I reached out to Mark to build a custom mudroom and cabinetry to conceal my washer and dryer, and I couldn't be happier with the results. His craftsmanship is outstanding, and the finished project exceeded my expectations. Throughout the entire process, Mark was professional, responsive, and kept me informed every step of the way. He was also a pleasure to work with--friendly, reliable, and genuinely committed to delivering high-quality work. I highly recommend Mark and will absolutely be using him again for future woodworking projects. read more

My house was built in the mid-90's when big box TV's were the latest technology. When we moved in the house, I put a DLP TV in the big box entertainment center. Fast forward almost 18 years the big box entertainment center could only handle a small flat screen TV. I asked Mark to build me an entertainment center that could handle a 65" inch TV. Mark did a great job building an entertainment center that could accomplish the mission! read more

Never called to discuss project. Then want to charge me a consultation fee. I showed him want I needed done.

Mark provided top notch service and quality. From the beginning of planning to delivery and setup. My custom whiskey cabinet is awesome! read more

It's been over a year since Mark came to install our laundry room countertop. From the beginning the process was exceptional with Christina for the estimate and Mark and his team. We wanted a specific design and color and Mark made sure to do everything just as we dreamed and sent photos of the entire process. There is no doubt about Mark's experience and good work at a reasonable price. I recommend them 100% and would work with them again in the future. Thank you! read more

Did a wonderful job to help make more space in our closet. Would definitely recommend!

I reached out regarding a couple of dining room chairs that I needed repaired, never received any response back. Perhaps it wasn't worth the owner's time? Regardless, I won't be doing business with them at this point or at any point in the future. I'm very adamant about writing reviews, whether good service or bad service. I definitely think this review is warranted. If you all need someone to repair furniture, please drop me a line. I'll be happy to give you the name and phone number of the person I found who is extremely communicative and honest. read more

Mark Mattson upgraded our fireplace mantle and it's beautiful and everything I wanted. Not seen in the pic, but there is a top hidden compartment for a power strip so lights and decoration can be plugged in, plus a side drawer to hide lighters and matches. We went from a small off-centered mantle to a more substantial statement piece perfect for our fireplace, and just in time for Christmas! Great work! read more

Mark and Dane built some bench seats for our breakfast room /TV room as well as some sliding barn doors for our garage. We were very pleased with how it all came out and would definitely recommend Mark for any of your trim/finished carpentry needs. Frank B read more

They did such a great job with the board and batten statement wall. My design was from an online interior decorating platform. Mark planned out the design and even noticed some mistakes that the interior decorator had made. He was able to correct them for a great finished product. I absolutely love it. They immediately came in, went to work, and didn't waste time. Super great guys and I highly recommend them. Side note: They even noticed that I had broken my wooden souvenirs from Ecuador. I didn't even point it out. They were so kind and glued them back together for me. Highly recommend them!!! read more

This guy came out. Charged $180 for consulting fee. Said would send a quote. Never did. Followed up with him and still never sent.

My table was too short fort stools and too tall for regular chairs. They came on time on the day they said they were coming to fix it. I am very pleased with the results. I am very happy I found him and I recommend him one hundred percent. Thank you so much for a job well done. read more

The photo is not the best but Mark did a fantastic job restoring these 65-year-old + rockers. They had been badly neglected over the years and many areas were rotted. Mark and the team took them apart piece by piece and created replacement parts that matched the existing parts perfectly. We will use Mark again! read more

Mark did an excellent job putting cedar shingles on my house, WOW it looks like I bought a new house. He was professional and really great to work with. Mark did an excellent job helping me with my "She Shed" project.....I contacted NUMEROUS contractors and none of them would return a call or email. After months of searching through thumbtack and various platforms, I found Matt on Yelp. He was quick to respond and courteous throughout the entire process....we even changed the scope on him a couple of times (yes we paid for the changes) and he was happy to oblige. So often contractors are not flexible or willing to take on additional projects or tasks.....Matt installed shiplap on all 4 walls of our cabin, he also built an entire loft bed platform for us and painted everything when he was finished! I appreciate all of his hard work, his integrity, honesty and fair pricing. I highly recommend. read more

Although Mark was not able to help me with my project, I still want to recommend him for his customer service. He messaged me back promptly and even took the time to dig into the situation and see if he can assist me. He went above and beyond by even showing up to look at the project in person before turning it down. All of this was done with no charge, even if I didn't get any work done, I will contact him for any future projects because I trust him! read more

Mark built a deck, overhang and custom cabinet for an outdoor TV. We had been waiting for a long time to get the right professional to complete the job. Going forward, I won't look anywhere else for woodwork if Mark is available! read more

Mark goes above and beyond in his work. I needed a repair on my stairwell to fix some damage and I initially reached out to several companies for estimates. My wife and I bought this table it was not special, but after much thought to change the tabletop and incorporate it into our house, it became special. At least to me, lol. A table leg became damaged, and I searched for a dozen people who might do this work for us. Half did not return my phone calls or web inquiries and for many others, I just did not feel good about their rapport. After reading Mark Mattson's website, he and his team were on my shortlist. Then I met him, and he was honest about the timeline he could repair, and I could see some of his current work in the background which was impressive. The work returned to me was quality. If you want someone that does quality work and has integrity, look to him and his team to do your next project. read more

