Great place! I took my car in for a squeaky belt. They diagnosed two worn, cracked belts and had them changed and me out the door in two hours.....and at a very reasonable price. Will definitely go here again. Very nice guys too. read more

Even though it took a little time and a good bit of extra money to find the source of our squeak, I am picky about who I let work on our cars and I haven't found anyone I trust more. read more

I am a traveling nurse and being so far away from home with car issues can be intimidating with having to find a new automotive shop with kind owners. My check engine light came on and I popped into Devine Automotive and they did a quick assessment of my car and reset it for me. Problem solved VERY quickly and were so kind. Thank you Devine Automotive! read more

I've lived in Reno for over 20 years and like most places car repair facilities are always a gamble. Most I have found want to rip you off because most people don't know anything about their vehicles and are afraid of working on their own cars, dealerships are no exception. With the amount of driving I do and vehicles I own I have had to learn how to swap out parts, brakes, spark plugs, oil changes and the like and do what I consider light mechanical work. I know enough that if the repair is above my ability then I will have someone else do it. However, I know enough that its hard to take advantage of me when it comes to repairs. I can't tell you how many times that the repair facilities that I have gone to in the past try to pull one over on me. Something I am not patient with is electrical. I got a referral from a friend for Devine Automotive. I have had to take several of my vehicles in for repairs that I simply did not have the time or patience for and I can't say enough about these guys. Tadd and Trevor don't blow smoke, offer exceptional pricing and get the job done without trying to up sell! They are conveniently located and are timely in their repairs and updates. If you are someone that has no idea about what's under the hood, then I would highly recommend these guys. Even if you do know what's going on under the hood and you don't have time to do it give these guys a shot, I don't think you will feel that you got taken advantage of! read more

Since it's been 2.5 years since my last review and things can change, I thought I'd take a moment to write an update. I'm still a big fan of Devine Automotive. Aside from completing work when promised and estimates that are quite accurate (+/- a few bucks), these guys have integrity. When one of our cars developed a significant issue, they said that they'd be happy to do the work but didn't feel it was a smart move to put that much money into that car. read more

Very trustworthy, honest shop. The check engine light in my 1999 Jeep was on, and I thought I was looking at major repairs. Also requested they service my transmission and check my brakes. At a dealer that is a green light for them to charge big $$$. These guys told me neither my brakes nor transmission needed service. They found the problem with the check engine light and fixed it for $225. What I thought would be a major bill was actually minor. Give these guys a try - they won't take advantage of you. read more

Great service, and very knowledgable group of guys! Shop is very nice, and office is really clean and has lots of reading material while you wait for your car to be done. Good area of town. Best price around, and I did the research! Check em out! read more

These are the only mechanics I use in Reno. My car's battery warning light went on driving home. I got the thing home and called Devine. They diagnosed the likely cause of the problem and gave me the likely price. I took the car in the next day, they talked through the problem (alternator) and gave me a variety of different options. They looked up some part alternatives. They had it fixed the same day. If you want an honest auto mechanic in Reno/Sparks then go to Devine. They go the extra mile, they deliver great results for the best price. read more

I needed a high mile tune-up, which was the first for my car since it was 100,000 miles. My husband and I researched shops and he settled for one. However, it had no review and was costly. I looked online at reviews and saw the high reviews for Devine so I decided to call. I spoke with Tadd who was very nice. Scheduled my tune-up. They did a great job. Even changed my license plate bulbs that I didn't know were out. The best part even with the exceptional service was the price. I saved hundreds of dollars than what other competitors were charging. I will definitely come back if I ever have problems with my car. From initial call (inquiry of price), reviews and overall experience, they did a GREAT job. read more

Replaced brakes and rotors for $248. I was shocked to be honest. Less than half the price I was expecting. They even gave me a ride home while they were working on this for 2.5 hours, and they came and picked me up. It's really hard to find a reasonably priced honest mechanic. Tadd and Trevor are that. Atmosphere was clean and professional and they have many bays and mechanics. I have used them once before just for an oil change, which also was just fine. Of course they look over your whole car when doing that to make sure everything is looking fine. Thank you Tadd and Trevor! read more

Something very suspicious about this place. First they only fix what's broken and they don't try adding extra stuff. Second they do good work at a fair price. Third their cusomer service is superb! I have recommended Devine to several people and all were very happy with the services I have used Devine numerous times and have always been happy. . read more

