I grew up in Cleveland Heights and always hold that suburb in high esteem. After seeing a movie at the Cedar Lee Theatre, we ventured across Lee Road with a purpose. Time to get some eats, and only Dewey's Pizza would do. It's bright and welcoming inside the restaurant with booths and tables to handle the crowd. We were there in mid-afternoon, so smaller servings called to us. We shared the small house salad and a small red pizza with green peppers and mushrooms. The portions were generous. We even took home some slices. Thanks to Lashay for the friendly service. So affordable! So delicious! When I say PIZZA, you say DEWEY'S!

Definitely on the expensive side. Around $20 per medium pizza. Not too salty, depth of flavor was good. Would come back to try the other pizzas.

Nice artisan pizza. High quality ingredients. The only thing that sucks is that Sweet Moses Ice Cream went out of business. That was a nice Detroit Street one two punch!

Came here with a party of four on a Saturday night, and they're able to see us promptly and take our orders quickly. The service here was great, with water coming out quickly, and the waiters being attentive. On the advice of the waiter, the four of us got two large 17 inch pizzas, which was a good amount if you're hungry, and we did have about half a pizza left over. We ordered the porky pig, which has fig and prosciutto, and is absolutely delicious. It's on the sweeter side, but we all really enjoyed it. The Socrates' revenge is a great veggie pizza, and the fresh tomatoes were a big hit with our group. Definitely recommend this place for an impromptu Saturday night dinner and unique and delicious pizzas.

This is technically my second time trying Dewey's Pizza as I had it at a party years ago and liked it. But this was my first time actually visiting the location myself and, boy oh boy, the parking situation is TERRIBLE! I really had to work to get this pizza. Was it worth it? Let's find out! I ordered a half and half of Porky Fig and Yukon Cornelius on an 11" pizza. It cost me $18.50 (YIKES!) and, even with an hour's heads up, it was ready about ten minutes after I arrived. Oh well, no big deal. Let's move on to taste. So from what I gather, this is a mix between thin and pan pizza style crust. The crust is pretty flat but this isn't 100% a thin crust pizza. I don't have a preference either way and liked the taste of the crust. Like I said, I got two different specialties on my 11" pizza. The Porky Fig was very creative! I enjoyed the sweetness of the fig jam underneath the cheese. I should have asked for it without the gorgonzola. If it didn't have the stinky cheese, it would have been perfect. Despite the stinky cheese, the Porky Fig was far and away the better of the two. The Yukon Cornelius pizza is Dewey's versiom of a loaded baked potato. But Angelo's in Lakewood does that combination better. Dewey's needed a lot more toppings than what I had on mine. Also, why did my pizza taste slightly of anchovies? It was super weird. Don't bother with Dewey's loaded potato pizza, honestly. I ate it all because I am a glutton for pizza, but I should have opted for a different specialty. Overall, the (mostly) tasty pizzas that took me out of my comfort zone, but the price is way WAY too high! $13-14 dollars would have been perfect. And if you can get someone ELSE to pick up the pizza for you, it'll make for a better experience.

Looking for a good pizza place in Cleveland close to CIM. Got good reviews so tried it. Good pizza with lots of toppings and cold beer. Friendly staff...would recommend!

We've heard amazing things about Dewey's Pizza and decided to try it out in the hopes that we would find our new favorite pizza place. Although I don't think Dewey's topped the list, I think what they do really well is bang for buck. This was an enormous pizza for quite cheap, and they did not skimp on the toppings. There is a window at the front where you can see the pizzas being made, which makes for an exciting experience for kids. The environment is casual, and very familial. Overall, this was a great pizza place and while it's not my favorite, I still really loved my time here!

Good wine selection and delicious pizza. Their toppings are great. I will love any place that lets me get goat cheese on my pizza. Besides the screaming children next to us, the waiters were very kind and the place had a good vibe.

