Chris is a genius. I had a new heat/air system installed as part of a huge job through New Key construction. The sub contractor New Key used put in a faulty system and over the course of 2 years and 6 + visits could not fix it. (FYI be wary of new key's subcontractors in general, looong list of problems on that 175k job). I called new key and said I'm tired of dealing with these guys who can't figure it out, I need someone else. They sent Chris. Chris did not give up until he found the issue! After several tries on his own he called the manufacturer. They suggested he check the electrical flow and sure enough there was a faulty part somewhere in there. I'm sitting here in my warm house finally! Highly recommend Chris. And he's a super nice guy. read more

Chris and his team did an excellent job replacing our HVAC system. Chris runs a tight ship, he's on time, every time. We had a special circumstance and needed him to work closely with two other contractors to do the job, and he worked very well with everyone to get the job done and done well. He and his team are also very kind and a pleasure to work with. I'm very happy we went with Devil Mountain! read more

Chris first installed our HVAC system in 2019 and he has been fantastic the whole time we have known him. He was super helpful during installation and has always kept it running great. The one time he was busy and we tried someone else we regretted it. Chris gets my highest recommendation. read more

Chris was recommended to me by a general contractor. I was having trouble with my furnace and thermostat. He was able to come the same day to repair the system. When the repair turned out not to work, he returned the next day to troubleshoot and fix the problem at no charge. He replaced a thermostat for me at a reasonable price. read more

Chris did all heating and AC in a house that we bought this Summer as part of a larger project and they were wonderful to work with. He was on time with everything, reasonably priced, and overall had a very friendly team who we always trusted with the work. I'll definitely be hiring Devil Mountain for all future HVAC needs in our home! read more

I've used Chris multiple times for quick repair, relocating ac unit, and new furnace installation. He's professional, reliable, quick and super nice. We've been really happy with him and will be using him for our AC upgrade too! read more

Chris Delamain, the owner/operator is absolutely fantastic to work with. He moved our furnace into the attic and re did the vents, along with our range hood exhaust. He was on time and did an amazing job. He even gave us the option of adding a part (the coil if I remember correctly) to the furnace so that when we decide to install an A/C unit, it will be ready for it and overall less expensive. Then 2 years later, our furnace stopped working. He came out the next day, figured out the problem, took it apart and repaired it. ALL IN UNDER 30 MINUTES! He then said that it was no charge (which we could not let fly.) The problem? The fan was not bolted completely to the motor shaft at the factory (like it should have), so it had slipped off and was no longer attached and would not blow any air. I can not recommend another HVAC gentleman now that I have met and used Chris. If you need someone to install a new system or just modify-add-fix your your current one, give him a call: 925-250-3147 Thanks again Chris! read more

Awesome business. Chris came out and fixed our AC. We had other co.'s bids and they wanted over $12k, Chris took care of our problem for a fraction of that. Professional, honest, and great customer service read more

