would give it zero stars for rudeness and service if that was an option. Food tastes good, will likely show up to your place cold.

I don't even know where to begin... I went into this location to grab my typical order for my gf and I. 3 plain hotdogs and a bucket of fries. I walked in and noticed that within two month, they've raised their prices on everything once again. My order would usually be $15 and was now $20. I asked the cashier what the hell is going on and he informed me that they're under new management and all they care about is $ and they're losing a lot of their customers. I couldn't believe as you could tell this fella was so stressed over people saying the same thing. I got home and went to eat the food with my girl. We both took a bite, well tried to and looked at each other like wtf.. I was biting into beef jerky. We legit couldn't bite through the skin of the hotdog for whatever reason. We threw the order out and ordered pizza. I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE! New managers need to resign and treat their employees better. read more

One of my favorite spots in the entire city. They have addictive milk shakes, amazing french fries, fantastic sliders and dogs. This is one of the few places where the food is overall fantastic across the board. It's a great place to get take-out or sit-in and watch a game. Either way, I highly reccommend it. read more

Sooo good! I have been to Chicago a number of times and sadly walked past this place a few times. (Bc from the outside signage it seemed intimidating) Once I went in again overwhelming with the menu on the wall but food amazing. The staff was super friendly. I had my 10 year old son with me and they addressed him directly and answered all questions he had on the menu. He even had a special order and they were 100% cool with it. read more

When I'm in the mood for a hotdog or a hallway to throw it down, this is the place. Come for the food, stay for the drunk college girls. I love the mini burgers, fresh cut fries and chocolate malts. I like this place so much that I own the shirt. read more

Good veggie dogs and shake but pricey. $30 for 3 vegetarian dogs, coke and shake. Each topping is extra. Would be nice if gave unlimited toppings for price charged. No ambiance and guy ringing up order is gruff. read more

I'm a FedEx driver n I come here often it's a great place with great food the shakes are superb and the atmosphere is nice I highly recommend it read more

Their Chicago Dog had way too much relish for my liking but the rest of the hot dog was delicious. Their Hawaiian pineapple milkshake is amazing. Now you have to love pineapples because have never seen that amount of pineapples in a drink before! I promise it tastes great! The cashier was extremely friendly and the workers have created a great "chill" environment. Will definitely be going back soon! read more

Stopped in because we liked the name and the décor from the outside. 8 in our party, 7 ordered dogs, 1 ordered the cheeseburger. We all agreed these were basically Oscar Meyer dogs, nothing special. The cheeseburger tasted fantastic but was really tiny, could have used 2. The fries were great. The best part was definitely the milkshake, everyone in our party ordered one and we ordered several varieties. They all were outstanding. It was a pretty tiny place, but the décor was fun. If they upgraded to a better dog, I would rave about the place, but I felt like I could make it just as well in a microwave. read more

Devil Dawgs is the epitome of low cost classic burgers that are actually tasty. With a vast array of burger and hot dog combinations, hand cut fries, and delicious milkshakes, it is the perfect place to grab a bite and indulge in all the splendor provided here. I frequent here often since moving to Chicago and as a fan of Five Guys, I must say I have found a new love. My personal favorites are the BBQ Bacon Cheese and the Morning Burger with fries and a milkshake (preferably the Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate or Sweet Caramel). Definitely recommend. And pick up a Belly card for great rewards. read more

As most native born Chicagoans, I love a good dog. So, spotting this place around the corner from where I work was a good thing. They serve a fried chicken sandwich that is out of this world, but also huge and messy....so prepare yourself. The dogs, standard Vienna are good too. They have buckets of fries that can be topped with just about anything. Unfortunately they fall flat. You would think that with all the topping, one's mouth would be going crazy, and yet, these are actually kinda tasteless. Green chile usually has my heart and tongue singing, on the fries, you got a little heat but none of the flavor. Priced fairly, but, the fries aren't worth the calories. read more

Great prices on everything and the taste was everything I wanted. If your in town for landmark do not pass this by if you want to taste a touch of Chicago style hot dogs. read more

Great Chicago Dogs - Vanilla Bean Shake was really good - onion rings with sauce - Coney Cheese Dog and Seoul Dawg very good

The burgers here no matter what size you order are so small that a basic dinner roll that could be bought at krogers is the size of the bun, but the bun isn't an actual bun, it is indeed a dinner roll, that could be bought from krogers! Their dogs are ok, but I would never buy a burger from them. You will be highly disappointed with read more

Food here is delicious and cheap! Not the place to go if you are watching calories though. Chicago dog is a good choice and same with their burgers. The chili they have is a bit sweet which I'm not use to so beware. Their devil sauce is amazing! I'd order it on the side of your fries / burger they tend to load it on. We've also tried their chicken sandwiches which will hit the spot if that's why you're craving. Shakes are also really good! And they are open late! read more

We came upon this place because I was getting "hangry" and I needed to eat. This was so good!!!!!!! I had the Seoul Dawg, Chicago Dog, and Morning Burger. As I am writing this review my mouth is watering. This place is so good and i am so happy that I stopped here. I am excited to go back to Chicago just so that I can eat here again!!! read more

Had the chili cheese hot dog. It was pretty good! Came with cheese, mustard and chili, of course

The shakes were good but we were not impressed with the hot dogs. We wanted a good Chicago dog, but were disappointed.