We have been bringing our vehicles to Devine for years and they are consistently outstanding providers of service for our cars. They are always available to help when a check engine light comes on. We really appreciate their honesty and never, ever feel like they are trying to up-sell any service. They have worked on our Toyota 4Runners and Audi A6. I would give them a higher rating if I could! read more

We were in Reno for a tournament when the check engine light came on. We knew no one in the area so used Yelp to guide us. After reading reviews we decided to try this place. The guy ROCKED! He was quick, efficient, friendly, and the shop was really nice and clean. He put my husbands truck on the machine and couldn't find anything wrong with it. He checked under the hood and couldn't find anything wrong. Turns out the switches or plugs connecting the electronics for the light were loose. He tightened them up and sent my husband on his way. The most amazing thing was when my husband asked how much he owed him...he said NOTHING! He spent about 30 minutes diagnosing the problem...or lack of one and didn't charge him anything for his time. It is rare to find someone who is honest, helpful, and really good at what they do. It is even rarer to find someone who isn't out to take you for a ride. We would have gladly paid him SOMETHING for his time. The least we can do is let everyone who reads this review know you are in good hands here at Devine Automotive. Look no further on Yelp. Call this shop and take your car in!! read more

I have brought my truck in about six times now for different service over the past couple years and every time is perfect. I recently dropped my BMW off at Divine Automotive because another shop told me I had a transmission leak and said it would cost me $800.00 to get it fixed. I was greeted by Trevor and I knew I was in the right shop! He was very nice, professional and also funny! He said he would call me with an estimate prior to starting any transmission work. He called me back only to inform me that there was NO TRANSMISSION LEAK. I was floored!!! I almost got ripped off by spending $800.00 on repairs that were unnecessary! This is my new shop if ever I need repairs! If you want an honest shop.... go to Divine Automotive! read more

My family has been doing business with Devine Automotive since they opened. This is absolutely the best and most honorable place to have vehicles serviced in the Reno/Sparks area. Thank you for another excellent job. Your shop is the best and I wouldn't go to another. This shop always goes out of there way for their customers and they do a wonderful job. Very friendly but they've never actually fixed my car. I've taken my car here several times but have never walked away with a fixed car. Very long story short they've always charged me for diagnostic then one of the following happens: -They tell me they don't do that kind of work at their shop and to take it somewhere else -They misdiagnose the problem - They miss a major problem As friendly as these guys are I will not take my car back. I have been there probably 5 or 6 times but have never been completely satisfied with the result. read more

I am new in town and asked for a referral for auto repair from the place where I had my vehicle oiled and lubed. I was referred to Devine Automotive as the owner of the lube shop and the owner of Devine were friends. I called and made an appointment to have my pick-up assessed. I dropped it of in the early bird drop-off. I was called and given the news that there were three things née ding my attention. I was quoted respective prices for each service, by Trevor. I believe he is one of the owners. My initial impression was that the prices were high. My previous experience on repair pricing was in Idaho so I was unfamiliar with Reno pricing. I opted to only have Devine replace an oxygen sensor relative to a fault code PO138. I was verbally quoted $130 parts and labor. When I got a call that the work was finished I was told that the cost would be around $215. I don't recall the exact amount. When I arrived at the shop to pick up my truck, I mentioned that the quote was much less, stating that the estimate was "less than $200." "Okay, we'll take $200" was the response. During the conversation, it was communicated that the estimate had to have been higher because "Nevada law would only allow 10% more than the estimate.. I was then presented a bill for $194.24, which I paid. I wanted to secure my vehicle and The receipt listed three charges: Unidentified charge of $110 LEFT REAR O2 SENSOR NP 78.20T Sales Tax 6.04 The receipt also listed "Drivers rear oxygen sensor is faulty. Estimate $130.00 parts and labor" When I got back to my office, I called Devine and spoke with Tadd Devine and expressed my dissatisfaction. I told him that I felt cheated. He told me I would need to speak with Trevor as he did the bid. but that he was on the phone with another customer. I replied that it was his name on the sign, not Trevor's. We continued in conversation for a few minutes. He tried to explain the difference in estimate vs. price as a diagnostic and service charge. I indicated that the bill did not list such charges and that none were quoted verbally or in the written quote. I asked if Trevor were available. I was told that he was not there. I reminded him that he had just told me that he was on the phone with another customer. He told me he wanted to make it right. I told him that the best time to have made it right was when I was in the store. Mr Devine intimated that he would refund my account as he could use my debit card to do so. We ended the call. There has been no effort to adjust my bill and refund my account. The service was done on February 3, 2016. Today is February 17th, two weeks later. read more

