This poorly ran company is just a broker and I made the mistake of thinking they were Marathon Movers who had amazing reviews. it started when I got my original quote to move from Seattle area to San Antonio. the original quote was for around $6800.00 than I get a call from this Derrick guy on a Saturday night around 7pm wanting to do a final walkthrough. Now mind you he called me and it was 11:00 pm his time and when we facetimed him our price went up another $3400.00. He was extremely rude and and clearly let you know this was inconvenience. we were told that the movers would be there on the 24th of August. It took us making numerous calls to get someone out there as our house closed on the 26th and we needed to be out. The company these guys contracted out with showed up in a Uhaul and loaded our stuff up on the 26th at 8pm they were finally out of our house And again our price went up another 3k. we have waited and called and it took us threatening this company that we were going to call the police and reported out things stolen as we have now been waiting for almost 7 weeks and finally our furniture came yesterday in pieces. so many items have been broken and our mattress was even ran over because there are tire tracks down the whole side. the Movers that showed up were actually contracted out by the movers who packed our house out in Seattle. when I kept calling this rep I forgot her name she actually laughed at me when I asked for a discount due to us having to wait for 7 weeks. Less than six months later I got a notice in the mail saying that my rent would be going up in the next month. Great integrity Fort Knox. Say whatever you have to in order to get the customer's business, knowing they'll sort of be stuck since they know it'll cost them a lot of money to move their things to another facility. You should be sued. What a scam.

Upon looking online for price comparison, I see that the same building has the same sized unit I am currently owning for $140 a month... So why am I paying $188 a month for the same unit? Who knows. Keep an eye on your monthly fees. I want to thank Lana from online customer service chat for helping me with the issue at hand. Their online and phone customer service has always been great. I just wish the prices and in the building personnel reflected it. Updated review Dec 2021: Just received an email notifying me my rent would go up from $125 to $160 per month for a 5x11 unit. Last year I had a problem with them raising my rent price multiple times during the year before I gave up and had to complain to get anyone to actually treat me like a decent human being. I really hope this isn't the case again. I find my self avoiding the front desk lady as she always seems to be in a nasty mood.

I do not usually write negative reviews because I don't want to affect someone's livelihood, however, the situation has become so bad that I feel I have no other choice. The problems started a few years ago when my unit was broken into. The lock had been replaced, my belongings were damaged and shockingly, someone had urinated on my items. When I reported this, management showed no concern - no apology, no assistance, and no offer of compensation. They wouldn't even remove the unauthorized lock for me and when I was trying to dispose of the items that had been damaged due to someone urinating on them, they gave me a hard time about throwing them out in the trash cans out front. Since then, things have only been going downhill. Initially, I chose this storage facility because of the security and condition of the property; the main area had been secured by roller doors, which could not be accessed without a code. After the roller doors opened, there was then a gate in place. The building was clean and in good condition, which is not the case now. The roller doors have been inoperable for at least three years, and the gates have been inoperable for at least a year - creating an unsecured facility where people can come and go at will. The lack of roller doors also allows pigeons to roost in the rafters. This has resulted in excessive droppings and feathers throughout the property including on the carts that are used to move belongings to and from your car, creating unsanitary conditions that you inevitably bring into your vehicle and home. It is disgusting. I raised these concerns in writing, but nothing was addressed. The office staff appeared indifferent, responding with rehearsed dismissive answers rather than showing any genuine effort to help or even basic empathy. When I advised them that I was going to close all of my units, there was no attempt to retain my business or address any of these issues which speaks volumes about how they value customers. Additionally, although this facility is in disarray, they continue to raise prices. The rent on the last unit I rented increased after three months.
