Pakistani and Indian cuisine along Fraser street, Vancouver For my appetizer i got the beef samoza it was good but still nothing can beat the one from Surrey i used to order from a friend. For my main entree i ordered the Dewan grill combo this consist of lamb,Kabab,Chicken Kabab,Beef boti, chicken tikka serve on a sizzler.all entrees are serve with a choice of naan or rice i got the naan. I actually dont eat lamb and i specified it to the server, she said that she will add more beef instead but still it was served with lamb....well im in a rush and already hungry so i just set the lamb aside and brought home to my roommate. Good grilled items very tasty and with that green spicy sauce everything tasted perfect(excluding the lamb) For my dessert i had the Gulab jamun with ice cream....sweet and very sweet. Not bad. Another place that you bring home the smell of the foods in your clothing. Neat and small place, with friendly service. Parking here now is metered, but theres a lot few blocks away residential and they are free....well walking far is the name of the game. Affordable Accept cash, debit and credit if you love other kind of meat like goat you can find it here. I wanna try the biryani next time...

Thank god I found you (Goat Biryani), I was lost without you... Let me be frank with you: the city of Vancouver lacks good Indian food. So many places miss the mark. Not this place! A friend of mine brought me here, who heard about it from a friend of his, who probably heard about it from another friend. When you make proper, authentic food, people hear about it and they come. When you water down your food for the Western palate, you lose everything. This is real Indian/Pakistani food and it tastes great! Can't wait to eat here again. p.s. make sure you call ahead and go on a day that they make their big vat of Biriyani.

I was glad to find Mark's awesome review and other review got me coming here. It was a great experience. My sister and I went here on a rainy sunday afternoon for Indian food. Dewan E-Khass is a small Indian/ Pakistani restaurant on Fraser which has limited seating(there are 7 tables). Very quiet and clean restaurant I have to say. It was odd being served by Russian waitress at first, but she did a really good job. My water got refilled often without mentoning and she checked making sure we were doing okay. Therefore service was professional and fast. We got Mogo ($5.99), Chicken Curry($9.99) and Masala Chai($1.90) and they were all tasty and fresh. First, Mogo (cassava fries) was crispy and delicious. It was already seasoned a bit and enhanced even more flavour with chutney. Yum. Chicken Curry was so delicious. We ordered it as medium spicy and the Indian spices were so flavourful. It comes with rice or naan so we picked naan and couldn't stop dipping curry sauce to naan. Naan bread was unbelievably huge, soft and crispy. One of the perfect naan breads ever! Chai tea was also good. We were blown away by the service and food. I have to say it was a five star experience. The only downside would be the small seating spaces.

Update: they seem to have addressed my concerns about table cleanliness, consistency, and attentiveness. 4.5 stars. It's not a five because, well, it's no Cactus Club in terms of décor. --- The dishes I order are out-of-this-world, best-in-town, good. There are a few dishes that I didn't like. Notably, they have a bone-in chicken main dish--Chicken Karahi--that was basically all bone and no meat. Maybe that is normal; regardless, didn't like it. --- I recommend the Butter Chicken, the Eggplant Bartha, the Shashliks, The Grilled Chicken Wings, and the Dewan Grill Mix. --- Entrées come with rice or naan, your choice. Good parking on that stretch of Fraser. Sometimes they are understaffed. It can get uncomfortably crowded at times. Seats about 24. There are three bubble tea places (all good) on that block in case you're craving for drink desserts.

Love this place. I have been missing my spices since I left Ontario. I ordered the Nihari with rice, fantastic flavour, with great amount of heat. Definatly my favorite so far. Also ordered the Curry Chicken and Butter Chicken. Both were excellent. Both with lots of sauce, great tang in the Butter Chicken. Excellent flavours. Serving size for the price is excellent. I will definatly be back.

Great food authentic recipes, if you're visiting and looking for authentic and delicious indo/Pakistani food this one of many spots in this area. We tried the chicken Tilkka and butter chicken, all was great. Dining is a little small but people will go no matter where good food is serviced, and most importantly it's clean and service was good. We were even asked if we need to order more food before kitchen closed.