Funny to have 6 check-ins in an auto shop probably isn't the best thing in the world. I like the convenience and location of Devine and they were very open when they didn't have time to fix something - they were courteous. They are pricy! But overall do pretty good work. My headlight went out on my 2007 Avalanche - didn't feel like removing the bumper and spending all the time to fix it myself so I took it there. It's a big job for such a small part - so $300 I have a working headlight which is great! No issues - and it's a company truck so my boss paid for it. I had a check engine light on with NO alarms - turned out to be the oil pressure sensor. Another $300 to fix, I elected not to fix it no biggie. The check engine light came back on - as they said it would, still NO alarms. A week later - brought back the truck because the breaks were spongy and I seemed to be sliding through the stop signs and my breaks weren't gripping right. As I started the truck - my 4 wheel drive alerted me for servicing which isn't new at all. I took it to another shop in Reno that just couldn't figure out why it kept getting stuck in 4-wheel drive. I took it in for that too. They ran a diagnostic to find out what was going on which did something funky to oil sensor and it started alarming and telling me to turn off my engine which was just plain irritating because it wasn't doing that before I took it to them. This was a Friday - they didn't have time to fix it so I brought it back Monday. Brought it in on a Monday - picked it up on a Wednesday. Turned out the transfer case motor was shot so that's the deal with the 4-wheel drive, and the left hub bearing was loose which is why I was wobbling, and the master cyclinder was leaking fluid into the booster, and the calipers were loose on both sides on the front. I had them change the oil pressure switch/sensor because the alarm was going to make me pull my hair out. $2495 total repairs Picked it up about 430 - brought it back to work, went to put my bag in the back and the door didn't unlock. I figured I just needed to change the settings inside to unlock with FOB, maybe they had reset it. I went to yoga - came out to my truck about 9pm, doors still won't open and neither headlights work! Brought it back to them Thursday morning and asked them to fix it. I don't know what's wrong but it was fine before - so fix it. I get a call around noon - the headlights are burned out! But I just had you change them! They fixed them BOTH free of charge as the one was under warranty. However - the door locks relays were both fried in the back and the battery was going dead. Ironic all the electrical went bad at the same time, right? I would say coincidence - but that's just too convenient. They said they didn't touch any electrical - wellllllllllll the transfer case motor needs POWER to operate so that's electrical, and the pressure switch also operates with POWER, and the headlights too. I'm a mechanical engineer I deal with motors and switches all day - they need electricity to operate. They didn't have time to fix the battery or doors on Thursday so I picked it up AGAIN and brought it back Friday morning. Friday morning - Replaced the battery ($198), reset the POWER (but that's not electrical right). Door locks still don't work, they don't replace the relays in the 2007 models because it's in the fuse box and they have to do reprogramming. Understandable - changing a fuse box sucks, I 've done it. Took it to the dealer - looks like there was a power surge because the relays are fried, the headlight connectors are fried, along with a few fuses - burnt to a crisp. They fixed it $300 easy peasy same day. Rather than argue responsibility of the surge or whatever caused these issues - it's fixed. I may return since it's close and I can walk home or to work - but I'll be more alert if it's anything non-mechanical being fixed or assessed. read more

Cannot say enough good things about them! I had a flashing CEL and over the phone Trevor talked to me about it, answered all my questions, and was very patient. I was able to drop my car off that day after work (Monday). They called to update me the next day (Tuesday) about 2pm with a full diagnosis of my car. They didn't do any work without my full permission and emailed me a detailed, itemized estimate and even spoke with my Dad about what to do. Very patient and kind. Called me the following day (Wednesday) and said I was able to pick it up after 10:30am! They were so fast but the best part is they are open until 5:30 so I didn't have to leave work early! Very honest and skilled mechanics. Highly recommend and so glad I found a trustworthy, decently priced auto shop in Reno. read more