When I was looking through Yelp for someone to build a custom bookcase to fit a specific need, I got 2 responses on Yelp. One was basically "Call me if you're interested." The second one was from Matt. It was specific, gave me the cost of an in-person consultation and told me that, should we select him for our project how the consultation fee would be applied to the final cost. At our consultation, he took pictures and, measured to the nth degree. Within 48 hours he sent me a picture of what the finished project would look like. He sent us an invoice requiring half of the cost up front for supplies. The finished product was delivered and installed within 2 weeks of our payment. The finished product exceeds what we expected. It looks as if it has always been a part of our home. I do not have enough good things to say about Matt's professionalism as well as his woodworking skills. You will not go wrong in hiring this extremely professional man and his company. read more

This is an update to my first review. Mark Mattson reached out to me and we scheduled a time (May 10th) for him to pick up my dining room table for refinishing. I also requested he put me in line with the rest of his customers and I'd be happy. When he picked up the table I would have sworn he said due to his existing work load it would be about a month before the table would be finished. I was OK with this as well since the table had been in dire need of refinishing for ~20 years and I didn't think a few more weeks would make that big a difference. :) So imagine my surprise when Mark called me this morning while I was out running errands to say my table was finished and he could drop it off today. When he arrived the finished product was like new. I have pictures from when the table was new so it is easy to compare. :) He did such an outstanding job he took with him the next piece of furniture needing refinished. One completed, four more to go. Attached pics of table and bench before and after. Two thumbs up!! read more

After being left high and dry by another installer, Mark was able to come out for a quick job of fitting a built-in microwave into a cubby that was just a tad too small. He came early in the morning on a day that I suspect was a personal day so that we could have this ready for Christmas. He did a great job and was fun to chat with as well. Can't thank you enough, Mark! Merry Christmas! read more

they were so friendly and professional. They refinished my grandmother's old rocking chair to perfection.

Mark came by and had impeccable customer service skills and professionalism. He put a lot of care into the work he completed to provide a quality product. He was patient with all my questions and remained engaged through the entire process - from buying supplies, talking through the process, showing us .. etc. When i had almost given up on my office vision, he came to my rescue! He literally built an end to end (long wall to wall) custom floating desk for me! It was important to me that it was sleek yet could withstand a lot of weight. I also needed it on a low slanted wall (I mean practical and pretty are a rare combo, am I right?). It took longer than originally quoted, for us that wasn't a concern and he was so apologetic but we really didn't mind - we felt bad cause it was over the weekend. We were so impressed with the final outcome and constant communication. The desk was wrapped in white vinyl, it's so pretty- I spill coffee, soil, and craft stuff on it daily and no stains! It holds two computers, tons of craft supplies, an extra monitor and a ton of plants and doesn't budge. I've been waiting to add this review cause I wanted to share a pic of the desk once I was finished with the office - but we've ran into some snags ordering pieces for the rest of the office with covid. I will update this review later. Hats off to Mark. A hardworking, polite and kind guy. Highly recommend- can't wait to hire him again! read more

I called Mark when the support beam on my wooden daybed was splitting and he answered immediately. I sent him over pictures and measurements of the beam and was able to set an appointment to get a new one made immediately. He was able to replicate the beam exactly and stain the wood the same color. I'm very happy because I originally thought I would have to get rid of the entire bed. Thank you Mark! read more

Mark is a miracle worker! The center support beam of my (expensive) bed frame from a large national chain snapped in half as I was sleeping, leaving me with a bed that was unusable. Using glue, support wood, and a bit of magic on his part, Mark was able to repair the problem so that the beam is back where it needs to be and stronger than when I bought it several years ago. His problem solving, planning, and woodworking skills were much appreciated and at a very reasonable cost. He's local and a vet too! read more

After accidentally spilling acetone on my landlord's antique dining room table, I knew that I needed a talented professional to fix it. The old table had been in his family for generations, and what it lacked in overall aesthetics, it made up for in emotional significance. After reaching out to several companies and receiving some outrageous quotes, I found Mark. His excellent response time, fair pricing, and flexibility in working with a crazy schedule, made him the best possible candidate. He was able to sand down the top surface of the table and re-stain it, matching the stripped blotch to the original color. I was quite pleased with the final results, and I highly recommend Mark if you're in need of some top-notch craftsmanship. read more

We are renovating our master bathroom. As part of the renovation, we added a pocket door. The lock I picked out, unknowingly to me, had a tricky mortise cut-out to fit in the pocket door. Our contractor performing the job was hesitant to do the work, fearful he would ruin the door. We took the door to Mark; he fit us into his scheduled work quickly and excellently completed the work. The door is now installed and works perfectly. We have two other projects we are discussing with Mark. read more

My sofa and loveseat were horribly damaged in my move from Hawaii. The military required a quote for repair before they would reimburse me even though it would've been cheeper to replace them.