Chris Delamain and his team at Devil Mountain Mechanical (HVAC) do fantastic work at excellent prices. Chris and his guys always recommend the finest equipment for heating and air conditioning repairs and installations. We asked Chris to bid on a project to install a super quiet attic fan (the two year old fan it replaced was noisy and had frozen up); wireless zone heating/AC controls in the bedrooms with individual room thermostats; a fire code compliant ventilation system for the garage; and a super quite vaulted ceiling exhaust fan for the kitchen. The work was completed in less than three days. The fixtures were top-of-the-line and installed with meticulous care. Everything looked original. When my wife elected to change the location of the kitchen exhaust fan to a more discrete location, Chris replied, "No problem" even though it meant two hours of additional work relocating low-voltage transformers located in the attic crawl space adjacent to the installation area. Chris performed the more difficult installation without a change order and no increase in the cost of the installation. Now here's the kicker: I had a trusted electrician (Joe of Bajada Electric) on-site doing some unrelated work. Joe pulled me aside and said, "Come take a look at this..." He showed me the zone heating installation for the bedrooms, it looked PERFECT! Even though no one would ever see the installation, every control, every switch, and every duct was perfectly aligned and level. The equipment, including the original heater/AC unit had been cleaned. But that wasn't what Joe wanted me to see. "Look at that flange. They didn't like the original installation, so they replaced it." Yep, they had fixed things that weren't even part of the bid! And not just one or two things; Joe showed me three changes and upgrades that Chris and his team had performed, without charging me a red cent! Oh, by the way, to keep costs down, Chris does his own scheduling and is often at the mercy of his suppliers when it comes to getting everything delivered (JIT) for the installation, so cut him some slack if he misses a phone call. He's worth the effort. WARNING: I found out he's typically booked for three or four weeks in advance, so make sure you plan ahead. Chris is and always has been an honest and hard working small business owner. He goes above and beyond to make sure the job is done right and at a fair price. You may see this in some other reviews as well but he often times will go out of his way to fix things that are not part of his proposal. His work is always perfect. I can tell you story after story about how perfect his work is. He is a family man and someone you can trust and enjoy having in your home. I highly recommend Chris and Devil Mountain Mechanical!!! read more

We purchased a home with that needed heating/air repairs. There are a couple reasons I gave a high rating to this company. First, out of the three quotes I received for the work needed, Chris (the owner) was the ONLY one who informed me of asbestos around the ducting in the house and under the crawlspace. I don't know alot about asbestos other than it is harmful to breathe in but I was glad to take care of that and get rid of the asbestos ducting and not worry about it anymore. I was thankful he pointed that out when others didn't, so 'I did not have issues with it later. Next, I was happy with the work that was done. Ducting was installed in the crawlspace and in the ceilings, so we finally had heat! The workers were very professional, they worked quickly, and communicated what was being done. Chris is easy to reach by phone and answered all questions I had. read more

I interviewed 5 contractors for the Job of installing an AC system in My house, Chris was the only contractor who took a look inside the Attic, their price wasn't the lowest, but very close. I believe it was reasonable for the equipment they provided and because they were very trustworthy and knowledgeable, I decided to work with them and Glad that I did. They Removed old wall heater, built a platform in the attic, build new duct work, did electrical and plumbing changes and installed equipment and ran it perfectly in 3 days. I was able to work from home while they are installing the system, they were pretty quiet and professional. they clean the house and cover all the furniture during their work, also I had to do minor drywall and paint job, not damages were caused by a big task. I'll do further work with them in the future. read more

We purchased a home that was in desperate need of repairs, including issues with the air conditioner. When we called Devil Mountain Mechanical, it was in the middle of a heat wave. Chris, the owner, found the time to evaluate the condition of the unit and due to its age, we had to replace the furnace as well. Thankfully, Chris was able to install the new unit while we were on vacation, by the time we came home, we had a cool house, with all materials and debris removed from the site; the area was left nice and clean and at a very affordable price. Chris did everything he said he would do and there were no surprises. This is the second home where Chris has installed our air conditioner, and we just can't say enough good things about him or offer a higher recommendation of his company. read more

Chris did a great job, he installed a new furnace and air conditioning, and in a section of our home that was always cold, updated the vents. HIs price was good and work was done in a timely manner. read more

Chris was amazing! He came out to give us a quote to replace our A/C condenser since we had paid another company to tell us it was bad. He did attempt to repair ours first but then agreed that it should be replaced. His prices were the best that we were quoted by anyone. He had the A/C repaired the same day! I will absolutely use him again for any HVAC needs, recommend anyone else to not look any further than Chris. read more

My heater broke and I called around to find a repair person at 7 am. No one answered except Chris. He told me that he was busy all this week and he couldn't do it. But he told me how to fix it myself. Now I know why he's busy. He's a great guy! If I didn't have a cold house with three kids I would wait for him to repair my heater. read more