Being new to the Reno area is tough when you have an immediate breakdown. I looked up Auto Repair and took a chance on Devine's. Pat treated me like family. The work was done fast and when additional items were found that needed attention they weren't afraid to tell me saving a probable future breakdown (cracking Serpentine belt). The final cost was below the estimate (which was slightly lower than the estimate I received for a highly rated facility in north Reno) and in line with what my old hometown mechanic told me it should be - yeah I called them 200 miles away to check! They also dropped me off and picked me up at work. I highly recommend you give them a try if you need service done. Oh yeah, they give a Yelp discount if you say you found them on Yelp!! read more

I have been to these guys multiple times for maintenance on my Jeep Cherokee, and they are always through, honest, and reasonably priced. I bought my 2004 Toyota Corolla in October 2014 and have been taking it to Devine Automotive since January 2015. It runs great and I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of service and friendliness that Devine Automotive provides. These guys are very reasonable and efficient! Twice in the past year I've driven to Southern California to visit family and friends. I drove south on Hwy. 395, over the mountain passes, through the Mojave desert and into Southern California. On my return trips to Reno, I drove back through the Mojave desert and back up Hwy. 395 and over the mountain passes, in which my car had excellent performance on both occasions. I find that to be outstanding, considering my first trip was in August, 2015, in which I drove in 100 degree temperatures just about the entire 500-mile drive back to Reno. The fact that I had the confidence and peace of mind of having my car maintained at Devine Automotive made my road trips even that much more enjoyable!!! And to top it off, I was very impressed the first time I ever walked into Devine Automotive. I thought to myself that this was the nicest auto repair business that I had ever patronized - and that was even before I had any work done at all on my car! The waiting area is very clean and spacious with a large variety of magazines. Customers may help themselves to coffee and the small model cars on display add a nice touch. Thank you very much Devine Automotive! read more

I recommend them without hesitation. I went in for regular maintenance. I had replaced two of the spark plugs myself a few months back but got stuck on the third one. I brought in the extra two I hadn't installed yet. Not only did they use the two I already had, but they let me know that the fuel filters I wanted replaced actually didn't exist on this car. They did replace the drive belt which undoubtedly needed it since it had never been replaced in 150,000 miles. They could have certainly said they couldn't install parts they couldn't vouch for and could have told me they had to replace the other two spark plugs as well. I've been told that by other auto mechanics that for similar situations. While I was waiting, 3 others came in requesting service. One had a list of things the dealer wanted to do. Tadd said that they do what the manufacturer suggests, not the dealer, saving that customer a ton on work that didn't need to be done. Another was concerned about some issue I didn't actually hear, but the mechanic came back and said there was no problem, they just tightened something down and she was good to go. With each customer, they were looking out for that customer with honesty and without taking advantage of them. Even when they could have easily done so. You can trust these guys. That's saying a lot and they are my mechanics from now on. read more

Fantastic Service. Friendly, Knowledgeable, grateful they are so close to home. Even checked out my battery, which wasn't on my list, but after all it was 9 yrs. old, so they were only looking out for my best interest, as I certainly needed one. Been to another garage in town that advised me for safety reasons, I needed 3 items repaired, only to find out I did not need them, after Devine checked the List. MOST IMPORTANT, THEY ARE HONEST. THEY DO NOT TRY & SELL YOU SOMETHING YOU DO NOT NEED. Also their repair services are reasonably priced, and don't over charge the customer. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM, when your auto has a problem this is the place to take it. Cynthia read more

Replaced my radiator on a Friday afternoon for a fair price. Very knowledgeable mechanics.

I am very sad to say that I was very disappointed in the service I received from here. 4 yr ago I had a new water pump radiator power steering pump and timing belt done. in January I had to have a new radiator and water pump again after only 30 thousand mile so I had them do timing belt also. The price was more than double what I paid 4 yrs ago and I didn't even have power steering pump done. 2 hrs into the service I was called saying I needed a new manifold gasket because I was leaking oil. I informed them I had never seen any oil drip to the ground ever under my vehicle and that it was every dime I had just to get the work done that was scheduled. So they said they would use silicone to lessen the leak. So I picked up my vehicle drove home to Fallon glad I was safe driving home. I got up next day warmed up vehicle and to my surprise I had an oil leak the size of a saucer. I had to find a mechanic in Fallon to help with the leak. It turned out to be a loosened oil filter. Wonder how that happened. I am sad to say I will never refer anyone to them again or have them service my vehicle. I dint even get a kiss. read more

These guys are fast, reasonable, and honest. I won a free oil change from KOZZ at a repair shop in Sparks, while there, they told me I needed new brake pads, my rotors turned, and new calipers.