I ordered through doordash instead of goat karhi they gave me a terrible chicken biryani which I had to throw it away. Ultimately I lost $20. I was so hungry, hence I ordered food from you guys but now I had to order from another restaurant to have my food. End of the day, I spend $45 for one meal.

Forage in your fridge or pantry? BZZZZTT! Wrong! The right answer is to set out for a late night traffic-free drive and head straight to the aptly named Dosa Factory. Or, for the not-so-outgoing kind, order delivery via Uber Eats. Been there, done that! Foodie Factor: Each and every dish that we have had the pleasure of trying here has been delish, from the perfect Medhu Vada (the right level of crispy on the outside and tender on the inside), the oh-so-tasty Onion Rava Masala Dosa with Paruppu Podi (sprinkled generously with gun powder), the Gobhi Manchurian (so so good that it got me nostalgic!), the yummy goat biryani, the different flavorful curries, the spot-on green Coconut Chutney and Sambhar, to the refreshing Indian coffee. Top off the sumptuous meal with mukhwas or sugar-coated saunf (fennel seeds) when you visit the counter to pay the bill, and the entire end-to-end Desi meal experience is complete! Service with a Smile: What best complements the delicious food on offer here is the fantastic, friendly and prompt service, even at 1 AM! Hats off and kudos to Bhakti and co. for serving us hungry souls post-midnight, not just with yummy chow but also with their genuine smiles :) Ambiance & Vibe Check: Given the mostly Desi crowd at all hours from day to night, the babble of conversations, the quality cuisine being served, plus the ambiance and decor with larger-than-life frames containing snippets of India's culture and its monuments, it's perfectly reasonable to feel as is you've been transported to the country itself for the entirety of your visit! Talk about a holistic and immersive meal experience which is great for dates, group meetups, and even solo treats! Parking Pain or Perk: Parking along Kingsway during rush hours is no cakewalk, and the limited street parking makes it a tad bit challenging. Cue, one or more times of circling the block! If you do get lucky, rest assured that parallel parking to fit into a tight spot by the busy road will whet your appetite (though you might lose it in a jiffy if you make a dent on the street before getting to make one on the plate!) Bang for Your Bite (Value/ROI): Given the good portion sizes along with the quality of food and service, plus unlimited bottled water, you get a fair deal for the price you pay without feeling like you're splurging. Be mindful though that the EBTT syndrome (read, Eyes Bigger Than Tummy) will ensure that you end up ordering way more than you had planned to, so it's more likely than not that you will get an inflated bill with leftovers to take home. Clean-o-meter: The place is pretty neat, thanks to the attentive cleaning staff who are constantly on their toes, attending to plates and tables that warrant their attention. The restrooms were A-OK. All in all, my mother would approve, I think! Overall: Needless to say, I'll be back here soon, risking the EBTT and ensuing food coma, just to enjoy the food-induced high! Highly recommend! *BURP*

The waitress explained that it was a type of salty spinach. My husband heard her clearly but somehow I missed the word "salty" when she was speaking and so when I started eating my food I was quite surprised with how salty the dish was. It was a bit too salty for my taste, so I wasn't too crazy about this dish. Not something I'd order again. My husband on the other hand tried my dish and loved it! He said he would order it for himself the next time he comes to the restaurant. Our daughter's Mini Cheese Dosa was quite impressive. It looked more like a regular size Dosa than a "Mini" Dosa! While I wasn't too crazy about the Gongura filling in my Dosa, the rest of the Dosa was still excellent. Masala dosa, sambar, and parotta. Some of the best I've had! So I returned with a Friend a few nights ago to order a quick takeout (2X sambar, 2X parotta). We did have to wait 15 minutes which is great because you know you're getting fresh food. The sambar was quite a lot smaller than last time, as was the parotta. Still great quality. But disappointed my previous order made 2 meals when ordered through delivery app. When in person, portions were 1/2. Staff were very friendly and I believe the owner came up to us to chat. Nice! I still highly recommend! Apparently they have a weekend buffet as well, though the chafing stations I saw only held 12 various sized small to medium dishes. Would I order again? In a heartbeat! Would I question the portion sizes to the owner on my next visit? Absolutely!!! Why do I get 2X the portions when ordering through delivery app rather than in person? But still, I rank this the best sambar I've had in Vancouver (next to my own).