Day one of Cleveland Pizza Week and decided that I would give Dewey's in Cleveland Heights a try on my way home from work. Called in an order for a to go pizza, got there a bit early. I paid and was told I would have to wait about 10 minutes, time to check out the kitchen as they make pizzas and just hang. About 15 minutes I asked what was going on and they went back to the kitchen and grabbed the pizza off the top of the oven where it had been sitting for a bit; not the best first impression. Got the Caprice pizza which is made with fresh garlic, olive oil, blistered tomatoes, fresh basil and fresh mozzarella. The pie features thin crust, a bit chewy instead of being crisp, but nice flavor. The garlic and olive oil has a nice aroma but was a bit mild to my taste, I would have preferred more powerful garlic. The cheese was nice with just a bit of bite and a slight saltiness. The highlight of the pie were the tomatoes, vibrant and a bit sweet providing the most flavor they could. Overall the pizza worked well as a whole with all of the elements coming together to make a nice symphony of flavor. Overall I was happy with Dewey's but it helped that I only had to pay $8 during Pizza Week for the pie; I am not sure if I will give them another try. They need to be really aware of when the pizza is ready and to get it out of the kitchen and to the customer.

Ready on time for pickup. House Salad was on point, but pizzas seemed pedestrian with not much of an Italian flare or taste.

Been to this locations many times in undergrad and stopped by recently on the way to the library nearby. Over the years, they have made their regular bowl size smaller, introduced a smaller bowl, then also changed the size of that. It seems now that the small and regular bowl is almost minimal difference in terms of what they are scooping, so if you already know the bowl is a lot for you, the smaller bowl may be more worth your money. For base, my go-to is mix of noodles and purple rice. Their noodles are made of sweet potato starch, so my base also happens to be a good gluten-free option. For hot toppings (black beans, curry chickpeas, bean sprouts, potatoes, and broccoli), you can ask for a total of 4, where "extra" of anything counts as 2 of that. So I get extra beans and extra potatoes, which counts as 4. My favorite 2 meats are their steak and korean BBQ. Well flavored, but again, on the saltier side. For cold toppings, they said they didn't have any carrots and I didn't inquire further if I had to wait for that or not, but that may have been due to me coming at opening. So you may be expected to wait if ordering at opening hour. Otherwise, the front staff were nice. It's pretty empty at opening for dining in. Side street parking there is difficult to get, but there is a lot behind it that is free for 30min (turn into E 115th to get there).

I would also like to say that I am very impressed by how vegan forward Cleveland is. Idk why I wasn't expecting it. I doni't even feel like I experience this shit in NY but maybe I am not going to the right places. Anyways, we sat at the bar and went to work ordering our beverages. It was early enough that I could benefit from more caffeine so I was pleased to see a coffee-esque cocktail with vodka. GF ordered the sangria. I embarrassed myself a lil by assuming the three pierogi could be mix and match which they cannot. We wanted the classic potato and cheese but also wanted to try one of the vegan ones so went with the sweet potato and black bean. I was further thrown for a loop when I was asked what sauces I want. Oh my god there are sauces to choose from?!? Did I even read the menu? The bartender threw out some options I couldn't argue with: sriracha something creamy maybe sour cream or mayo? and French onion which was intriguing. Both were SO good. The pierogi were also spectacular. They were HUGE and the filling was to die. Diamond in the rough.

A friend and I visited on a Thursday evening, the restaurant was small, quaint and cozy, with a steady stream of customers. There is a small bar. We were warmly greeted upon entering and immediately seated. Our server, Domenic, approached our table a short time later. He explained the menu, letting us know that bread and salad were included with our entrees. We proceeded to order cocktails, wine and a yummy pomegranate spritz. I ordered the chicken parmesan, my friend ordered the chicken marsala. Our salads and bread basket arrived quickly. The salad was generous, freshly made and tasty. The bread was fresh, served with a olive oil, infused with balsamic vinegar. Our entrees arrived just as we finished our salads, perfect timing. The chicken parmesan was prepared and plated nicely. The chicken was tender, seasoned, and topped with cheese and marinara, on top of penned pasta. The chicken was tasty. The pasta was a bit overcooked, for me. The marinara was a bit bland. I ate the chicken and skipped most of the pasta. My friend's Marsala was plated well, lots of mushrooms, but she commented that the entree was somewhat bland. The best part of the visit was our server, Domenic, he was attentive and friendly. Overall the meal was good, I would visit again, but this won't be my go-to Italian restaurant.
