AMAZING WINGS! GOOD PEOPLE! I think my boyfriend might agree that I'm obsessed with the wings at Devil's. I've tried a bunch of different kinds and honestly their just good ol' regular hot buffalo wings are the best I've ever had, you can quote me on that. The Sweet Thai Chilli are my next favorites. I had to take a break from eating here so often because I would seriously eat here everyday. I only get the wings but my boyfriend loves the grilled chicken salad -- Comes with a lot of chicken and all types of veggies, but he orders extra chicken and it's enough to eat over 2 days. Devils has become out #1 no-frills, cheap but good, comfort food stop in Durham since we discovered it. We really like to get, for pickup, their strombolis (big and oh so tasty), and chocolate dipped cannolis. Haven't eaten in their location yet, but have ordered delivery a number of times! I love their White Pizza and their Buffalo Chicken Pizza. Their Buffalo Chicken pizza is better than any i've had before, because their buffalo sauce is legit, they put a ton of it on, and the chicken isn't fake and rubbery like most places. The White Pizza was way better than I expected, very Ricotta but nicely balanced, the crust is delicious. I've tried their wings and they were way better than I expected for a pizza place! Also I recommend their garlic knots (just not the dipping marinara with them). Their only weakness is their marinara, but since I only get specialty pizzas it us not a problem for me! I love them! This pizzeria is located in a great area just right by Duke. It is a small place with a couple of places to sit down and enjoy your food. They have pizza, wings, calzones, pasta, subs and salad. I personally like their wings, which they have over 30 flavors to choose from. The pizza is good along with the pasta. Great staff who are always very polite. I've been an customer at Devil's since they opened in late 2008. Prior to I was a avid Randy's and Italian pizzeria customer. Not only are the slices bigger, but the sauce has a much better taste and toppings taste extremely better than other pizza places. The wings and pasta are absolutely amazing. I've fallen in love with them both so much that I rarely get the pizza anymore. Almost 6.5 years later I'm still experimenting here and trying new things. They have THE best hot wings taste just like my dads homemade ones we order here every Sunday for our football wings. We've only been disappointed a handful of times, as sometimes their wings are really tiny, and should require more wings in the order or a price reduction other than those couple of times though they're amazing! read more

I just hope I caught them on an off night. Ordered a cheese pizza for delivery. First, pizza came lukewarm. I had to heat it in the oven. Second, where is the flavor?!? It was one of the most flavorless pizzas I have ever tasted, and this is including microwave pizzas! I have to agree with a previous reviewer that the crust was like cardboard. Usually I can dismiss this when the flavors are there, but it was just a bland pizza. Usually I am excited for pizza leftovers but these might see the compost. The best thing about this order was the box. It took an hour for the order to arrive, which is understandable given that I ordered it at 7:45PM on a Friday night. However, that is where the understanding ends. The pizza I received tasted like its friends were sold yesterday, and it somehow got left behind. I'd say that pasta dishes get 6 stars and the slice of cheese that I had was probably a 2 or 3, perhaps higher if I had it fresh in the store but when delivered as an add-on to the greatest chicken parmesan dinner, not so much. I should clarify that the first time I ordered there, both orders of chicken parmesan deserved 6 stars as they were drowning in the delicious sauce (gravy for the Itals). The second time would be closer to 4.5 stars as there was far less of the delicious sauce- however, a ton more spaghetti, which was nice. I'm about to order two more servings (for me and someone else, not all for me!) and hoping that these are right in the sweet spot with a ton of pasta and a ton of delicious sauce. The garlic bread and garlic knots are also great. The Yelp/24 delivery is so/so since they were right on time (50 minutes, early Saturday evening) the first time but way late (90 minutes, dinner time on a weeknight) the second time. I've never lived anywhere where delivery drivers don't go straight to the apartment but just sit out in there car- I don't know, is that a Durham thing? Don't let the delivery hold you back from going to the restaurant or ordering with the caveat that the time may vary. read more
