. I caught the granite installers on camera using a Sharpie to mark over scratches they made on our custom-painted cabinets. I confronted the installer on video and told him not to do that, not to hide the damage. After escalating the issue via email to the entire company, I asked that if the message was not for Ryan directly, someone needed to get it in front of him immediately. When Caleb finally spoke to Ryan, Ryan responded with arrogance and dismissiveness, saying we could just "wash off the Sharpie." That's not the point. These are custom-painted cabinets that they damaged, and now we are left dealing with the consequences. Ryan now has until Wednesday to provide a reasonable credit to Caleb for the damage, the unprofessional conduct, and the continued delays. And let me be very clear: this is not about one bad day or one mistake. Ryan himself admitted that my previous review caused a "big hit" to his company. But I will continue to speak up until this job is done right, because clearly, our experience mirrors that of many other customers over the years. Do your research: check reviews on Google and the BBB. You'll see the same patterns we've experienced -- poor communication, delays, installation issues, and a complete lack of accountability. The reviews are awful! I take no joy in writing this. I simply want the truth to be heard. I cannot in good conscience recommend DFW Stoneworks to anyone. From the top down, this company has demonstrated a disturbing lack of professionalism and care. Ryan (owner) I've never been so disgusted & disappointed in a contractor in my life & we've had MANY. I also hope you keep your word & call my husband Wednesday with that amount to credit. You are a pompous & awful owner. And how dare you insult Calyx, the only employee who gave a damn!

While they have lovely stone that's basically where the good ends. Their pricing is steep, and then dealing with their staff AFTER you purchase and pay for them to fabricate the stone for you is a nightmare. It was next to impossible to get ahold of anyone, get questions answered, etc BUT now we're 4 months out and our countertops have seams showing, uneven caulking, etc and we haven't been able to get a call back in 4 days to get someone to come out and fix. I would save your money and go somewhere where the service matches the quality and price tag of the stone you buy.

Damaged cabinet trim. These countertops were a beautiful bright white with light brown grain running through. Totally different after seal

I wish there were negative stars for this company! This company promises much and delivers little! It's like dealing with a used car salesmane that sells you a car, delivers it without wheels or seats and then upcharges you for them! Ryan is a smooth-talking salesman for sure. But his follow up is next to non-existent. He promised us to have our countertops in +/- 2 weeks after signing the paperwork and handing over the 5-figure check. 2 MONTHS later we finally got them. He promised a crew that does high-end work at businesses such as "Del Friscos, DFW, multi-millon dollar residences" (his words). The crew we got pulled up in a well-used pickup, did very poor quality work, didn't stay on the cardboard walkways we put down to protect our brand new wood floors and couldn't communicate with us. They were lethargic and unprofessional...No doubt a reflection of their leader. The counter tops were 1/4" short on the front side of the counters and the top side of the backsplashes which left sheetrock repair to do. Ryan's answer? "I don't measure to the size of the existing countertop. I measure to the cabinets." WHY WOULD ANYONE DO THAT?! I've spoken with 5 other companies and they either laughed or told me they couldn't believe it. The day Ryan showed up to measure the countertops, he spent most of his time talking with my wife and telling her what a lousy job the previous people did, cutting down their product, the quality of their work, the materials they used, etc. Extremely unprofessional! He pretty much insisted there was only one sealer we could use for the countertops (not included which we found out after the fact. $800!). He never explained that the sealer would turn the stone a different color completely! The girl he sent out to do the sealer had obviously never done this work or hadn't done it very long. My wife rounded the corner of the island to find her bending over the paperwork reading how to apply the sealer! We let it dry the longest length of time advised and they are still smudged and have a film. It's been a week since application. This is the company and guy you see on the bad contractor TV shows that make you cringe! We came in contact with the company at the fair last year. If you see, hear or get anything from DFW Stoneworks...RUN!!!! RUN FAST AND AS FAR AS YOU CAN AWAY FROM THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He set up an appt. within days, arrived on time, listened to my project. Tuesday reviewed project (it's a small job but to us it's major undertaking). I figured it would take weeks (big box said). NO. It was done in less than a week - and when we found an issue - he had it fixed before I was finished telling him about it. The installation of counters (in a world of uneven things) - I don't know where to begin - care was taken to demo, and install new counters and you cannot tell there was work done. I'm so impressed with Allan and his company - on time (ahead of schedule), on budget, flexible to what can afford, professional, dealt with difficulties. You can definitely count on Allan to get things done - top notch. He effectively worked around imperfections and produced perfection. Can't thank or recommend him enough. One of the best contractors I've ever worked with. Thank you so much.

They more than delivered on that vision. They were detail focused, the quality of their work was exceptional and there were no hidden budget surprises. We had a bad experience with a contractor at our last house and we have heard so many horror stories about people having to fire their contractors and contractors taking the $$ and not showing up Epic Woodwork sets the standard for how contractors should be. They were amazing throughout the entire process.

I was in the market for a contactor and actually narrowed down who I was going to use however I saw the pictures online of Pepe's work and immediately had to reach out prior to him even starting on my neighbors house (his work is THAT good!!) I sent an inquiry and Pepe came out and evaluated our master bathroom and I knew immediately he was the one to do the job. Pepe has such a creative mind and will go above and beyond to make sure he provides you quality work without breaking the bank. This was my first reno so I was anxious and nervous but I knew I was in good hands. I was having a hard time narrowing down tile for our shower and Pepe helped me see the bathroom I envisioned by taking me and my husband to a showroom and seeing different tiles he had in mind for our bathroom. I was SOLD! Throughout the entire process Pepe was very responsive via text message, FaceTime and phone calls. I truly believe I have not only gained a contractor whom I want my entire house to be reno-ed by, but also a friend. Pepe takes pride in his work and will make sure to deliver results that his customers are happy with. I cannot recommend Pepe enough and the quality of his work in his pictures does not do enough justice. Thank you Pepe and team for going above and beyond and giving us the dream bathroom beyond our imagination!
