I was referred to Pepe and his team (David, Luis, Mark, Cesar) by my neighbor who had scheduled to do reno work for her house. I was in the market for a contactor and actually narrowed down who I was going to use however I saw the pictures online of Pepe's work and immediately had to reach out prior to him even starting on my neighbors house (his work is THAT good!!) If I could give these guys 10 stars I would! I have to admit I was dreading a kitchen renovation - I have a 30 year old house and so if I was going to renovate it would have to be everything all at one time. Additionally, I was afraid of what we would find when we starting tearing out cabinets to the studs and how a contractor would handle those curve balls. So I did a ton of research and had a handful of quotes. You never really know what you are going to get - but I ultimately landed on Epic because of the reviews and the ease of dealing with the owner Pepe. There were so many things I liked about working with Pepe and his Epic Wood Work team. First off - it was no pressure and no nickel and diming - the quote was the quote. Pepe also had a ton of great suggestions for upgrading the kitchen - new usb outlets, new sink, moving the island. I didn't think any of the frills were necessary - and he never pushed or pressured. But quite frankly I eventually came to agree and I implemented every suggestion he had The craftsman are excellent - the cabinets are solid wood - excellent quality. The demo went great - even when we removed the soffits and found plumbing and gas lines that needed to be re-piped. I had new cabinets and countertops, new flooring and backsplash done. Each of the craftsman responsible for each section were outstanding. Couldn't ask for higher quality workmanship. The punch list at the end of the project was completed quickly and to the letter. And finally, the schedule was adhered to really well - a little over 5 weeks from demo to fully complete. There was no overpromising and under-delivering. He was realistic about how long the lead times were, and how long each part of the process would take. Pepe was also very accessible - if I had questions or thoughts I could always reach out and discuss with him. No text, call or email went unanswered. Renovations are a huge deal - I strongly recommend Epic Wood Work - I will use them again for sure! read more

When choosing a team to help with a remodel, it can sometimes be daunting and difficult to know you're choosing the right team. Luckily, we were able to find Pepe and Epic Wood Work. His team is communicative, reliable, and will do whatever it takes to get the job done on time and correctly. We had a tight timeline due to our wedding in early November and we wanted to have 60+ people over the day after. This only allowed for about a month from demo to completion, including taking out structural beams and needing an engineer to create a new support beam. They supported us through the whole process - giving us recommendations for where to pick tile, counters, appliances, hardware, etc. We could not be happier with how it turned out and that we were able to find people like Pepe and his team. He helped select the countertop as well. I wasn't able to meet him to select granite for our kitchen counters and he did a video chat. Talk about going the extra mile. I was able to view and select the material without being there. He's easy to talk to, has a great customer service attitude, and open to suggestions. He lets you know if something won't work (think - certain materials in high humidity won't mix) and explains other options. Not many contractors look out for your best interest and budget. One of his guys actually asked me to rent a dumpster for them because he didn't have a social security card or ID. Don't use these guys....better off getting IKEA.