I'm not really a hot dog fan, but the Chicago dog was pretty good. Nice crisp pickle, jalapeño and tomatoes. Even the relish was good. I had onion rings with awesome sauce and the rings were really golden and crisp. My only complaint is that there was no bathroom for clients to use and I couldn't get them to refill the lemonade. read more

Great tasting dogs I saw a lot of people ordering milk shakes gonna have to try that out. Price is reasonable, atmosphere is good for fast food place read more

4 for flavor, -30 for the 24 hours of vomiting right after. Never been so sick. Made even worse that this was my "leaving Chicago" lunch spot, and I got to spend the next 5 hours on a plane and 2 hours in a car doing the most killer abs work out in the tiny airplane bathroom (even while landing - which the pilot was not happy about, btw), on the side of La Cienga, the 405, the 5, and the 101 freeways all the way home. Good news: don't have to worry about those calories from the Coney Fries and Chili Bacon dog. Bad News: will probably never be able to eat a hot dog or chili again. Thanks, Devil Dawgs. That was the worst food poisoning I've ever had. read more

Great fast food that is a good price for the portions! Glad I got to try my first Chicago dog here!

If I could give this place a zero I would. Not necessarily because of the food, but in the three times I have been there not a single employee has worn gloves while handling and assembling my food. Nor have I seen them wash their hands in between orders....I don't know where your hands have been so please don't touch my food without gloves. A waste of money since all I ate was the fries (the only thing not handled with bare hands) read more

What a load of yummy! Not for the faint of heart of heart condition. Just plain good food. Roll up your sleeves.

I was staying at a hotel nearby, felt lazy and Postmates food from here for my friends and I. Big mistake. The Chicken Sandwich was inedible, the fries were hard, and the burger was cold. It was very unfortunate because I was so hungry. Maybe I should have gotten a hot dog instead? There are tons of better fast food options in Chicago, do not waste your money. read more

The employees on State Street asked me not to buy a homeless man some food and then criticized me for it. The little man at the counter said, "he'll just come back again" I've been going there for a while so to be treated like an ass hole for trying to buy a homeless man some food is a pretty shit move. And to make nothing into something in front of other customers is pretty childish. I wonder what they'll say when I go back and fill every seat in the house so I can buy everyone a meal. Homeless people gotta eat too. read more

Perfect hot dogs. Hard to say there is a single great hot dog place. This place ranks in the upper group.

Like this place, one of the better hotdog joints in chicago. Have a wide variety of hotdogs, the conie cheeese dog and chicago dog are delicious...dont forget to try thier milkshakes good..around 3 bucks a hotdog which is not bad, Nice location as well. Staff are friendly most the time read more

Awesome place. This is fast food unlike any other. You can taste the superior quality in every hot dog and every burger. I got the BBQ Bacon burger and it was delicious. There is nothing bad to say about DD. read more

The food was delicious, and the portions were perfect! The prices were great for the amount of food (an actual bun-sized dog with chili and cheese and a bag of fries)! The service was quick and the guys behind the counter were friendly. If I am ever back in Chicago, I am definitely coming back! read more

I was pretty reluctant about trying this place at first, but I found that it was amazing. The shakes are as good as they come, and the burgers and dogs are inexpensive, but also incredibly tasty. The fries are pretty much always fresh, and the addition of the onion rings was a great decision - they're delicious. If you're in the mood for a burger or dog and fries, I highly recommend Devil Dawgs. Try the shakes too. Seriously. I was skeptical at first. They're outrageously good. read more

Got the standard Chicago Dog, and it was about as I expected. One thing I specifically like here: they chop up the hot peppers so that you don't either have a mouthful of hot pepper or none...it evens out the pepper throughout the hot dog. I will be going back when I'm in the area. read more

When you absolutely, positively have to have a Chicago dog and you need it fast, cheap and good, come here. Being from the suburbs, I am ashamed to admit that I haven't had much in the way of Chicago dogs. I now consider myself sufficiently enlightened. I came here with some friends from out of town. They had a combination of the Chicago dog, the New York dog and the Seoul dog. The Chicago dog had the required complement of peppers, onions, relish, mustard and a pickle that won't make you flinch from the acidity. Ensconced within a soft poppy seed bun, the dog itself is firm with the expected snap from a Vienna hot dog. You can easily snap this up in 2-3 bites, but I recommend that you savor it. According to my friends, the Seoul dog was punchy, but not overwhelming in its spiciness. The New York dog's only flaw was an inherent structural one, with the sauerkraut spilling over. I also had a bacon BBQ double burger. Though small and smashed (a point of pride at this establishment), it packed a good deal of bad-for-you flavor. Devil Dawgs isn't fancy, but it's very good at what it does. You CAN have it fast, cheap and good. Highly recommended. read more

They are my local supplier of Chicago style hot dogs. They are open late late, so I can wander here after hours and grab a bite after a night on the town. WYSIWYG, they're a hot dog joint that gets it right most of the time. read more

Pretty good hot dog! I would ask devil style, when the actual sausage link is thicker. Fries (bag o' fries) are homemade, and the portion is more than enough. read more

Horrible experience. Visiting Chicago from Jersey and heard I should try this place. Ordered delivery, order was messed up. I said no slaw and pickles on my sandwich but yet it did. Food was cold, bun was soggy. And to top it off the delivery driver was rude as hell hounding me for a tip! Never again read more

So the chicago dogs are straight forward and good...but the clucker sandwich...cooked perfect and had the best bite to it. Not sure what kind of spicy slaw was on it but even for people who claim to hate coleslaw...because I kind of do, this sandwich kicked ass. And for $5 it'll fill an average person up. Skip the chain restaurangs and give devil dawgs a try. read more

Literally astounding. I've rarely ever enjoyed food this much in my life. Please go here. The burgers, although rather small, are cheap and incomparable to any other burger I've had in my life. All I had was the double "Original Cheese Burger" and I might be in love. The shakes are also fantastic, I purchased the peanut butter and chocolate flavor and almost passed out. It's cheaper than most suburban restaurants I've been to and better as well. Would easily recommend to anyone. read more
