    Quinoa salad
    Marc L.

Got takeout as part of a group business order. I wanted a salad. I chose quinoa salad. Turns out that means a container of quinoa mixed with sliced almonds and cranberries. No salad. No lettuce. No vegetables. Just quinoa. I had to go get lunch from the Poke place next door. Funny and annoying.

A tasty cafe with sandwich, soup, and salad options that will all hit the spot! The prices are very high ($9 for a "large" soup and tiny baguette), but the flavors are good. Nice for a quick bite in between meetings!

Good food and service but there's flies all over the pastries. Doesn't seem sanitary.

    Popcorn

Overrated, dry, overly-priced sandwiches. The caramel popcorn they sell at the counter is stale and incredibly sticky. Couldn't eat it.

Very confusing but a nice selection of soups , salads and sandwiches. This is great if you just need an informal lunch without table service.

I am a sandwich LOVER. I can eat sandwiches for every meal of the day, including snacks. If you share my passion for delicious sandwiches, then you will love Devon & Blakely. All the sandwiches are pre-made and arranged behind a glass case so any unintentional drooling won't leave you with having to buy 20 sandwiches. You can have any of the sandwiches pressed if you prefer them warm. I went two days in a row. I ordered the prosciutto and arugula yesterday and the prosciutto and manchego today, pressed. The manchego always has the fig jam, but they added it to the arugula one, as well. The result-- warm, crispy bread, gooey cheese, perfectly salty prosciutto, accented by greens and fig jam. So freaking delish! I also had the Devon salad, which is strawberries, walnuts, blue cheese, and a little arugula. It was mostly walnuts, which was great, because walnuts are my favorite. I topped my meal off with a Mississippi brownie. I couldn't resist and it delivered. Deep rich chocolate, with pools of chocolate syrup. I recommend sharing that one. It's intense. They also have a lot of interesting soups soups and pick your own salads, which my co-workers really like. Finally, the men who make the sandwiches looks as good as the sandwiches. Bonus!

Every time I come here I'm pleased. Every single time. Minus government shutdown days....they don't make as many soups during those days.

Their factory is located in neighboring Forestville and I was happy to have found their hotdogs to add to the baskets for my local families. All natural and pure beef, I know these will fill happy bellies. Sandwiches are immense, and their hotdogs rival none other. I sampled and served them during the recent World Series watch I hosted and everyone loved my spin on the Japadog. Back to back win for the Dodgers and grandslam for Stachowski's dogs! As a lifelong fan of classic NY deli (ie Katz's) I had long heard of Stachowski's facsimile. In short, it was a thorough disappointment. Taste-wise, the sandwich tasted as if someone had made corned beef in error, then, realized their mistake and threw pastrami seasoning on it and threw it in a smoker at the last minute. It was tough, chewy, and basically inedible. If you've got a hankering for NYC pastrami, you're better served heading up to Katz's. It's worth the trip.

This is my second time coming for a private event…read moreand both times I've come, I've said out loud, "I should order takeout from them once a week!!" They operate a deli counter in the front and a bar / speakeasy in the back. You can rent out the bar space for private events. Last night, we had the space (and a bartender!) to ourselves, along with 3-4 different types of sandwiches. There is something SPECIAL about their seeded Italian bread. The perfect flakiness and texture. I enjoyed the chicken fontina and Italian. The caprese was my least favorite--not sure if they use a balsamic or what, but the flavor wasn't coming through. Before I left, I decided to order a large chicken cheesesteak to take home for lunch the next day. It was a bit of a risk to order a hot sandwich that I would have in the fridge overnight but I heated it up in our air fryer/toaster oven for all of 10 mins and the bread was good (not soggy) and the sandwich itself was delicious. I enjoyed it so much, I didn't stop to take a photo until the last bite :) It's a decent size sandwich--I ate half for lunch (along with my own chips and veggies) and have another half for tomorrow so while it's not cheap, I think it's reasonable.

There is metered street parking and commercial lots/garages within a reasonable walking distance from here. They serve wraps, salads, and cold and hot sandwiches. I ordered the Korean Steak Sandwich. It took them about 10 to 15 minutes to prepare my sandwich. They should use a number system for order pickups because people, including myself, had difficulty determining which order they were serving. Many of the sandwich names sounded alike. My sandwich was kind of small for the price, and it wasn't very filling. It was, however, very good. It was flavorful and packed with flavor. The service was ok. It was nothing special. They did their job and did not go beyond or be overly friendly. All in all, I would recommend checking this deli out for some really good sandwiches. They really do live up to their name, the Best Sandwich Place.

Personally, don't think the hype meets the expectations. But with that said, it's still a good wrap and I'd get it again but I don't think it's the best wrap I've had or worth going out of your way for. If you're hungry and near by, sure go get it but don't make any special trips just for this wrap. Id love to try their other options on the menu at some point!
